PHH Mortgage; Ocwen Loan Servicing review: Failure to provide account information after twelve requests in writing

My name is Deborah Solis. I am a Private Investigator in Fort Worth, Texas. I was retained by James Scott to assist him recover $18,000.00 on deposit with the Texas Unclaimed Property Division. This $18,000.00 was a claim payment for a homeowner's claim made by Mr. Scott. Mr. Scott's homeowner's insurance company, USAA issued payment to James Scott and Ocwen Loan Servicing.

I have submitted twelve (12) requests to PHH Mortgage at [protected]@mortgagefamily.com and to their Escalations Division at [protected]@mortgagefamily.com. I have received an email acknowledgment for each email I submitted.

I requested that PHH Mortgage provide me with a Letter Waiving any Interest in the above referenced money. The basis for this request is simple, Ocwen no longer services the property for which this claim payment was made. Moreover, my client sold this property years ago.

I have provided PHH Mortgage f/k/a Ocwen, with the following information:
Name of Homeowner: James Scott
Service Property: 1847 30th Street, Allegan, Michigan
Account No.: [protected]
I also provided PHH with an Authorization signed by Mr. Scott directing them to release this information to me.

I was able to confirm the service address and account number from USAA. Kay in their Escalations Div. did locate this account twice, however, PHH has sent me several emails stating that they cannot locate this account. It is my position that PHH is intentionally misrepresenting that they cannot locate this account because Kay in their Escalations Division did locate this account and confirmed the address and account number I provided as correct.
