Peak Properties Peak Properties scammed us big time

Peak Properties scammed us big time. We forked over a hefty amount for the deposit and first month's rent, only to be left high and dry. They disappeared into thin air and never bothered to give us a refund. Can you believe it? To top it off, they even had the audacity to provide us with a phony lease agreement and receipts. Talk about deception!

Due to COVID-19 we are being asked to work from home and cut social interactions. Despite this, Peak properties is still sending crews of construction workers into our apartment building. They are renovating the entire building which means multiple drills running all day long, next door, above, and below my unit. How are we supposed to work from home with this noise? How are supposed to have virtual meetings from home when we can't even hear the other party over the noise? This is an extremely insensitive response to a global crisis.

Our experience with Peak Properties moving in has been very unpleasant. We moved into the property and the stairwell and backyard were a complete mess. When reaching out the the property manager, we were met with hostility and disregard. This has been the consistent tone of Peak Properties and their management. If we have any sort of question or concern, we are ignored and spoken to condescendingly. We have spoken with other residents in the building and they have had the same experience as us. I am not looking forward to spending a full lease here and I hope that Peak takes this seriously. We have some maintenance requests that we plan to put in, but given the trend, I am not sure that we will get what we need. We are feeling cornered and that we might have to take additional measures just for basic tenant needs.

Peak Properties Peak Properties is the absolute worst place to rent from

Peak Properties is the absolute worst place to rent from. The apartments are like, super outdated and stuff. They got bugs and all sorts of horrible management problems. The pipes are always bursting, and they just shut off the water whenever they feel like it. And get this, they can't even send someone to fix the little problems. Seriously, stay away from this place!

Peak Properties came in my apartment a day before my lease ended and threw away all my stuff and painted the walls. I found most of my items in the dumpster ruined or broken, but some of it was missing completely. Don't rent with them if you want your personal property and dignity to be respected.

There's been some good changes to the building since Peak Properties took over, but I can't really recommend them overall. I've been dealing with a maintenance problem for over a year and they haven't been able to fix it. Before this company took over, I was happy with how quickly maintenance issues were addressed and how clean the building was. Now, it seems like they don't really care about the tenants. I'll definitely avoid renting from Peak Properties in the future.

Peak Properties Due to COVID-19, we gotta stay home and avoid hangouts

Due to COVID-19, we gotta stay home and avoid hangouts. But guess what? Peak Properties ain't getting the memo! They're sending a bunch of construction dudes to our apartment building. They're tearing the whole place apart, which means drills going non-stop, all day long. And get this, they're drilling next door, above, and below my crib. How the heck am I supposed to work from home with all this racket? And don't even get me started on virtual meetings. Can't hear a dang thing with all this noise! It's like they don't give a crap about the global crisis we're in. So not cool, man.

I applied for an apartment and first of all, the application fee is $79.00 and you can't finish your submission unless you give a $350.00 deposit. I was really hesitant to submit, but I needed to move. The agent told me most likely I would get approved. A week went by and I had to contact the agent for an update. He didn't know. Every day for another week, I had to contact them. They should've been following up with me. I asked to cancel my application and get my deposit refunded three days ago. They do bad business and I'm glad this happened and I didn't rent from them. I hope they give me my money back.

Peak Properties Peak Properties took over my apartment building in the Spring of 2020 after I had been living there for almost 5 years

Peak Properties took over my apartment building in the Spring of 2020 after I had been living there for almost 5 years. It wasn't anything fancy, but it was my home and I felt comfortable and happy. But then Peak Properties came along... they moved me into a different unit that had roaches. It took 4 visits from exterminators to finally get rid of the problem. They don't believe in monthly spraying to prevent roaches because it costs too much money. Instead, they wait until a tenant complains and then call the exterminator to spray, but by then the roaches have already moved to the adjacent apartments! They are definitely the worst property management company/landlords I've ever had! On top of that, my rent went up by $250 per month. They also don't clean the common areas, and we've been dealing with an unhealthy and unsanitary pigeon droppings problem for months, which they still haven't addressed or fixed! One day my heat doesn't work and I'm freezing, and the next day my air conditioning is on and I wake up soaked because it's 90 degrees in my apartment. I'm not exaggerating, but since last July, I've submitted over 25 maintenance tickets/requests, and most of them have never been followed up on. I strongly advise against renting at one of their buildings! I absolutely hate living here, and it no longer feels like home. I'm leaving as soon as possible!

