Worst dealership out there. I would strongly avoid. Terrible customer service!

Renfrew Chrysler Inc. is the worst dealership I've ever encountered. I strongly recommend steering clear of this place. Their customer service is absolutely terrible.

Started off ok but once I returned the lease they continue to harass you with phone calls, emails, and mailouts. I have explained nicely at least 4 times that I don't have the truck anymore, I am not interested in getting another vehicle from them, and asked to have my contact information removed from their system. So far that has not worked so I felt I should warn others so they do not have to experience the same harassment. Do not deal with this company unless you want to be bothered for the foreseeable future. "

Renfrew Chrysler Avoid this place!

Avoid this place! I've had several routine maintenance items at this service shop. In my latest experience, I asked for a peace of mind check because I hadn't been driving my vehicle very much over the pandemic and wanted to take it on a road trip. Prior to bringing it in, I'd had an oil change. What I didn't know ahead of time and the service shop failed to tell me is that the peace of mind included an oil change. So, maybe that's on me but this gets much worse. It's worth mentioning I had no dash lights indicating anything was wrong with my Jeep. A couple hours after I drop off my Jeep, I get a call from the Service Shop alleging I am in immediate need of $4,000 in repairs - that there was an issue with the steering pin? and an issue with an oil component?. I was a bit surprised that for such expensive repairs, I wouldn't notice anything wrong with my Jeep and no dash indicator lights had come on. So, I told them I would think on it. In the interim, I made arrangements to bring my vehicle to another repair shop for their opinion. Before I got a chance to pick up my Jeep, I got a call from Chrysler's Sales team - offering me above blue book value to take my Jeep because it was in such high demand. I chose not to respond to their voicemail. A couple days later, I picked up my vehicle to bring it to another Service Shop. Despite Renfrew Chrysler performing a completely unnecessary oil change - they spilled oil all under the hood which smelled awful for several weeks. Thanks, Renfrew. So, I take my Jeep to another Repair Shop. I explain the mechanic what Renfrew alleged was the problem. The mechanic couldn't find any of the issues described by Renfrew. The mechanic even called over another mechanic to check it out. No issues could be found. As a means to see how scrupulous Renfrew was, I decided to take my Jeep to a Repair Shop a couple weeks later to have it looked at again and no issues found. So, Renfrew alleged I needed $4000 in repairs which couldn't be verified by 2 other mechanics. Then, offered to give me above market value for my vehicle to take it off my hands. They performed an unnecessary oil change and did that sloppily, to put it nicely. Last, I called the Service Shop to report my experience. I was connected to the Service Manager who alleged he would look into this and get back to me. That was a month ago. Bottom line, avoid this place and spend your hard-earned money somewhere reputable and that you trust.

