Hired developer Andrej Atanasovski, who took our money, failed to produce a line of working code, had excuse after excuse, when we questioned him as to why he doesnt email us back and missed skype, he told us it was our fault. He kept our money and when we had his code check it had a virus embedded onto our servers and we found code that he had stolen from another developer
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
This is Andrej Atanasovski (www.andrejodesk.com) speaking. This report is coming from client who couldn't handle the truth and seeks for revenge. Some people would rather kill a half world instead accept the truth and try to be better persons. No matter how hard I try I can't find any positive things to say about Art. First of all, he does not respect people at all. I couldn't even enjoy my summer vacation 2014 because he was sending me emails all the time about some issue. Despite I didn't have stable wi-fi connection all the time I managed to fix the problem. This is nothing compared to how he treats his coders. He asks silly technical questions like "why you insert the data in database I thought you would run the cron and data will be inserted" in a situation where he has destroyed his website database completely because of his lack of tech knowledge. He does not respect your way of working at all and asks you all the time just to give you hard time not that he is really interested to know. He would say things like "I didn't authorize you to do this", "You have 24 hours" etc. and ultimately will fire you like you are worthless. Working with this individual is extremely difficult, he is going to make you feel bad and guilty because he is paying you. He will squeeze every bit of energy from you. He is going to tell you how to do your own job though he has no clue just superficial knowledge. Expect extremely intense communication where with each new email pressure will be mounting.
Art says he is 45 years in this business but he learned almost nothing. While I worked for him, pressure, nagging, unrealistic questions and weird communication were the main characteristics. He is very controlling, can get aggressive on moments and will try to put you down in every way. He said "Talk the talk and walk the walk" once to me. In Art's mind everything is simple and idealistic. He had crushed his websites and expected me to rebuilt them in a couple of days. I put hard effort and managed to fix things as much as I could and then he became impatient and interrupted me in my work by ending the contract without any strong reason. He simply lost it and did not want to wait for me to finish my job. At the moment of this message (14 days since the contract ended) his websites are still not fixed and I assume he changed at least 3-4 developers by now. I told him just a few more days were needed but he made a rush decision and there is no going back.
I personally have nothing against Art, this is not a revengeful feedback at all. I want to share my experience and unfortunately to say that Art was the worst client I have ever worked since I work on oDesk. He is the type of client that wants to lower your self-esteem to the point you will start suspecting in your own abilities. He hires/fires people just like that. Instead of trying to work on the issue with you as a team, he is going to give you some unrealistic time, then his mood will change and he will fire you.
In the beginning everything may seem perfect, but soon enough the real face of Art will emerge and you will see what I'm talking about.
If you want to be someone who will have to be 24/7 available to Art, go ahead and work for him. If you want to be puppet and robot that Art is going to think he can control via remote control, also go ahead and work for Art.
Regardless of what he is going to say about me, all that matters to me is the truth hence this huge "feedback" because I feel it is my duty to save as many people as I can not to go through what I went because it is not normal working environment. If you don't believe me get hired by Art and you will see what I'm talking about.
In the end I will wish all the best and good luck to Art, I wish things could have turned out differently.
