Quickbooks iTuit Online Accounting review: Accounting program

On 8 June 2022 we dowloaded quickbooks online as they where running specials and the program looked very nice.

Everything worked fine as we were in a 30 day trail period. We even had local people from South Africa phoning us for assistance.

The trail period kept on giving discounts. The one moment it was 50% and the other 70%. On 27th June 2022 I decided to take the offer as it was on 70% discount and they deducted R16 from my bank account. I thought this Amount was pro rated towards the MONTHLY fee discounted to R187 per month for 3 months and there after R520 per month for 9 months then after a 12 month cycle the Product becomes an annual premium of +/-R4900+VAT

Yesterday 8 July 2022 we regretfully received an email around 13:00 mentioning that our premium was not collected and our subscription was cancelled due to premium not collected.

After investigation I found that there was no debit order from our Bank account.

We tried contacting Quickbooks but could not find a number to speak to anyone. Online chat was the only available option. The person who helped us dropped the call and didnt answer all the questions and was rude. We where battling with this for quite some time and as mentioned no luck.

We stubled apon a number on the internet after hours of searching and phone it. Only to realize that we are speaking to people in America. The lady on the phone told us that our subscription was changed to annual from monthly which whe did not authorise or antisepate. She also told us that our special offer was no longer available and that we need to pay a annual subscription of +/-R4900+VAT otherwise we can not switch back to monthly subscription.

The lady also told us that the R16 deducted was not from them, but my bank account clearly states that the deduction was from Quickbooks Intuit. And the deduction was right after we took up the subscription online by entering our bank detail into their site. We where not quite sure for what it was as we where in our 30 day trail period.

What a scam from a well know Product Supplier. We are now without an Accounting program and need to make other arrangements.
