OneGuard Home Warranties review: Do not waste your time with this company

* Follow through on open tickets
1) had multiple open tickets. Issue(s) -
* Aging open tickets - One Guard did not follow up with vendor one open tickets. After, complaining, One Guard tried to get out of an open ticket by saying the appliance was too old, and they could not find a replacement for the part. So, they tried to give us a refund of ~$114 and told us to go find the part ourselves. first of all, with the monthly fee and the cost of the warranty guy showing up I was out $250 and One Guard tried to settle for 114. If One Guard is refusing to cover old appliance, they need to say so in their contract. Not until I went ballistic were these open tickets resolved (somehow, they found the older parts).
* Not covering electrical boards for appliances - when I applied for this warranty, I was not informed that they don't cover electrical boards. Again, had to complain to One Guard to cover an electrical board for the refrigerator.
* Not covering electrical boards for pools. - See above -
* Renewal issue that resulting in One Guard turning me over to a collection company - BAD, BAD communication on behalf of company - after all of the BAD / AWFUL issue I have had with this company - I decide not to renew but was trying to get my issues from 2025 resolved. One Guard would call and ask for payment and my comment was I will not agree to new contract until the old contract was resolved. Therefore, I felt I had the account basically on hold Once the old contract was finally resolved - I told them I would not be renewing for 2026. I asked an agent what I needed to do and they said nothing, it would just stop after 3 months of non-payment. BUT GUESS WHAT, they sent us to collections for non-payment! Had the agent informed us this would happen - I would have gone ballistic again and gotten this resolved well before collection.
