I am a home owner living out of state. We used 534 rent for our home. They are very rude to the owner when you want info on your property. The office staff is not helpful at all, they act like you are disturbing them and can't be bothered to get back to you. They rip you off on costs to fix things the tenants need fixing. We rented a home through 534 Rent for 2 years. They were very slow about coming to repair minor things in the home. We hardly ever received a timely callback from them. 534 RENT Dishonest Rental Company

We tried using Wes Culvers 534 Rent to broker a contract between a renter (us) and the property owner. Cindy Wirt, the office worker, was extremely rude to us and failed to pass along information to us. We were told she was reprimanded, but it had no positive effect in our situation.

We made repeated inquires to the home owner and 534 Rent about the status of our contract. Three weeks later they had still not called us, even once. At this point, we told the owner that we would walk away if we did not have a contract in three days. When the owner pressed 534 Rent, they claimed the situation had been handled and we had agreed to accept a contract from them in two weeks. In our opinion they were dishonest and rude.

After spending 30 days trying to get them to send us a contract, we walked away. 3 business days later they had rented the property to someone else (application processed, contract completed and deposit accepted).

In our opinion they are not an honest company. We have taken our business elsewhere and suggest you do the same.

It will not matter if you pay rent on time, follow rules, laws and regulations... in the end, this joke of a company will turn your account over to collections before even 30 days pass. The lovely 1300+ I was charged upon leaving for "crumbs, trash removal (an oatmeal box in a corner of a cupboard and a stool), painting over a STICKER, and cleaning carpet that was not suitable for me to live on initially" is nothing short of being charged top dollar for repairs in a bottom dollar establishment - leaving you to regret every moment of your former residence. Management responds in short and higher than thou fashion. Also make note, they are well informed of drug use and inappropriate behavior by residents and do literally NOTHING to stop it... aside from drafting letters which do not change the situation. As a parent, I am disgusted at the amount of calls that I made about the behavior of a resident that was literally steps away from mine and my child's home. If you want a nice clean break - do NOT rent from 534rent. You will regret it.

Contact the State's Attorney General...lodge a complaint. They look at every complaint and can insure some action is taken.

Worst company to rent from. Rude and slow to respond to issues! Please stay away from them. I feel bad for the tenants and the owners. We have excellent credit and always pay early. My husband is transferred a lot so sometimes we need to rent. We have owned 4 homes in 30 years and rented 6. This has been the worst experience we have ever had. It's really sad because the house was great. I read several bad reviews before I rented and I wanted to believe the best in them. I was wrong. Don't trust them. You won't sleep well at night. There are too many other options in renting. 534rent is awful!

In regards to the couple who worked with Cindy Wert and waited for ever to get a contract. They had made verbal arrangements with the owner prior to 534-rent even having an actual contract with the owner to rent the home for her. The house was still being lived in so 534-rent could not even get into the home to look at it and make sure it was even rentable. The reason the other contract went through so fast was because as soon as 534-rent actually got the contract from the owner, they went in and filled everything out properly, was told that someone else was already being considered, but would be next in line, so when it didn't go through everything was already in place. I know this because...I too talked to the owner personally during that 30 days their talking about, was told it would be through 534-rent to talk to them (not that it was already rented) called them, had to wait till they got the contract from owner, then waited my turn. Cindy, Heather and everyone else there was very upfront and professional about the situation, they acted as quickly as they could once they actually had access to the home. They've taken great care of us and repairs in a very timely manner with wonderful communication, since we moved in at the end of August last year. I would recommend this company to everyone. We agree that 534 rent is a horrible place to rent from! We rented from them for several yrs and they never took care of important issues, only worried about stupid unimportant things. We left the house very very clean and ready to rent and they tried sayin we left the place discusting and dont want to give us our deposit back. Screw this rentsal place...They are some lame ### people and a lame ### business to rent from! They like to lie thier ### off, thats for sure!
