signed up for Q link a few weeks ago, after resolving an issue with my service address I was Assured that I would receive a new Sim card with the area code I live in (their site and advertisements in my area state they have numbers avail in the 530 area code) When I received the New card it was the SAME number and area code as the first (619 area code almost 500 Mi from my service address) - I was told after I activated the new sim card that they could change the incorrect 619 area code to my area. After I followed their instructions I called and was told that the numbers are assigned randomly and that the 619 Area is the ONLY area code they offer... So am I to believe that EVERY customer of Q link is the already severely congested 619 area code?
If this is the case they WHY was I told by 2 different people (as well as their advertisements and website) that 530 is available?
I cancelled and requested they release my name from their system as I would go somewhere else and that I would be filing a formal complaint with the FCC and consumer protection as well as Lifeline. They are pathetic and appear to Lie just to increase their bottom line. Please look into this.. Thanks
Country of complaint: United States
