Petro Canada - carwash damaged my car

We are having an absolutely horrible time with one of your franchises and your customer service. My 81 year old mother was in town visiting, needed a car wash and asked my husband to bring her car to Petrocan to get it washed (my dad recently passed and she had never done car wash on her own). He went in with a perfect car and came out with a side mirror ripped off. He immediately went into the franchise to show them and the clerk signed the receipt, witnessed the damage and told us to contact the manger Patrick Turcot. This is the Petro Canada in Chateauguay, Quebec on St Jean Baptiste blvd. This occurred on March 9 2019. Since then, we have had a run around by both Petro Canada customer service and the franchise. Both customer service and the franchise have receive the photos we took immediately after the incident, as my elderly mother had to return home the next day, with much trepidation, as she is missing a side mirror. The customer service center (which I have called 6 times) keeps saying the case has been resolved. Absolutely not the case! They have tried to say the car was damaged before it went in the car wash, which is a blatant lie, as her mechanic will attest to, and that it has all been resolved. They also said they saw the car on tape and it was a black car that was in bad shape. My mothers car is beige and is pristine. The manager, who also has the photos, is telling us to take it up with our insurance company. Why should we put in a claim when this is something that happened due to your negligence? We are so fed up with Petro Canada and the run around we are getting. We want the mirror replaced at no cost to us. Seems like a fairly simple solution, however your company is making this into a much bigger deal than it needs to be. I have resisted the urge to go all over social media to blast Petro Canada, but I am seriously running out of patience. This is an elderly lady who, through no fault of her own, has had her car damaged. Petro Canada needs to step up and do the right thing. Looking forward to a response.
