With a large selection of titles, Online Book Club can satisfy any reader, but then they pay you to read! How awesome is that? I have enjoyed all but one of the books I have reviewed. When I don't like a book, I get to say so.
They are very amazing and very as of explaining everthing .

Getting paid to read?
Getting paid to read? Of course! I love to read, and I love the way that Online Book Club takes care of their customers. They have introduced me to new books and authors that I may not have discovered before joining. I love this group!
They are very thorough with explaining everything. So far so good.
Online book club has given very thorough and easy to follow guidelines on what and how to review different books. I enjoy how they want the reviewer to give an honest opinion about the book.
OMG I just posted a bad review, and I was completely WRONG. I don't know how to take my review off BBB, so I am reposting a good review. I apologize sincerely to OnlineBookClub.org. for any distress I caused. Here's the review I posted: Valerie Gee on 12/09/2022 I gave it one star. I won't paste the entire thing...but here's how it started... "I paid $98 for someone to review my book Shallow Death. Then I kept getting harassing emails to say I had not paid..." IN FACT, ONLINEBOOKCLUB.ORG is an amazing organization. I got a review. They did a GREAT job. The reason I got it wrong, was that I resubmitted a second time (because I was confused about the process), and then I got emails that I hadn't paid. I got worried, and mad that they thought I hadn't paid...because I had paid for my first submission. ANYHOW, I am so sorry Scott for any upset I caused you. It must have felt terrible when you read my review. If there is anything I can do to make it okay...please let me know.

OBC is a pleasure to work with!
OBC is a pleasure to work with! My reviewer was prompt, professional, and insightful. Her approach in taking my work at face value, instead of the more typical "pigeon-holing" by others, was refreshing and appreciated. I will undoubtedly trust them as an asset in future projects!
As a reviewer, I get to select the books I am interested in reading and get paid for doing so
As a reviewer, I get to select the books I am interested in reading and get paid for doing so. There is no pressure to read more than I want to. Everything is entirely self-paced, and it has been a joy since day one. I have been with the organization for two years and have never regretted it.
Omg ! When I tell you I love this Website, I really do
Omg ! When I tell you I love this Website, I really do. There are so much GOOD books to read and it’s very interesting. Only if BBB was a Library in person I would Definitely Check it out. I can’t believe this. ? Wow. I’m so happy right now to write this review because they deserve it. They deserve a Good 5 star ?.

For me, OnlineBookClub.org is an amazing and positive hobby that I have recently added to my life. They have a wonderful selection of new books that I can add to my personal collection at home. The club provides numerous opportunities for members to get involved and share their opinions with other readers and authors. Your opinion truly matters and is highly valued.
I initially found Online Book Club a bit challenging to navigate, but with perseverance, it becomes easier
I initially found Online Book Club a bit challenging to navigate, but with perseverance, it becomes easier. Scott H has developed a website that compensates members for their reviews and assists authors in obtaining reviews. I am completely content with this platform. It allows me to access and read an extensive collection of books without any cost, and I am able to provide professional reviews following the provided guidelines. By adhering to the outline, one can receive payment for their efforts.

I enjoy the Online Book Club because I am exposed to books I might otherwise have never seen
I enjoy the Online Book Club because I am exposed to books I might otherwise have never seen. While all the books are ones I want to read, there is a great selection, and I've discovered many excellent books and authors. One thing I like about this program is the way reviews are written. Because of Scott Hughes' reviewer guidelines, the reviews are more in-depth and far better than just an Amazon blurb. As a reviewer for Online Book Club, I have honed my skills because of the editorial guidance I've received, and I'm promptly paid for each review I write. I recommend OBC to anyone who loves to read or who is interested in writing reviews.

OnlineBookClub.org: A Hidden Gem for Authors Looking to Promote Their Work
But then I stumbled upon OnlineBookClub.org and boy, was I pleasantly surprised! This site is a hidden gem for authors looking to promote their work.
The process of submitting my book for review was simple and straightforward. I received an email confirmation within minutes of submitting my request. The review itself was thorough and well-written, with the reviewer clearly having read and understood my book.
But what really sets OnlineBookClub.org apart is their Book of the Day feature. For a small fee, my book was featured on their homepage for a day, giving it exposure to thousands of potential readers. And the best part? I saw a noticeable increase in sales after my book was featured.
Overall, I highly recommend OnlineBookClub.org to any author looking to promote their work. It's a fantastic resource that shouldn't be overlooked.
