September 7, 2022 I and my best friend traded her pickup in for a 2014 Fiat 500L at the Renton Honda Autonation in Renton WA.

I drove it for 20 days in the Longview WA area, our home town, on short trips to the store, park and doctor’s office. On September 27th the car would not go into gear. I called the dealership and asked what I needed to do.

The dealership had the car towed to a certified mechanic in Longview. The mechanic wasn’t able to access the car’s computer for diagnosis.

I called the dealership in Renton and they said they would tow it back to Renton and get it diagnosed there. Before the Longview mechanic shop would release the car I had to pay, out of pocket, $147 for the previous tow. They didn’t pick up the car for towing until October 14th. They said it was because the appointment they made with the Fiat mechanic was for October 24th. I had previously requested a loaner car and they said it had to be diagnosed first before the warranty would kick in for that. I repeatedly stated we needed transportation long before they even towed the vehicle to Renton. We couldn’t afford to rent a car on our own.

I repeatedly called the dealership for updates and to complain to the manager, but was always connected to the salesperson that sold us the car. She always said they were doing their best and requested us to be more patient.

Saturday, the twenty-ninth of October she texted me the diagnosis was complete and was now in the warranty procedure.

We still don’t have any idea when the plan to fix the car or get a loaner for us.

I have said to them each time I have called that they should just refund our expenses and cancel the contract and they could keep the car! The loan officer at OBEE credit Union said that would be the best way to resolve our problem.

Is that true?

Also, they said to notify the Better Business Bureau and the news media!

Please advise me what we should do!

Thanks for listening.

Sincerely
