Have you been contacted by someone claiming they can locate your lost pet for a fee? Most likely, it a scam designed to take advantage of people that have lost a pet. When I lost my cat, Pet Finders Alert contacted me and claimed they would help. All they did was take my money. After searching the Internet I discovered the account had been suspended and I found many others who were taken in as well. In fact, if you run a search on this scam you will discover many articles and reports on this fraudulent company. There are many reports concerning this activity on the Internet, television and radio. Here are two links to stories about this scam:

Pet Finders Alert, and other similar names are actually operated by a criminal named Gary B. Hack. Hack uses several Ids such as Amber Alert, Pet Alert, Pet Finders, and others.

Hack scans newspapers, Craigslist ads, and other Internet sites, searching ads for lost pets. He then telephones a target with a sympathetic pitch, offering to locate the victims pet starting at $59.99 and much more. Hack operates the scam from his home at 2120 Bliss Corner Street in Henderson, Na.

Once Gary Hack cons the target he gets a credit card/debit card number and hits the card. That's the last time the victim ever hears from Pet Finders Alert. No one is actually called.
This so called service is not a real business or service. There is no licensed business with this name. It is a con-job - scam that targets innocent desperate and distraught people that have lost pets. As a direct result of Hacks criminal actions family pets to be put to sleep. Gary Hack operates this con-job across the USA.

It appears Hack has operated one version or another of this type scam for the last several years under various names and titles. When things heat up, he comes up with another alias for his con job. Although his real name is not widely known, he is considered well known criminal in the pet community. Hacks victims are often the elderly and children. This scam actually prevents the owner from reuniting with the lost pet because the victim believes Pet Finders Alert is on the job doing what they promised. Lost family pets are put to sleep or never located due to the despicable actions of Hack.

I am continuing my efforts to expose this operation and hope to bring this individual to justice. He’s making a lot of money by intentionally harming the innocent and distraught pet owners across the country. Perhaps you can help. Let’s start by shutting down his ability to get money through credit/debit cards. Let’s bring this creep to justice and prevent him from killing any more lost pets.

If you have been telephoned or bilked by the Pet Finders Alert/Gary B. Hack con please contact me through email or telephone.
