Hello,
my name is Kay Bender and I bought a painting (Indians at River) on Nov. 17th 2018 Lot 0281 from Old Barn Auction House. It took a couple weeks before the "painting" was shipped to me. It was really dirty and it looked like a lot of smoke residue was on it. I made an appointment with a conservator about 80 miles away. The man was very busy, the holidays came up and he had to go on a trip. I made an appointment with him because he was working on some other paintings I had left with him to restore for me. He contacted me on April 6th and told me that the "painting Indians at the River" is not a painting but a print! I relied on the auction advertisement that this is a painting and I was very surprised because this is a misrepresentation of the facts to me!
I contacted the the Old Barn Auction House and got a reply today April 8th from a
Vicky that wrote to me:
"Kay
you have 28 days after the auction to RETURN items! read your agreement in our terms. no returns after 5 months!
Vicky"
I think this is totally unacceptacle. I think I'm a good customer of "Liveauctioneers" and I do no expect this treatment...
This is a misrepresantation of a print as an painting and I would like to resolve this without contacting my lawyer.
I hope you can assist me in this matter. My phone number is [protected].
Thank you,
Kay Bender
