On July 6,2023 my car overheated. I called PMC roadside assistance @ had my car towed to the dealership where I bought the car @ where I have maintenance done. They are a licensed repair facility. They determined that the waterpump had failed. They called PMC claims department for authorization to repair the car. They covered the claim but not for the full amount. I called several times to find out why the entire claim was not covered in full as I have no deductible. I was told that Ford charged too much for the parts. I am left with a $475. bill because they did not pay the entire claim. I was told they did not have to honor the claim at all because the car had overheated. I was told that since I am a valued customer They decided to cover it. I am no mechanic, but in my mind when a waterpump fails, the car will overheat. I held up my part of the contract by paying my monthly payments. Also when when my car overheated, I pulled off the road, had my car towed to a licensed repair facility, and had them to call for authorization to repair the car. I feel like I did everything that I should have done.
Country of complaint: United States
Desired outcome: Pay the entire claim, so that I am not responsible for any part of it