Renfrew Chrysler My 2021 **** GLADIATOR BURNED TO THE GROUND in ***

My 2021 *** GLADIATOR BURNED TO THE GROUND in ***.*** on August 23 after Renfrew Chrysler replaced a WIRING HARNESS and Gave me the Gladiator back on Friday August 6. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. I WILL NEVER BUY A FCA PRODUCT EVER AGAIN. IT TOOK 3 months to get Insurance to cover this LEMON. In Early 2021, I found an AD online that was advertising Used SUV's. I was looking for *** etc. I wanted a white used SUV to start a new Business with. I filled out the application, and on May 5, they pulled my Credit without my Consent. They didn't even email until May 7 to provide me with their "used inventory". They indicated they did not have any used vehicles from the Brands I was researching. However, they welcomed me to test drive used Wranglers and used Grand Cherokee's. May 17th was my initial visit to Renfrew Chrysler in person and test drove used vehicles and new Wranglers and the New 2021 Jeep Gladiator. After looking at Financing Options, I indicated I wanted a 2021 Diesel Jeep Gladiator. We found a White 2021 EcoDiesel Jeep Gladiator from a Different Dealership. 1) I was pressured into GAP Insurance which is a NIGHTMARE to DEAL with. The Finance Manager I Deal with *** claimed that when it comes to Vehicle Fires or Vehicle Theft, they noticed that Insurance Companies will not Honour Full Replacement Coverage. So if the vehicle caught on fire, *** would not cover the Full Vehicle Loan (How often does a vehicle catch on Fire). So I paid $2000.00 for GAP Insurance. 2) I was ok with a $1000.00 Deposit, then told that if I provided a larger down payment I would save money on an Extended Warranty. So I had the *** km warranty extended to *** (I drive *** km a week). In the end, I agreed to a $85,000 Finance, expecting to use the Vehicle for Business Advertising for *** years. Then I noticed when I got approved, Renfrew Chryslers pulled my credit again on May 25. 2 Credit Pulls? I was called on Friday, May 28th to pick up the Vehicle on Saturday, May 29th. INSTANTLY this process was off-putting. 1) When I got in the 2021 Jeep Gladiator, the check engine light was already on - I had to wait for Windishield washer fluid and Fuel? Why wasn't this checked? They dealership had time to put 2 "Tramp Stamps" on the Gladiator (Renfrew Logos), but didn't have time to put Diesel and Washer Fluid in the Gladiator? 2) I initially refused to take the vehicle they said it would take a few KM of driving for the Check Engine Light to turn off. 3) The check engine light did turn off within 20 minutes of driving on ***. 4) On June 11th, within 2 weeks! I had error messages on the Screen warning about the Loss of Cruise Control and a few other random error messages while on Glenmore Trail. I called my Sales rep who indicated that I needed to make sure the windshield was clean, as the sensors for Adaptive Cruise control are in the windshield. Alright, I will wash the Jeep. 5) I regained the Cruise Control after washing the Jeep, BUT still had a check engine light on. 6) I scheduled to take the 2021 Jeep Gladiator to the Dealer on June 16. I was told to wait 1 hour to get it back. This took ALL DAY. I was originally given the Gladiator back, and after getting into the Gladiator the Check Engine Light was Still ON! I reported this to My Service Advisor who reported that they would have to call FCA engineers to solve this problem. 7) I was asked if I needed a Rental Car, and I indicated I Needed a Rental Truck. Hours later, Enterprise brought me a 2020 Grand Caravan. 8) I was told to expect 2 weeks for a Repair, which would approximately be July 1. 9) After weeks of follow up with Renfrew Chrysler and FCA, (I Had to call them, the Dealer NOR FCA calls you to provide updates), I received a call from FCA stating parts are not AVAILABLE for 2020/2021 *** Wrangler or GLADIATORS due to part SHORTAGES. 10) So you can buy a new 2020/2021 WRANGLER or GLADIATOR but parts are NOT AVAILABLE? 11) FCA stated it is a MELTED WIRING HARNESS. This PART needs to be manufactured or the ASSEMBLY LINE needs to be shut down. 12) I received the *** back on Friday AUGUST 6th at 4PM (I had visited Renfrew Chrysler on Aug 2nd/3rd to confirm the parts were there. They told me 1 Day for Install, Yet it was not available till Friday August 6th End of Day. 13) I drove the GLADIATOR every day until Monday Aug 23rd when it BURST INTO FLAMES at 1:15 PM on ***. I have called the Dealership, I have Called FCA Corporate to complain. SILENCE FROM BOTH. I am out of Pocket over $8,000 CAD from this Dealership. Buyer Beware. I bought a car from Renfrew Chrysler Inc. and they done messed up the windshield when they was fixin' it. Now there's rust on the paint at the top of the windshield. The fixin' bill was a whole lotta money, way more than I expected.

Renfrew Chrysler I bought a used car from Renfrew Chrysler in downtown Calgary on June 25th

I bought a used car from Renfrew Chrysler in downtown Calgary on June 25th. Unfortunately, on July 30th, I received a warning message stating "steering assist failure." Worried, I took my car to the service center where they informed me that the cost of fixing it would be $3000, and there was no warranty coverage available. I tried calling the dealership, but they didn't provide any assistance or guidance. Given the financial difficulties I am facing due to COVID-19, I'm wondering if there is anything I can ask the dealership for help with.

Renfrew Chrysler I bought a car from Renfrew Chrysler Inc

I bought a car from Renfrew Chrysler Inc. I have a signed bill of sale and approved financing with a payment schedule. I was supposed to pick up the car today, but I was told last night that it was resold after I already bought it. I already sold my previous car, so now I don't have a car to drive. I can't find the same car with the same specifications or price at another dealer. Additionally, the dealer took a $2000 deposit from me and ran my credit to secure financing. This will negatively impact my credit rating. I really need help with this situation. Thank you.

Renfrew Chrysler I bought a Honda Civic from Renfrew and went back to get it cleaned up

I bought a Honda Civic from Renfrew and went back to get it cleaned up. I told the service guys that the brakes were making noise. They called me later and said the rotors and pads had to be changed because of something called Lot Rot. They said the car had been sitting on the lot for a while. The car only had less than seventy thousand kilometers on it. The salesperson said it was certified even though it needed a whole brake job. They said the brake problem was shown on the ***. So I took it to another garage and they fixed it for $714.00 on June 25th.

