It is 12:17am on a late Wednesday night. For two nights in a row, the Path train has had delays. Tonight I stood on the overcrowded 33rd street platform for 30 minutes and watched the expected arrival time get pushed back further and further. There’s an announcement about signal problems at Journal Square. There were also 3 mentally ill individuals pacing back and forth, mumbling to themselves and laughing randomly. I then decide to take a Lyft home to Jersey City. Car gets 10 blocks from Lincoln tunnel and now we’ve been sitting in traffic for 20 minutes. We’ve moved a half block in 20 minutes. It is impossible to trust any form of transportation in this city at any point of the day or night. This is all clearly intentional and yet they want to nickel and dime commuters even more. Why close Holland tunnel then only leave one lane of the Lincoln open? Why is there zero oversight and regulation? I will continue to work from home since these systems and companies are inept.

Country of complaint: United States

Claimed loss: Time and money. Wasted $3 on a train I didn’t take and now wasting time in a Lyft in addition to the money the driver is losing by sitting here in traffic.

Desired outcome: Stop the manufactured traffic and congestion especially at midnight on a weeknight
