I heard a cash for Junkers on the radio so I went to their website and there it is cash for Junkers $3500.00. I called and asked if that was just on new purchases or all inventory. They said.all inventory so I said ok. Went bank online to view used cars. Did not find anything I was interested in for $10, 000.00. After a couple of days called back and the woman that answered (Mary), I asked do we have to buy from them, she said no we will write you a check. So the next day after speaking to my mom I called and made an appointment for Saturday morning with Shawn. Well on my way I called and Shawn wasn't in. My dad which is another car called and asked if I have a junker is that a credit for there or can we get a check. They said in house credit. We arrived and they seem to cant find Shawn. My mom comes in and after arguing with her the said they will buy the car for appraisal she said hell no and asked if they thought they were getting a young girl in there and get her to buy from them which they were still trying to get my mom to look at their cars. They said they were sorry for the misunderstanding. Don't buy from this place ever. I have a 1 month old son that I had to load into my car and drive about 40 minutes one way to find out they are deceiving with an ad and by phone.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

The Cash for Clunkers program is for a $3500 credit towards the purchase of a new or certified pre-owned vehicle. I am sorry if you misinterpreted the Ad. I understand you, your mother, and father called in and spoke to our staff prior to arriving in our showroom. If you have three people calling and asking different questions, you will get different answers. For example, Mary spoke to your mother and she asked if we would cut a check for the $3500 for your vehicle, and Mary stated it only applies as a credit if you trade in towards a new or certified pre-owned vehicle, we do not "cut a check". Then your mother asked, what if the vehicle is worth $4500. Thats when Mary did say that we would cut you a check for the $ 4, 500 because at that point you were no longer using the Cash for Clunkers program, it would be the same as the appraised value, as if you were just selling your vehicle to us. I am the Manager that came and spoke with your family while yall were here, and the reason we could not give you the cash for clunkers program is you stated you only wanted Honda or Toyota, and we did not have any in stock, nor do we Certify those vehicles and they would not qualify. We were and are more than willing to give you the appraised value of your vehicle and make you a great deal on a vehicle, but a Honda or Toyota does not qualify for Cash for Clunkers. I apologize that there was a miscommication and we would never try and take advantage of anyone as you are saying, as Parkway Chevrolet is a family owned and operated business and that is not how we do business.