Renfrew Chrysler I went there 2 weeks ago to buy a new truck

I went there 2 weeks ago to buy a new truck. It was a really stressful experience and they literally took advantage of me. I gave them a down-payment for the truck, with the understanding that they would give me a certain amount for my trade-in. We agreed on this in person, but when I received the bill of sale, they had taken $3100 off the trade-in value. I tried to calmly ask them to fix it, but they got aggressive and said I was wrong. I was very clear about what I wanted for my trade-in, and if they couldn't meet it, then the deal couldn't go through. Now they won't give me back my down-payment. They have treated me so poorly, I can't even put it into words. I waited for 2 days for the finance manager to contact me, but of course, he didn't.

Renfrew Chrysler I bought a car from Renfrew Chrysler Inc

I bought a car from Renfrew Chrysler Inc. in December . When I arrived in town, the staff helped me with all the paperwork. They only gave me one key because I didn't have a credit history. They said they would keep the second key in case I couldn't afford the payments. In December , I paid off the car and in February , I contacted the office to get the second key. However, I've been having trouble getting it from them. They keep giving me excuses and saying they don't know where the key is. They did all the paperwork with T ***, so they should know where the key is. I just want the key that they owe me. If they can't find it, they should give me a new one for free. I waited eight years and never missed a payment. It's that simple, but they keep avoiding their responsibilities.

Renfrew Chrysler The sunroof in my new car got broke while I was drivin' on the highway

The sunroof in my new car got broke while I was drivin' on the highway. I paid to get it fixed, but it cost more than what they said on the phone. When I got my car back, the service guys messed up the shade cover and left a bunch of broken glass inside. I complained, but the service manager didn't care. I complained again, and this guy named *** who said he's a sales manager promised to fix everything. He even offered to pay for me and my partner to have dinner and to give me back the money I spent on gas for their loaner car. While they were cleanin' my car, they messed up the screen and had to replace it. It took two weeks for the part to come in. By then, I had been drivin' the loaner car for ten days and now I had to keep it for another two weeks. When I finally went to pick up my car, after bein' told many times that they would fix everything, I found that the service guys had messed up the inside of my car even more. But now *** won't answer my calls or emails. The last time we met, he got really mad when I asked about the money they owe me and said I was bein' unreasonable, even though all the damage was their fault. I'm still waitin' to get reimbursed like they promised.

Renfrew Chrysler I was talkin' back and forth with *** one of the pre owned sales reps at Renfrew *** for a few weeks tryin' to find the right truck for me

I was talkin' back and forth with *** one of the pre owned sales reps at Renfrew *** for a few weeks tryin' to find the right truck for me. We had negotiated a price for my car as a trade in - that price was $17,000. THIS WAS THE FIRST PROBLEM. I found a truck that I liked and the numbers all matched up, so I put a $500 deposit down for them to hold the truck till I could view it. A few days later I came down to the view the truck. They had advertised the truck has havin' a 5 star cleanin', a full mechanical inspection and all the typical protocols a dealership goes through. The truck was NOT clean the fuel filter WAS NOT replaced - despite it bein' written down in the inspection as needin' to be replaced. The truck was also told to be dent/scratch free - which it also was not. I was willin' to let these things slide provided they could be fixed or we could renegotiate numbers to compensate. They then brought me a new "deal" where they were only offerin' me $10,000 for my car. I argued back and forth for awhile before simply askin' for my deposit back. They told me no problem, I would see it in my account in 3 days or less. It is now Saturday, I do not have my money back, and NO ONE from the buisness is gettin' back to me. Upon readin' some of their reviews almost all of their 1 star ratings and complaints are about money issues, promisin' work/maintance and never honorin' it, lyin' about trade in values and vehical prices. This dealership has some serious problems, and I believe there is a lot more to the story that needs to be looked into.

Renfrew Chrysler I went to Renfrew Chrysler Inc

I went to Renfrew Chrysler Inc. to buy a Hyundai Elentra limited for $13888. The salesperson agreed to the price, so I was happy. The next day, I went to the finance manager to apply for a loan. He tried to give me a loan for $19500, even though I had already put $1000 down. I asked him why the loan amount was so high when the car price was only $13888. He said that the amount increased because of taxes and other fees. I calculated the tax amount on my phone, and it was only $700. He told me that we couldn't calculate bank fees with a phone calculator. He asked me to sign the papers quickly because it was already 6.30pm and the office was closing at 6.00pm because it was Friday. I trusted him and signed the papers. Later, I called *** auto finance to confirm everything. They said that the total should not be that much. They advised me to go to other dealerships to check what was wrong. When I checked with another dealership, I found out that they were going to add $4000 to $5000 to the loan. The next morning, I texted the salesperson that I didn't want to buy the car because the finance manager gave me the wrong information. I told them I would come at 2 o'clock to get my $1000 back. When I visited the finance manager with the salesperson, he reduced the price to $4000 and tried to force me to sign new documents. I told him that I couldn't trust him anymore and just wanted to cancel the deal. He said it was okay if I didn't want to buy it, but I wouldn't get any money back.

