Michelle,
You're wrong when you say that your goal is customer service. I called the customer service line and was treated worse than I have ever been treated before. I was lied to, and told that the studio where my husband and I had our pictures taken had changed over to digital from film, yet when I called and spoke with a district manager, I was told that that particular studio wasn't changing until February of 2008.
If you cancelled your contract with them, they CAN and WILL charge you for early termination fees.
First of all, I don't understand why ANYONE would go to a Jiffy Lube.
Would you rather get a "cheap" oil change done, with a horrible experience, and even worse customer service, or pay a couple dollars more, and go to a privately owned auto repair shop and get great customer service and great quality of work?
I'm an auto repair shop owner, and I hear complaints about Jiffy Lube, almost daily. They intimidate people into believing that they need hundreds of dollars of work done, and get upset when the customers decline. Jiffy Lube hires any Joe Blow that walks in off of the street, even if they lack experience. Do you want some high school senior working on your car?
Stop being such money pincher's, pay a couple extra dollars, and receive quality service by finding an auto repair shop in your area that you can trust.
They do not necessarily need the information on the back of your card. Those numbers on the back of the card are used for security reasons. Also, they can use 000 as a default number, and allow the transaction to go through.
Always remember the rule:
If it sounds too good to be true, then it IS too good to be true.
There is nothing you can do about this. ALL companies, and you may not even realize it, but sometimes some stores even do it when you go to them in person, authorize your credit or debit card before allowing the transaction to actually be processed and the money be charged, or removed from your bank account. It's for YOUR safety. So I suggest you stop whining and trying to get something for nothing, and find something better to do with your time.