OnlineBookClub.org Review: A Costly Lesson in Writing Errors and Harsh Criticism
I spent a good chunk of change, $200.00 to be exact, for a review on OnlineBookClub.org. I was hoping for a review on Amazon, but the reviewer said that they couldn't do that. I was a bit disappointed, but I figured that I would still get something out of it. Unfortunately, I don't feel like I got my money's worth, except for one thing. The reviewer pointed out a bunch of errors in my book that I didn't even know were there. It turns out that the person who did the ebook version didn't do a very good job. Some of the errors that the reviewer mentioned weren't even in the paperback or hardback versions of my book. So, at least I know that there are some issues that need to be fixed.
However, there were a couple of errors that the reviewer mentioned that I don't agree with. They said that some of my sentences didn't make sense, but I think that they just didn't understand what I was trying to say. I mean, I'm not the best writer in the world, but I know what I meant when I wrote those sentences. I think that the reviewer was a bit too harsh on me, and that might have turned some people off from reading my book. I mean, I'm not saying that my book is perfect, but I don't think that it deserves to be completely dismissed because of a few typos.
Overall, I would give OnlineBookClub.org two stars. I did learn some things from the review, but I don't think that it was worth the money that I spent. I also think that the reviewer was a bit too critical, and that might have hurt my book's chances of getting more readers. But, hey, at least I know that I need to work on my writing skills a bit more!
Mixed Bag of Nuts: A Review of a Book Review Website
This website is like a mixed bag of nuts. I have some complaints about it, but also some good things to say. My main issue is that it's just too darn hard to figure out how to do anything. Every little thing seems to require a lot of effort. For example, I recently wanted to thank someone who reviewed my book, but it took me forever to figure out how to do it. I don't want to give up because I really want to show my appreciation, but it's frustrating when it takes so much time and energy to do something that should be simple. I think the site could be a lot better if it were easier to use.
On the other hand, there are some really great things about this site. I've seen some amazing talent here, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to connect with other book lovers. I recently got a review that was incredibly helpful, and it really made me feel like I was part of a community. I also appreciate the fact that the site is free to use, which is a big plus.
One thing that did surprise me, though, was the number of errors I found on the site. After receiving a very detailed review of my own work, I was surprised to see so many typos and mistakes in the instructions and other text on the site. It seems like they could do a better job of proofreading and editing. For example, they could start with something as simple as using the word "generally" correctly.
Overall, I think this site has a lot of potential, but it could use some work. If they could simplify things and make it easier to use, I think it would be a much better experience for everyone. But despite its flaws, I'm grateful for the good things I've found here, and I look forward to seeing what the future holds.

Not Worth Your Time: My Disappointing Experience with Book Review Site
I gotta say, I'm not too thrilled with this site. As a writer and proofreader, I thought it would be a great way to make some extra cash while doing something I enjoy - reading and reviewing books. But the further I get into their tier system, the more trouble I seem to have.
Their editors are constantly nitpicking my reviews and giving them low scores, often just as I'm about to reach the next level. And let me tell you, these editors are biased as all get out. They interpret the guidelines however they see fit, and it rarely goes in the reviewer's favor.
But that's not even the worst part. The forums are an absolute mess. I posted in the help forum about a review that was pending from July 2021 and had not been paid out (I had been patient as it was January 2022 when I finally raised an issue over it) and an admin came along and told me the help forum was not a place for complaints, then deleted my post. What kind of customer service is that?
And don't even get me started on the most recent review I submitted. It was supposed to earn me a $35.00 payout, but the editor declined it because they claimed I included a spoiler (which I didn't). Now I'm out the money I spent on the book, as well as the payout I was supposed to receive. Some of the books listed for review are self-purchased, and they're usually the ones with the higher payouts. So not only am I not getting paid, but I'm also out the money I spent on the book in the first place.
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend this site to anyone. The payouts are tiny, the books are often poorly edited and self-published, and the editors are incredibly biased. And when I left a poor review of the site, the owner reached out to me and was basically outraged that I dared to criticize their precious little platform. So yeah, 10/10 do NOT recommend.
Beware of Onlinebookclub's $100 Review Scam: A Warning
I've been a member of onlinebookclub for a few years now, on and off. The reason I keep coming back is that they pay you to write reviews. I usually get $5 per review, which is pretty decent if it's a book that I'm interested in. However, the owner, Scott, keeps trying to get everyone to add him on social media. It's a bit annoying, to be honest.
Recently, I was invited to do a review for $100 on Scott's new book, which he claims is a bestseller. I was skeptical, but I figured, why not? It turns out that the book is only a bestseller because he's paying people $100 to review it. The book itself costs about $30 with shipping from Barnes and Noble, but it takes about two weeks to arrive. Then, it takes another three weeks for them to verify that you've purchased the book, and another week or so for them to reject you. So, basically, you do the review, and it gets rejected, and you don't get anything but a crappy book that sucks.
