I tried David James twice on Lifereader. He is described as "blunt and direct." Rude and paranoid would probably be more accurate. Lifereader says all chat readings come with three free minutes, but he basically told me that I'm "not going to get free information" and made me wait until the timer started. This was the second reading I had done with him; the first time around, we had talked for much longer than three minutes, so he had no reason to think I was trying to cheat him. I don't know why I went on with the reading; I should have just ended the chat right then and there for his unprofessional attitude. As to psychic talent ... I don't know yet. He predicted I would meet a great guy before the end of spring. It hasn't happened yet, but I still have a month to go. If I remember to, I will post an update.

By going to psychics, I learned 2 important things:
1. Psychic abilities do exist.
2. Psychics provide an (ultimately) useless service.

There is no contradiction above. People usually go to psychics to gain certainty about the future. YOU CAN NOT RELY ON PSYCHICS FOR CERTAINTY. Even the best can and do make mistakes. Some may pick up elements of truth but get other things wrong. If you consult one psychic, you can’t be absolutely sure you got one that truly connected with you. If you consult multiple psychics, you can’t be sure which one was right. Unless of course a prediction comes true and then how can you be sure it wasn’t just an educated guess? You must remember that psychics get consulted by hundreds to thousands of people in the same situation. Most circumstances just aren’t that unique. Also what if other details in the reading are wrong? Not much of a confidence boost, huh?

To make matters worse, genuine psychics can tell lies. They may fear getting a bad rating if they tell you a harsh truth. Or they might pick up something about you that they don’t approve of and lie to you out of malice.

If you are in a desperate emotional state, it’s better to find a good therapist. If you do get a reading and are told what you want to hear, that will bring relief and joy, but it won’t last if real life events don’t confirm the psychic’s words. Sooner or later, another psychic is going to tell you exactly what you don’t want to hear and then you may find yourself hurting again and looking for another psychic to tell you positive thing - and so will start a vicious cycle that may leave your pockets empty and your heart as raw as ever. Be careful!

Live in the present, don't procrastinate on things that need to be done, and watch the future unfold. Don't waste your time waiting to see if a prediction comes true or not. If you are in a desperate emotional state, get a good therapist.

Why spend your hard-earned money when you can never be sure if the psychic is real or just a really skilled guesser? You have to understand that these people see hundreds to thousands of customers in the same or similar situations. After a while, it gets fairly easy to make an educated guess (prediction). I'm not saying that there are no real psychics, but how can you tell the real ones from the fakes with absolute certainty? Isn't gaining certainty the point of going to a psychic?

Back with my update ... David James' prediction for me did NOT come true. Not surprised since the description he gave me for the guy I was supposed to meet was a laundry list he seems to use again and again. "About my age, taller than me, dark hair, fair skin, stable job." When I looked over DJ's Liveperson reviews, I spotted this very same description in another customer's comment. Seriously. *eye roll* But what to expect from an internet "psychic?" Waste of money and time. If only he had at least made me feel good, but his "blunt and direct" [insert second eyeroll] attitude caused him to fail at that as well.
