On October 23, 2022, we checked into the local Ramada Inn, using a copy from an advertiser. The room was advertised at $59.99 a night. After some discussion about size of room we agreed to a room for that price. We did not ask for an upgrade of any kind but accepted their room assignment. We were told the computer was down and we could get a receipt in the morning, as we checked out. The next morning, they again told us the computer was down and gave us a piece of paper with the price of $68.97 written on it. I asked, 'is this the total with taxes?' and they said, 'yes it was the total.' When we got the billing from our credit card company, we were billed $80.30. We have called several times regarding this. We have talked to both the assistant manager and the manager/owner. He has been very unwilling to work with us. He refuses to give us the refund of the difference. The owner has been very belligerent and has his assistant speaking to us. We were with another couple, and we both have received the wrong billing. They have also called the hotel without any resolution. I am therefore, writing this complain as both couples would like a resolution. I believe from the way they have handled this complain that it is not an unusual occurrence for patrons to be overcharged. My email address is [protected]@hotmail.com.
