My fridge started doing this same thing over the weekend. I was somewhat hopeful after reading that this was a common and known issue and also hearing that Maytag/whirlpool would still cover the parts. However that appears to no longer be the case I made zero headway with then regardless of the supporting evidence to the issue and even working my way up through a manager they refused to cover the parts. At one point I was told that I am not a certified technician so therefore I am not qualified to say for sure that the HV control board is even bad..have they read the massive amount of info on this?I will try to repair myself using the detailed instructions I found on the web and hope that works because spending $225.79 + tax+ shipping is money I just don't have right now.
