NPF Reports Division review: $1,200,000 award payout 15

My mother received a letter in Aug. 2015 from NPF Reports Division saying she won $1, 200, 000 and that to collect she needs to send $20. Unfortunately she did. Very sad how these criminals scam the elderly. She said she is now getting several scams in the mail weekly.

I also received one of these letters and about 1, 000 others over the past 10 years. Forget about any Government Fraud Division or the Better Business Bureau to report these to. They cannot do anything. Yes, posting is helpful to those of us who know to check beforehand but what percentage of people does that cover as compared to how many of these are mailed. To date I have names of over 60 different Scam companies. When they reach the Scam listing they just change their corporate names around and most times by one or two letters. This is aside from the 10 other Domain names they own already. If any of you have or have had your own business, you KNOW first hand how many business names you can have and can use. (Now that I think of it, multiply those 60 I have listed already by 10! Holy Crap!)
All joking aside my friends, if I could afford it I'd quit my job and compile a listing monthly and at the very least post it and try to get it into the mailboxes of friends, family and as someone said earlier, any of the elderly that I may know the location of.
However, I do want to afford some information that I only speak of through any knowledge gained over those 10 years I mentioned earlier and try to explain it. Most important information I can assure you of is that much of what you receive by way of these letters (albeit unscrupulous), is that for the most part, they are completely legal. Before anyone gets all up in arms that I would say that, consider this... Does anyone not think that if these disgusting, a-moral, no life individuals could actually get into any trouble, be fined or even worse do you think that they would continue? The next time you or a loved one gets one of these letters as with this one being posted and it reads something like "It is our pleasure to announce that your recent participation to win a major sweepstakes has been validated. You have been officially approved (some may add "as the individual") identified to receive the available Sweepstakes Cash and Awards prize-data as detailed in REPORT OF ENTRANT DIRECTIVES NOW PENDING RELEASE TO YOU FOR THE TOTAL $AMOUNT OF $2, 000, 000 IN PRIZES! " Best wishes, bla bla bla. Just disect that one particular statement. You just read a legal statement that only says that at one time or another you entered "a" sweepstakes or participated in a prize award of some kind and this has been "validated" as they state. Maybe you did, maybe you didn't enter anything ever. Chances are you did at one point. Still, nothing illegal. They probably got your name off another list. Now they will tell you that you've been officially "approved" to receive this available money.. Again nothing illegal because everyone is "approved" to win money. Note that they didn't say you are the "approved winner" of this money... Also they will almost always use the phrase "Sweepstakes Cash and Awards prize - "DATA". Ergo - they are offering information only (or DATA) regarding instructions to ENTER sweepstakes which total the $1, 200, 000. Technically, if you send money (in this case $20.00) they ARE obligated to send you what are only mailings which I will explain. (However for the most part you will never get these mailings.) I received them only because, I can be relentless when I'm paying for something and never get a response. This is when I found out how they covered their legal bases in their original letter. The (DATA) information I received in my mail from them did in fact, total the amount they wrote me about in the initial letter that sounded like I already had won! These companies are experts at writing to make it believable that it's only for you. Truth be told "EVERYONE IS ENTITLED TO CASH/PRIZE AWARDS DATA." We can all find this stuff on line or advertised on TV as with Publishers Sweepstakes. They just find all different companies who are holding awards and sweepstakes for whatever reason and use this information to arrive at an amount of money to reference in your letters. Get it? Also don't be fooled by the usage of the words "ENTRANT DIRECTIVES". They are the same thing. Directions on "how to enter" all the sweepstakes they have compiled. The same information they will be sending you which will add up to the amount in your " Available Cash and Awards Opportunity / Scheduled for Release " letters. The catch is that you are not paying for nothing. Legally that is. If you stay on top of these places they have to send you the mailing I spoke of earlier. All in all it's just a matter a semantics and I somehow doubt the government or anyone else can do anything about "Tom Foolery". That being said, I know what I'd like to do to them -
I sincerely hope this has helped in someway. Please don't think this is from some "know it all" either. It's been a long time and I've been dumber than dumb many times to get to this point. Just want to help even one person. Good luck everyone.

I just got the same letter in the mail just today, I feel these people should be locked away for a long time, if they have 1.2 million for some one then they should not ask you for money, not even 1 dollor. Yes it looks good to you but be careful..

I got one today.exact same wording. However if you turn the letter over and read the Consumer Information, it clearly states "You have not won any money or prize, NPF is not liable for any entries..." please be careful folks and read every thing. Take it to a lawyer first if it is real they will let you know cause they will want a cut, but that is the best way to find out.

I also received one of these letters thankfully I always check for phone numbers first. Word to the wise if you cannot find the phone number to check their legitimacy do not send your money it is more than likely a scam. Thankfully I did not fall for this but I know others that have. Also you should be on the lookout for letters coming from the law office of Butler Rosr and Jameson Associates it is the same thing as these letters DO NOT SEND THEM YOUR MONEY!

I also got one of these... as well as other letters like these ...they all are scams attacking the elderly...This world is truly evil filled with people like this ... they should be ashamed of themselves preying on elderly . How would they feel if someone would have done this to their parents or grandparents.Elderly are on a fixed income or their health may not be good so they may not be able to work and have limited funds. All of you doing this are getting your reward now for those that do send in $20.00 but you WILL have to answer for your sins

I received the same letter and I also have entered drawing so I truly believed I won. This is so horrible I believe they should have to pay as well. Now I will never know if I truly win in any other sweepstakes that could be real cause I won't believe it no matter how real it seams. This one got me!

MAY GOD POUR BLESINGS UPON HIS HEAD LIKE ANNOINTING OIL FLOWS OVER THE OLIVE GROVE.
MAY HE GET HIMSELF A WHOLE BUNCH OF NEW FRIENDS THAT SHARES THE GOODNESS AND BLESSES OUR LORD BESTOWS UPON HIM FOR ALL THESE LETTERS THAT WERE MEANT FOR EVIL WILL TURN INTO GLORY FOR OUR LORD JESUS.
Oh what a joyous occasion that will be. Let us shock hells foundations with praises as we pray
Over these letters putting a stop to their evilness and being thankful the crooks were dumb enough to ask for $20 and not a hundred or thousand for how much worse our loved ones would have been hurt when all they were trying to do was be a blessing to our children, praise .God he was watching over them.

My granddaughter is taken with the fact that " everyone is honest" . This NPF secured Mail cash win for 1, 200, 000.00 had her coming to me for answers. I can't believe that people get away with this kind of advertising. And it is not just this band of dishonest people. Advertising now is a scam in itself but that is another story altogether. You definitely have to read between the lines.

The Bold captions reading : receiver certificate - AS GUARANTEED TO YOU IN REPORT OF ENTRANT PROCEDURE DIRECTIVES FOR THE ENTIRE *** $1, 200, 000.00 ONE MILLION TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS.****CAITLIN and return it along with the required $20.00 report fee in order to initiate delivery.

By the way - she is 19 years old.
