PLEASE READ: This is a very long, detailed review, but I have written it in full to expose a highly concerning pattern of behavior and to help save anyone else from falling into the same trap with this company. Please read before buying.
I ordered garden furniture on April 11th (Order #64661) and have had an appalling experience. Looking back, I deeply regret not reading the one-star reviews first. There is a deeply worrying pattern here regarding how this company manages non-deliveries and handles refunds.
Despite a delivery window starting May 4th, the company failed to deliver on three separate occasions. I was given every excuse imaginable—from van breakdowns to warehouse schedule changes. On every single occasion, I was the one who had to chase them for an update. They never followed up when they promised they would, even after reassuring me I was the "first drop" of the day.
When I finally reached my limit and formally cancelled the order, their tactics became incredibly concerning. Despite me paying securely through PayPal, they tried to demand my direct bank sort code and account number to process a refund—a massive red flag for anyone familiar with e-commerce. When called out on this, they claimed their "accounts department" would handle it via PayPal, promising a refund by Monday at 10:00 AM.
Unsurprisingly, they completely lacked the good faith to meet their own deadline, and the money has still not been returned.
I have remained polite and professional throughout, but after losing self-employed income waiting for deliveries that never arrived, I have been left with no choice but to escalate this to a formal PayPal dispute to recover my funds. Save yourself the stress, avoid this company, and read the one-star reviews before buying!
UPDATE AT 1144 MAY 18TH
The merchant phoned my mobile number, and I was subjected to an incredibly hostile phone call from two highly aggressive individuals named DAN and MATT (names that feature regularly in other one-star reviews for the exact same behavior). They attempted to bully and intimidate me, falsely claiming they would withhold my money for weeks unless I closed the PayPal dispute first. When i challenged this I was told that if I didnt receive the money from them, i could re open the dispute. This is a blatant attempt to manipulate consumers into giving up their buyer protection, because once you close a dispute you CANNOT re open it.
When i reminded them that I had given them a reasonable deadline to refund me, they told me "stuff doesn't revolve around you"(me).
After refusing to close my dispute Dan said " oh,do what you want" and he hung up the call.
I have refused to be intimidated, escalated this to a formal claim with PayPal, and will let their security team handle it. Avoid at all costs!
UPDATE MONDAY 18TH MAY
I have spoken directly with PAYPAL today. They reinforced their guidelines, explicitly stating that a buyer should NEVER close a dispute until a refund is safely received, and because the merchant is using active bullying tactics to circumvent PayPal's system and withhold my funds, they have made a log of my call and my concerns with this company. I have uploaded the full email log as evidence that no goods were ever received. I am refusing to close the dispute until a full refund is officially processed via PayPal, as per PayPal's guidelines.
FURTHER UPDATE MONDAY MAY 18TH AFTERNOON.
I've just received the below email from the company.
"Refund should of now reached your account, i have just seen your review please can we take ti down as your aware we are a small family business and a review like this affects us massively as business, i am very sorry about your experience".
Unsurprisingly, I have NOT received any refund
And again...FURTHER UPDATE (3:41 PM): They are now calling my personal mobile phone again. I am refusing to answer. I will not engage with them over the phone again. They are directly violating PayPal’s Seller Protection rules and their expected code of conduct for merchants, and bypassing the Official Resolution Channel.
And again...ANOTHER email at 1541..
"Hi Sharon,
I want to get this sorted for you right away, i just need the dispute canceled and then i refund you right away this is the quickest way to get this sorted and this can be done today?"
Lewis
And YET ANOTHER email at 1619
"Sharon,
I do apologise i am trying to get this sorted for you as quick as possible so i am very sorry
I can stay on the phone to you when you close the dispute and i will refund right away its up to you?"
lewis
It shows the merchant explicitly attempting to circumvent PayPal policy by conditioning my legal refund on me cancelling the dispute first. This is known as EXTORTION & COERCION
Recommendation: AVOID. IVE FULL EMAIL AND CALL LOGS AS EVIDENCE WHICH HAVE BEEN PROVIDED TO BOTH PAYPAL AND TRUSTPILOT
