Booked in there for one night as on the website photos the place looked clean, modern and welcoming.

Never again.

When we arrived, only one serviceman was there who opened the gate and the owner was nowhere to be seen and unreachable by phone.

Left to their own devices, soon enough a rowdy party who was already staying there, gathered by the pool with plenty of strong drinks and their own loudspeaker, woofering endless oriental tunes at top volume so much so that our eardrums hurt.

Me and my buddy tried to speak to them, but some of the guys were too drunk and dazed already and started getting aggressive with us, so we had to leave things be. We didn't even dare call the police and we did not know any other hotels in the vicinity.

The music continued non stop all afternoon and all through the night. At around 3 or 4 am we thought the police had come as we heard new voices outside and the music was paused, but after a while when they were gone, the guests put the music back up as before.

We never got a wink of sleep that night. The wall shuddering music continued all through night and the next day, non stop.

The owner remained unreachable.

The rooms and beds themselves turned out to be littered with lizard droppings. In the corner of one bed we found a huge, dead cockroach. As big as my index finger.

The cockroach has been lying dead there for several days I guess, but not yet dried out as it blurted out white, smelly juice when my buddy stepped on it accidentally.

In the morning some of the drunkest earlier party guests were sneezing, blowing their noses, crocking and spitting multicoloured slime on the floor. In front of us!

I am thankful we kept out of their way as we did not expect to have paid top dollar for a prison inmate torture experience - intimidation and throbbing, near burst eardrums and not a wink of sleep.

But at least we kept out of the way of whatever infectious disease some of guests seemed to have.

What we learned is never go to a place where owners seem so desperate for money that they will lie on the website and take in anyone, civilised people and rabble from the streets alike, without any checks and supervision.

Ripoff and a health hazard.
