Every franchise has the right to set pricing, usually within limits set by the corporation. Every store has different costs (rent, labor, fees and taxes) and must price their goods and services accordingly.
If you bother to read the fine print, you will see that advertisements always state that pricing is good only at participating locations. Your Food Lion ad tells you which stores participate. If you tried to use that ad at a Food Lion not listed, they would tell you, politely, to go pound sand.
They have a good gutter product, but their salespeople use high pressure sale tactics and their installers have quotas that encourage fast and shoddy work. If you don't watch over them, they will do the absolute minimum. They installed new gutters over rotten fascia boards on my house. Contracts include 10 feet of fascia repair, but they will not do it if you are not there to make them.
Professionals and the organizations they work for should not treat an adult like a child, whether they derserve it or not.
Can you be specific? Wamu has been servicing my mortgage for years and I have never had any issues dealing with them. I don't bank with them, but I recently had to go to a local branch to get an insurance check endorsed, and everyone was friendly and helpful.
I really would like to know more about your experience because I am thinking about going to them to refi my mortgage.
I sincerely hope your daughter does not get sick from this.
If the kid manager did not understand the gravity of the situation, that person has no business managing. I am sure corporate what be very interested in this situation. If not, I would take this (literally, if you still have the sandwich) to the local media. If they don't take the public's health seriously, then local pressure may change their mind.