The guy is a terrible writer, and if this is how he sells books, I no longer want to read them. Please don't fall for this scam. He uses aliases to sell his books by getting people to buy them in exchange for money. Luckily, I was able to return the book, so I didn't lose anything but time. If you purchase the book, it still falls under holiday shopping, so you can return it until January 31. Good luck, and I hope this review helps.
Update: So, if you leave a negative review exposing the truth about your experience, Scott will continue to send you emails asking you to change it. He even sent the same email to three of my email addresses. I asked him to stop contacting me and spamming my emails because I will not change my review. In his most recent email, he even tried to threaten my business, which I started during the pandemic, but I don't even have anymore. It's very distasteful and unprofessional for any business. Please beware.
OnlineBookClub.org: A Great Platform for New Reviewers, but with Issues to Address
I've been reviewing books for a couple of years now and I must say that OnlineBookClub.org (OBC) has been a great platform for new reviewers like me. It's easy to get started and they even offer free books to review. However, there are a few issues with OBC that I think need to be addressed.
Firstly, the quality of the books available on OBC is not always great. Some of them are downright painful to read. Unfortunately, there's no way to tell which books are good and which ones are not before you start reading them. This brings me to my second point - OBC wants you to rate all books 3 or 4 stars. If you give a book a lower rating, your review might be rejected. This is done to prevent bad publicity for the book, but it's not fair to the reviewers or the authors. How can we give an honest review if we're forced to rate every book highly?
Lastly, there's the issue of the "Book of the Day" (BOTD). This is a fake publicity stunt that OBC uses to help reviewers raise their score and win $20. Authors pay a lot of money to be featured as BOTD, but their book is forgotten after just one day. It's not fair to the authors who are desperate for publicity.
Overall, I think OBC is just like any other big platform - they're more concerned with making a profit than helping authors and reviewers. I've since moved on to reviewing books on Amazon directly and it's been a thousand times better.
Connect with Fellow Book Lovers on OnlineBookClub.org: A Review
OnlineBookClub.org is an online platform that presents a great community of avid readers who share their love for books. It is a fantastic platform where book lovers can connect, discuss, and discover new books together. The platform is filled with useful features that make it easier for people to connect and participate in various book discussions.
The platform is run by a team of enthusiastic and dedicated moderators who keep the discussions active and engaging. The website has a user-friendly interface that makes it easy for people to navigate and explore the different features available. It also has a vast library of books that users can choose from and enjoy reading.
One of the things that could improve the platform is the need for a public style guide. A public style guide would ensure that members are aware of the specific rules and guidelines that dictate the expectations and standards for writing reviews and participating in book discussions. This would provide benefits such as ensuring that reviews are written in a consistent style across the platform, and users can access high-quality reviews that are easy to read and understand.
Despite this minor issue, OnlineBookClub.org remains an excellent platform where readers come together to share their passion for literature. It is a fantastic place to discover new books, discuss them, and connect with other book lovers in a meaningful way. If you are an avid reader, then OnlineBookClub.org is definitely worth checking out.
OnlineBookClub.org Review: Unnecessarily Critical and Discouraging
I had a really negative experience with OnlineBookClub.org and I'm pretty unhappy about how things went down. While the site claims to offer helpful reviews for authors, I found that the reviewer assigned to my book was unnecessarily critical and nitpicky. They seemed to be more interested in finding every little mistake or potential flaw than in offering constructive feedback that could genuinely help me improve my writing.
In fact, I was so put off by the tone and content of the review that I've decided I won't be submitting any more of my work to OnlineBookClub.org for review. The whole experience left me feeling frustrated and discouraged, which is not how a good review process should make an author feel.
In general, I think that the site could benefit from being a bit more encouraging and supportive towards authors. While it's important to provide honest feedback, there's a difference between being honest and being needlessly critical. As someone who puts a lot of time and effort into my writing, I don't feel like I should be subjected to that kind of treatment just because I want to have my work reviewed by a professional.
All in all, I was pretty disappointed with my experience with OnlineBookClub.org. While I appreciate the effort that goes into reviewing books and providing feedback to authors, I don't think this particular site is the right fit for me. I'll be looking elsewhere for a more supportive and constructive review process in the future.
OnlineBookClub.org: A Site for Literary Discussion or Grammar Nitpicking?
