Angi Ads review: Poor service /poor return value

I signed up for Angi Ads services for my business several months ago, and pay $850/month for leads generations. I was told that the leads will be high quality leads that come from the paying members of Angi, and will be suitable for the full renovation services that we offer. Unfortunately, the leads Angi ads generated for us have not been good ones, yet Angi Ads keeps charging us $850/month. Most of the leads we received were not filtered. For example: a house addition lead turned out to be a small job that seeks to put a screen on an existing porch. This is a small job suitable for a handyman not for a Class A residential building contractor like us. We also received leads that were not in our coverage area, leads that no one answers, etc. After several months of paying for the service, I decided to call and cancel our company’s membership with Angi Ads.

I contacted John Purdy who is our so-called success manager. He refused to listen to my concerns, talked over me, and repeatedly boasts how great he is at his job. I tried to talk to him several times without any success of getting through his praise of his own “greatness”. I called him today again to either terminate my contract or reduce the monthly amount we are paying. I voiced my concern that the leads we received are poor quality! At the beginning he said the reviews are important which I agree. But how could we get more reviews if the leads Angi Ads sends us are bad low-value leads that don’t turn into projects! Then he started talking about himself again, refused to listen to my concerns and over-talked me again, not giving me any chance to express my opinions or decisions. Basically, he does not listen to my concerns and blabbers about himself continuously. After 20 some minutes I am more frustrated than before making the call and have no solution to my concerns. He said there is no supervisor available to talk to, and he is the one who makes decisions. He basically told me that there is nothing we can do but to keep working with him if we want to we work with Angi Ads. I do not to wish to work with someone who is ignorant, doesn’t care about clients concerns, over values himself without providing a valuable service in return. I am concerned that I am a paying customer, have a contract with Angi Ads not with the client success manager named John Purdy!

I really wished I knew this kind of setup before signing the contract with Angi ads.

I need someone from Angi Ads to reach out to me to either cancel my membership or reassign my account to a different account manager!

Desired outcome: Cancel membership or seeking different client success manager
