Nintendo – Animal crossing new horizons

I’m writing to express my concern regarding an issue my daughter encountered while playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons. She attempted to enter her name, Anushka, during character creation, but the game flagged it as inappropriate and prevented its use.
This was deeply disappointing and confusing, as Anushka is a well-recognized name with a beautiful meaning — “Grace.” There is absolutely nothing offensive or inappropriate about it. It’s incredibly disheartening to see a legitimate name being rejected, especially one that holds personal and cultural significance.
Children deserve to feel seen and respected, and being told that their name is “inappropriate” can be both hurtful and confusing. I kindly request that you review the name filters and correct any logic that may wrongly exclude culturally valid names like Anushka. Ensuring inclusivity and sensitivity in your filtering system would reinforce the welcoming spirit of the Animal Crossing franchise.
