I deposited money at the ATM, but when it went off, the screen turned black and my money got taken. It's been 7 days now, and my account is in the negative. I'm not getting any help.

I tried to take out money from Old Second Bank in ***. I'm a customer and this is their ATM. I got an error message, no money, but a receipt saying I withdrew $260. I called customer service when they opened and they told me I had to go to a branch and fill out a form. I went and had to fill out a fraud form. Meanwhile, that money has been taken from my account. I tried to talk through the app and I never got a response. There have been many mistakes since Old Second bought out ***, but now they're stealing their customers' money? I hope for a quick fix so I can get my money back and then I'm leaving this bank.

My checking account got messed up when someone stole and cashed a check, leaving me with no money and a bunch of fees. The stolen check was for $9800 and it was cashed at a different bank. I think the theft happened at a specific location and the check was cashed at a different bank. I mailed the check on June 6th and it was cashed on June 23rd. The branch manager has been helping me set up a new account and deal with the fees. We had to file a fraud report and now we have to wait 120 days for the bank to investigate and give us our money back. It's been 97 days and we haven't heard anything. The branch manager can't get any information and the Old National help line hasn't been helpful either. How can a bank cash such a big check without checking if it's real? This is a big problem that's happening to other people too. My neighbor had the same thing happen to him with a different bank. We've reported it to the police and the Inspector General, but we haven't heard anything back yet. We also complained to Old National, but they haven't done much.