Peak Properties I gotta talk about this complaint I got 'bout PEAK PROPERTIES

I gotta talk about this complaint I got 'bout PEAK PROPERTIES. I live at *** and these guys took over our building right before the pandemic in March . They changed it from condos to rentals. Let me tell ya, they're one of the worst property management companies out there. Just check out them Google reviews, they speak for themselves. Living here has been a real drag, especially during the pandemic when I gotta work from home. There's constant construction noise that starts as early as 6:30AM on a Saturday morning. I had to call 911 this weekend 'cause it was so bad. And get this, they sent workers to change my blinds without even telling me! These dudes were just hangin' around in the background while I was on an important conference call with a client. Talk about distracting! The elevators are always broken too. I got videos of 'em stoppin' on every floor, sometimes all the way up to 36! They even got rid of our door men, and guess what? My packages got stolen twice during Christmas. Can you believe it? They really tricked me into renewin' my lease 70+ days before it was supposed to end, and on top of that, they raised my rent during the pandemic. Meanwhile, other buildings are offerin' 2 months free rent and other perks. Let me tell ya, PEAK PROPERTIES has been real shady and disappointing in how they're runnin' things here.

After living here for almost a month, on our first day of moving into our apartment, we found multiple rodent droppings in the kitchen area and bedrooms. We called multiple times to get someone to handle this issue that should've been taken care of before move-in. In the weeks since, we still don't have a working laundry system. The washer was broken before we moved in, and the microwave doesn't turn on. We told management about these issues, but nothing has been done. The assistant property manager promised us a credit for the internet wiring fee, but when we followed up, they ignored us. It hasn't even been a month, and I will never rent from this company again. The level of incompetence in just a few weeks is sickening. I can't imagine what will happen for the rest of the lease. This company deserves all the one-star reviews they have. They are impossible to communicate with and unprofessional.

Peak Properties Be aware wen u sign with Peak that they dont care bout ur health n safety

Be aware wen u sign with Peak that they dont care bout ur health n safety. Im currently sittin in my bedroom with the door shut n sealed while 3-5 electrical workers with either no masks or improperly worn n ill-fitted neck gators r walkin throughout my apartment n drillin my wall. In a normal year, the intense level of noise sustained for a full week would be irritatin, but in the midst of a pandemic, this kind of intrusion into our privacy with little regard for our safety is infuriatin. I wanna emphasize how little info bout this we were given. We were told, via email, that electrical upgrades would take place in order to install new panels in our livin room (which later turned out to be the wrong location for their work to take place). Our responses askin for more info-namely what time the workers would come, how long they would be here, n whether they could follow basic covid guidelines like wearin well-fitted masks-went unanswered by our buildin manager. We called her, n we were told we could ask the technicians ourselves. Today we got a surprise knock on our door, n while we were still gettin our masks out, they unlocked our door n entered our apartment. We were only then told that they will need well over 2 hours to complete their work. Presumably, these workers have entered a minimum of 9 apartment units in a little over a week before enterin ours; if any of these units were exposed to covid or any of these workers were exposed to covid outside of their day jobs, then we will quite likely contract this disease. As we havent seen friends or family for over a year, to be so exposed now without our consent angers me beyond words. And all for an update that our management has not tried to frame as urgent in any way.

Peak Properties Peak Properties, also known as Peak Realty, is a rental management company that seems to have some issues when it comes to treating everyone

Peak Properties, also known as Peak Realty, is a rental management company that seems to have some issues when it comes to treating everyone fairly. I had an experience with them recently that left me feeling frustrated and discriminated against.