As an avid reader and someone who has spent countless hours online searching for the perfect book club, I recently stumbled across OnlineBookClub.org. Excited to join in on the discussion and engage with others who shared my love of literature, I eagerly signed up.
However, after spending some time on the site, I quickly discovered that OnlineBookClub may not be the legitimate forum for true book lovers. While there were certainly passionate members who genuinely wanted to engage in meaningful discussion about the books they were reading, I found that far too many members were fixated on nitpicking grammatical errors, rather than focusing on the content of the books themselves.
As someone who believes that a great book can transcend even the most basic grammar mistakes, I found this approach to be disheartening. To me, the beauty of reading lies in the ability to delve into complex characters and themes, and to explore new ideas that challenge and inspire us. But on OnlineBookClub, it seems that far too many members are missing out on this experience by focusing solely on surface-level issues.
Moreover, I also found the overall structure and layout of the site to be somewhat confusing and difficult to navigate. While the main purpose of the site is to facilitate book discussions and reviews, I felt like I had to sift through a lot of clutter and outdated information just to find what I was looking for.
All in all, while OnlineBookClub may have some dedicated and passionate members, I ultimately found that the site's preoccupation with grammar and lack of focus on deeper literary analysis left me feeling disappointed and unfulfilled. For anyone who is truly interested in thoughtful book discussions and engaging with other passionate readers, I would recommend looking elsewhere.
OnlineBookClub.org Review: Excellent Platform for Book Lovers, But Limited Payment Options
OnlineBookClub.org is an excellent platform that caters to both hobbyists and enthusiasts alike. The website is commendable in its quality and reliability, offering a diverse range of books for its users to explore.
However, there is one downside that we must discuss; that is the presence of a sole payment method, Paypal. This can be inconvenient for some users as certain countries do not accept Paypal, leaving reviewers stranded without an easy means of receiving their earnings.
While it doesn't necessarily take away from the merits of the website as a whole, adding other payment options would make the process much more accessible and efficient for all users.
Despite this minor oversight, OnlineBookClub.org remains a fantastic resource for anyone who loves reading and desires a community that shares their passion. As the platform continues to evolve and improve, we can only hope that more options will become available for the comfort and ease of all members.
Mixed Experiences with OnlineBookClub.org: A Review of the Authors' Platform
OnlineBookClub.org is a platform where authors can upload their books for review by their team of reviewers. While it is a good idea to have one's book reviewed online, sometimes the result may not be as expected. One user reported that when he uploaded his book and got it reviewed, he found eight grammatical errors that he quickly fixed before republishing on Amazon. However, when he was charged an unjustified amount of money, and he decided that he wanted his book removed, the owner of the platform, Scott, started bullying and making threats to him.
Despite the nasty experience this user had with OnlineBookClub.org, it is important to note that not all users have had similar experiences. Sarah Creeley, one of the site's reviewers, gave her honest review of a book she had read. She noted that the book had a good collection of short stories, but needed more work. Her opinion highlighted the strength and weaknesses of the book, specifically pointing out that the stories could benefit from further development and editing.
In conclusion, OnlineBookClub.org could be a valuable platform for authors who want to have their books reviewed. While the experience of some users has not been positive, there are many who have found the site useful. It is important to research before using any online platform and to monitor the feedback received. As with any other review or critique, negative opinions should be taken as an opportunity to learn and improve. Remember, every author can't please every reader.
OnlineBookClub.org Review: Rising Costs and Pricing Structure Concerns for Aspiring Authors
As an author, I had initially signed up with OnlineBookClub.org for a book review. I must say, I was fairly pleased with the result and the fact that it was offered for free. However, I was a bit taken aback when I was asked to purchase a "promotion package" to enhance the posting of my review on the website.
But that's not all. Since the posting of my review, I have seen a substantial increase in the cost of reviews, with the website owner claiming to be competing with Kirkus Reviews, which in my opinion is quite a stretch.
The current pricing structure for reviews and promotion packages may come as a shock to many aspiring authors out there. For instance, you could pay as much as $297 to have your book reviewed within a month, or $199 for an author interview on the website. If you are looking to go all out on marketing your book, you could spend up to $8,600 on a 3-month social media book campaign!
While the website offers various review packages ranging from $97 to $297, the turnaround time ranges from 4 months to 1 month, depending on the package. The higher you go in the pricing packages, the more features you get, including being guaranteed one of the few top-level reviewers, featured status, homepage links to your review, and a chance to be entered into the 2017 Book of the Year contest.
Although the website is still active and functional, one cannot help but feel skeptical about the escalating fees and seemingly opportunistic pricing structure. Aspiring authors need to weigh the hit on their pockets before jumping on board.
