So, our company has been around for over 35 years we have 5-star reviews all over the internet and a A+ rating with the BBB. on 1/25/2022 I became the 3rd generation to take over the family business. Do to my dad have life threatening medical issues. we had to file a living will, full power of attorney and remove him of any shares in the company and all titles. On 3/21/2022 Angi's Ads came a calling with deal of the centry. to have us listed in the top two on their web site under mold testing Remedition, water damage and kitchen and bath remolding, for Charlotte and Sarasota counties. they told him for the last 90 days 57 leads were given to the company that spot we would be taking over. My dad told them he was retired and he would have to pass the info over to his son who has now taken over the company. They asked to be transferred over to me. He told the salesmen I was not available. The salesmen started giving him high pressure sales my dad hung up. They started calling back instantly for what he said felt like ten minuets. Hey then answered the phone and was locked in he trying to hang up several times and the phone would not hang up he tried to shut the phone down and was unable. the salesmen at one point brought in another closer and they both tag teamed him. he finally gave in and agreed to a one year $15,000 contract at $1,250.00 per month. they had him sign a contract in my name and paid the $1,250.00 first month on a credit card in my name that my dad is not a signer on or authorized to use. he got the credit card info from my personal file. He then came to me to set up the program on my phone. told me it was a free trial and could be canceled in 30 days. I tried setting it up the program would not fully download to my phone. they were getting all the info off a old company that had been shut down for over six years. A old LLC company That my dad had owned wrong company name wrong contact person wrong phone numbers. was starting to be a nightmare my dad seamed really on edge had been 24 hours scene he signed and was hoping leads would be coming in by now. he then confessed that he was talked into signing a agreement for $15,000 for a year of preferred vender referrals. and that he had used my card for the payments. I told him absolutely to call and cancel it right now. I called and canceled my credit card and am in dispute with them on the return of the $1,250.00 to my credit card. they are refusing they refused to cancel the contract for over 3 weeks then canceled and are saying I own them over $5,600 in cancellation fees. and have been harassing my dad with calls from attorneys and collection agency's. there sales staff call him over 5 times a days and amp him up. I've asked them several time not to call him or email him that he has nothing to do with the company. that they are just bullying a dyeing man. he has gone to the hospital twice over their harassing phone calls. with a blood pressure of 255/185/ at 155 beats heart rate. They find this funny and continue to call and email him everyday.