I was in the market for a new apartment and wanted to get a head start on my search. I was specifically looking for a 1+ bedroom apartment with a den or second bedroom that I could use as a home office. As someone who works remotely and leads a sales development team in the Cancer Informatics/Machine Learning field, having a dedicated workspace is important to me. I also wanted to stay in my current neighborhood, which is ***.

I decided to use Zillow to help me find potential apartments, and I came across a 2 bedroom unit with an in-unit washer and dryer that was available starting June 1st. It seemed like the perfect fit, so I reached out to Peak Properties to schedule a tour.

On the day of the tour, I met with an agent named *** Stumped. She showed me the apartment, which was still occupied at the time. It was on the first floor, had a den with good natural light, and met all of my requirements. I was interested and wanted to learn more about the application process, but *** didn't provide me with any information or ask for my thoughts on the rental. She simply sent me on my way.

This kind of treatment is unfortunately not new to me. I've been turned away and shown subpar units by other agents in the past, simply because of the color of my skin. It's disheartening to experience this kind of discrimination in 2020. I remember one agency telling me they could show me a place right away, but when they saw me in person, they suddenly had a meeting to attend and asked me to leave my contact information for a possible viewing in the future.

But back to Peak Properties. The real kicker is that they asked me to pay $350 plus $79 and some other fee just to consider my application, even though it seems like they never had any intention of approving it. I have a great income, credit, references, and rental history, but none of that seemed to matter to them. They took my money and left me feeling ripped off.

Overall, my experience with Peak Properties was extremely disappointing. It's disheartening to see that discrimination still exists in the rental market, and it's frustrating to be treated unfairly by a company that should be providing equal opportunities to all potential tenants.

Peak Properties is saying that I rented a place in Chicago, IL last year, but I've been living in Hawaii since 2012. They're trying to get me to pay rent and late fees, and they've sent my account, number 4412812, to Fair Collections and Outsourcing, Inc. This might mess up my credit. I've talked to Peak Properties two times already, but they just don't trust what I'm saying.

Peak Properties We applied for an apartment without seeing it first on the Peak Properties website on June 15th

We applied for an apartment without seeing it first on the Peak Properties website on June 15th. We needed the apartment by July 1st. Peak didn't communicate with us, so we had to contact them a week later. They said our applications were fraud and the unit was already rented. They offered us another apartment, but they made us go through too many hoops. They wanted more documents for *** and didn't clearly explain the requirements, deadlines, and chances of approval for a co-signer. So, on June 27th, we asked for a refund. They said they submitted it that day, but after a week of no refund or contact, they said they would send a check in the mail on July 7th. I asked for tracking because they held our money for too long. They said their company doesn't do that. It's been almost a month since we requested the refund, and we still don't have our money back. They were really predatory, unhelpful, and combative when we asked for refunds and explained our side. Also, their request for *** documentation seemed to go beyond what *** law allows.

Peak Properties In April 2022, I applied for an apartment at Peak Properties

In April 2022, I applied for an apartment at Peak Properties. The whole process was kinda complicated, you know? They asked for a $79 fee that you can't get back and a $350 deposit, which they said they'd give back if they didn't give you the apartment. Well, turns out they didn't give it to me because my cosigner didn't make enough money. They said if I didn't have another cosigner, I couldn't get the place. So, I decided to cancel my application.

On April 12th, they contacted me to confirm my address for the refund check of $350. I left town to visit my family and came back on April 26th, expecting to find the check in my mailbox. But guess what? Nothing was there. I called them up, and they said they sent it on the 22nd, but they told me not to worry 'cause the mail is slow, you know how it is.

I contacted them again on May 2nd 'cause the check still hadn't arrived. I also told them that I wouldn't be at my current address anymore 'cause my lease was up. I gave them my new address in *** where I was gonna stay. Today is May 12th, and guess what? I still haven't received my refund check that I was supposed to get a month ago, according to their rules. I did tell them that I was gonna complain to the ComplaintsBoard.com, you know, 'cause this is just not cool.