Renfrew Chrysler I factory ordered a Ram from Renfrew Chrysler Inc

I factory ordered a Ram from Renfrew Chrysler Inc. in December . I was gonna order from another dealership, but the sales manager talked me into buying from Renfrew 'cause they're the biggest dealer in town and can get me the van faster. I agreed and they said my van was on order. I called 'em after about a month 'cause I was expectin' emails with updates like I've seen before when I ordered from Chrysler. They said my van was bein' processed and they'd let me know when it was built. About 2 weeks ago, the salesperson called and said they had good news. He said my van was ready to transport and should be here in 1 to 2 months. He wanted to get the financing done right away. After goin' back and forth, they finally sent me a sales agreement and warned me that they added $4795.00 as a limited availability charge. This was on top of the increased cost of the van 'cause it was a 2023 instead of a 2022 due to the delay. I told 'em that this was my factory order and I took the risk of waitin' for months. I realized they could sell the van for more money 'cause of the shortage, and I risked losin' it if I didn't pay the $4995.00. A finance person called and said they could easily sell the van to someone else, so they were pickin' the financing rate and term for me. I told 'em I've never been told that before when buyin' new vehicles. But I felt like I had to follow their orders or risk losin' the van I ordered. I don't know when this will end if I keep goin' along with this dealership. None of this was talked about when I placed my order, and now after 8 months (so far), I'm bein' taken advantage of 'cause they know I don't have much recourse.

Renfrew Chrysler On August 8, I signed a deal to buy a new truck from Renfrew Chrysler Inc

On August 8, I signed a deal to buy a new truck from Renfrew Chrysler Inc. Today, I noticed that the warranty start date on the bill of sale was June 30, which means I've been cheated out of one month of warranty. Additionally, I haven't received any paperwork regarding the protection package that I paid for. The worst part is yet to come. I agreed to a certain price that included a tonneau cover, but a few days later, they informed me that the cover actually cost $600 more than what was initially offered, and I had to cover the increase. Reluctantly, I paid the extra amount because I really wanted the truck. Shortly after, they told me that I would have to wait several weeks for the cover, but they had a different style available (a 3-panel flip-up instead of the roll-up I wanted) and it would cost the same. They installed the alternate cover, but when I picked up the truck, I noticed a small part of the cover was broken. They had to order a new cover, which took a few weeks to arrive. However, when the new cover was installed, they incorrectly placed the rubber bumpers that prevent the cover from hitting itself when fully folded up. They put two on one side and none on the other. Eventually, I received a couple more bumpers, which was fortunate because the original ones flew off in a hand-spray car wash. Due to the increased price and having to settle for something different than what I wanted, I asked the salesperson if they could throw in a set of mats for the truck. A couple of days later, they informed me that they couldn't give them to me for free, but they would reduce the price. They only knocked $40 off a $222 set of mats, which wasn't much compared to the $600 I had to pay on top of the originally agreed-upon price. When I picked up the truck, they only had one key available, and no one knew where the second key was, so they had to order a new one. When I called a week later, nobody knew what I was talking about, and the salesperson was no longer working there. I called again after a week, and they said they would order the key. Finally, on October 7th, almost two months after purchasing the vehicle, I received the key. Now, here's the icing on the cake. In August, Renfrew ran an advertisement stating that they were offering a free 50" Samsung Smart TV with any new or pre-owned vehicle purchase for the month of August. They also mentioned a $200 referral bonus for anyone who forwarded the email and used the opportunity. Since I bought my vehicle in August and only found out about this offer when I received the email, I called and asked about "my" TV. They told me that I wasn't eligible for the offer because it only applied to the latter part of August, and I had picked up my truck in the first two weeks of the month. Nowhere in the ad does it mention the specific time in August; it simply says "month of August." This kind of advertising is not the most honest, and some might even call it dishonest. For many years, we have taken one of our vehicles to Renfrew for service, and we were quite satisfied with their service. However, that won't be the case with this new vehicle. I am now actively searching for an honest dealership. Now, on December 4th, I received an email stating that the protection package I paid for was not completed. They asked me to contact them so they can finish it.
