Agreed - a complaints board is not exactly an ideal place for "making friends". Too abusive and mundane.

Oh, and Eileen (er, "Principissa" or "norman bates" or whatever you are calling yourself when you read this) - try letting people get answers to their concerns instead of trolling 10 threads (at last count) trying to annoy people that actually HELP legitimate complaints. If you REALLY have a need to attack people to make yourself feel better, join a ###-fighting club or something. Leave the grown-up stuff to the grown-ups... ok?

"ezekiel" - this post looks like flame bait, and people took it. Congrats, but maybe next time you could try posting something more serious... like a legit complaint rather than fodder for the trolls. NEVER feed the trolls!

Not surprised... Eileen's up to her (or is it "it's"?) old tricks again.

Funny how I'm supposed to be your "lover" when she calls me a queer in PMs. Troll-power at its best. I'm sure my GF and my son would disagree with her assessment of me, but... I said my piece and now I stop feeding the troll. Let the ### starve.

Sadly, they are trying to "put more pieces out there" not for the good of art investment, but for their own pockets.

Galerie Concorde, among about a half-dozen similar "galleries" in Montreal are nothing more than an art "retailer's retailer". They will sell you a piece for at least 200% (often more) than what it's real value is under the guise that you're getting it for pennies on the dollar.

Their "gallery" is a locked-door facility, with "viewings on an invitation-only basis" - what that means is that they don't want the general public to see what is in reality a boiler-room facility who's goal is to sell as much art at super-inflated prices as possible.

I would know - about 10 years ago when I first moved to Montreal I had the pleasure of working for one of Concorde's competitors. That job lasted me 3 days - first 2 days were "training" in the investment pitch (which at the time seemed credible), and the third finding out what the real deal was with the pieces, and subsequent up-sells. The "certificates of authenticity" weren't worth the paper they are printed on, and are best used as bathroom tissue quite frankly. It literally made me physically ill.

Best advice for anyone reading this (and hopefully it's read before "investing" in art sold over a phone) - buy your pieces at a reputable gallery or auction house.

No, that's actually eileen (xsnoopyx) showing yet again how much of a # she really is, trying to prove her worth as the site's super-troll. I love how she cut/pasted *my* posts in a thread that she and her multiple personalities dominate - and posts them in a thread she has nothing to do with (as usual) - but that's par for the course.

Some people just have nothing better to do with what little pathetic lives they have than to drag everyone down with them. good luck with that, eileen.
"I really can't remember her name" - it'd be hard to, jefferson, considering she uses more than 40 of them now!

Oh god! A "complaint" so obviously posted as flame-bait and it sucked in the super-troll. Couldn't resist, could you Eileen?

Um - just for future reference: if you are going to be accusing people of being someone they aren't, maybe... just MAYBE... you might want to do it without using a dozen of your 40-plus personalities across 3-dozen threads?

Stupid is as stupid does.

If it's any consolation, NoThanks - Eileen's an equal-opportunity stalker.

Note to Eileen - I'm not interested either. I'm straight.
Wow - what a thread. As a web developer myself, the first "red flag" was 'doing custom web site design for as little as $199'... Not a single job, no matter how small, would get me in front of my computer for less than $500 - and that's not arrogance talking, it's over 20 years of experience that I pour into my work every day.

Five sales reps for each designer? HIT's business model is not only flawed, it is guaranteed to commit fraud. Again, based on experience, it takes a minimum of seven days, and an average of 21-30, WORKING FULL TIME HOURS, to design and implement ONE approved website project - especially one that boasts the "features" that are being bandied about.

No... there is not enough time in a day - even if you forego the time needed to sleep, eat, and use the crapper - to have one designer competently satisfy five simultaneous project requirements. It's impossible.

What is extremely disturbing is the fact that I am seeing these numbers tossed about ($500 to start a project, an additional $650, then upsell of whatever else) that result in a website that my 9-year-old could design that in no way conforms to even the most basic web standards and compliance. I checked out at least a dozen sites that were tagged as "designed by HIT" and am insulted as a development professional that these people at HIT are muddying up the waters for REAL website developers.

I'm going to be following this thread (and the others regarding HIT) - it will be interesting to see what comes of it. I am particularly interested in seeing what happens with this Ryan Nelson fellow and how he responds to pointed questions rather than cherry-picking (am I alone in my concern that he was so readily available to downplay everyone - until challenged to be more forthright in obvious flaws in HIT's practices?)...
