Staffs are unprofessional. After doing the first x-ray, I was told to do the second and third one and was only told the Xray was not clear without any further explanation. They charge rm80 when market rate is rm50. Please ask them the reason why they need to do second xray or any additional xray if you are being ask to you do to avoid being exposed to uneccesary radiation which is a health hazard and to avoid being rip off. Check the prices first before you do any xray

This X-Ray specialist Center is a RIP-OFF. Especially for Australia and NZ migrants. I went there in 1988, and they told me there is something wrong with my scan. made me do it again and charged me 2x. Then when I checked with many of my friends over the years who had gone there, they are doing the same thing. Disgusting way to cheat people to make dirty money. I will never ever go there again and will tell all my friends to avoid that place.

I worked for Penang X-ray Specialist Clinic as a nurse for 5 years until I resigned one years ago to have a baby. Dr Tan Khek Mow is always very kind to his patients and give discounts to his poorer patient whenever they so request. He also treats his staffs very well and most of them work for him for many years. He is very popular with his patients, young and old and I should know because many of them are grateful and told me so. . His charges are in fact quite cheap compared to other specialists in Penang. I know he is too nice, dignified and perhaps too busy for those unsubstantiated complaints which he may not even be aware. But I for one, is very upset by these nasty and untrue statements.

Two weeks ago, I was recommended by a doctor friend to have x-ray examination and scan in Penang x-ray specialist clinic . The clinic was packed full of patients. Yet I was quickly registered by a smiing receptionist and told of the charge of the examination. The x-ray took about 10 min. and I was then scanned by the doctor himself, chaperoned by a female nurse. The doctor was most pleasant, courteous and gentle during the scan which was finished in 15 minutes. I was given the xray and scan to go back to see my doctor after a short wait. The whole thing was over in 45min. The fee was very reasonable too as compared with those charged by private hospitals. The whole experience is such a contrast to what I read here. Now I understand why the clinic and doctor are so popular. So do not believe everything you read unless you have the actual experience.

Complaints about Dr Tan are untrue. As a doctor who had been examined by him I knew the reason why he checked the lower abdomen ln.a standing
position was to make sure there was no hernia as any doctodr would tell you.A female nurse was present holding a sheet to cover the prevate part which could not be seen from his position. His examination was thorough as required by country like Australia. His charges was reasonable when compared with other panel doctors. The staffs were efficient and let you know the fees befofe hand. Please do not make unsubstantiated complaint as it is most unfair to the good doctor

Anyone who is in Penang Malaysia - please be warned of this terrible doctor who violated modesty of patients. The medical check up for Australia migration does not require the private parts of people to be checked but Dr Tan Khek Mow violated modesty by looking at private parts, by opening up underwear!
