In April 2022, I paid Newton Group *** to resolve my Vacation Village property and Diamond Resorts. However, I decided to withdraw the Diamond Resorts property because I was told it would be more expensive. This happened about 6 weeks into the contract. Unfortunately, I have not received any refund from the company. Additionally, I have not received any communication from them since making the payment.

I think everyone is lying and I'm tired of it. We've been dealing with the Newton Group Since Feb. 6th of this year and they keep blaming things not getting done on someone else. Now *** is saying we have options. I'm tired of being lied to. I want my claim resolved. I want them to follow through with the promises that were made. They said they could get us out of our timeshare. I want it done yesterday.

I paid $3,875 to Newton Group on 9/15 and gave them all the documents for the time share. Today, on 9/4, I still haven't received any final results. It's been two years and nothing has been resolved. I paid $3,875 to Newton Group on 9/15 and sent all the documents for the time share to their website right away. Then, on 10/1, I received a letter using *** with instructions. One of the actions was to not use the time share anymore and to stop paying the maintenance fees. I was also told to inform the legal team about any notices from the time share. Every 6 months, I received calls from the law firm, but I had nothing to tell them. I was upset with the lack of progress and wanted my money back. Then, on 9/26, I received an offer from the time share to pay them $3,300, which I rejected. The lawyer suggested making a counter offer, so we did. After that, I didn't hear anything for a long time. Now, on 8/30, I received a collection notice, so I sent it to the law firm. They responded with a letter of validation and a cease and desist. When I followed up with the law firm, they thought I could get out of the situation based on my heart conditions if I paid $3,395 and provided a doctor's note. Now, they are asking for my health records. I would think that the law firm would say that HIPAA covers my rights. I'm still waiting for the law firm to close this nightmare. Another option they proposed was to continue not paying the maintenance fees and hope that the time share will foreclose, but the lawyer said it took someone else two years and it would hurt my credit. I want my $3,875 refund from Newton Group. They initially said they had a 100% money back guarantee, but now they're saying they don't. I'm considering reporting this issue to the *** State Attorney as a scam.
