Can't seem to find my original complaint to update it with more ridiculousness in regards to the scam we call assistance in the state of Florida, so I'll start from the beginning. In May of 2023 I filed to renew my benefits after my business was shut down for the second time due to Hurricane Ian. In June I was denied and told I did not submit the loss of income forms that are still sitting in my upload box today. I was told to reapply. In July I was denied due to making to much money even though I was making $0 and recieving $0 in child support, I was told to reapply. August 23,2023 I was approved and received $45 for July (3 people) and $180 for August. This was $400 less than I received prior to renewal so I looked over my information and low and behold they had doubled my income instead of removing it. So I reported a change on 8/24/23. This change sat in pending status until September when it just switched to complete status. I filed it again and it says pending until October 2,2024 when I filed for additional benefits trying to get their attention nothing else. October 15th I was sent a letter requiring an interview which I had the very next day. One day after that on 10/17/23 I received an email stating my cash assistance was denied so to not completing work requirements. I had just had the interview the day before an my start an end date for said benefits was the same day. But my snap benefits went up t0 $300. So I call and after 2 hours of going in circles and being made to feel like I was the problem, I was told that I had been receiving $200 in cash assistance which was 100% false and that it was being counted as Income. Then I was told they would call me back. Never got a call back. Today, 10/20/23 I get an email stating my snap benefits were reduced to $23 a month for not submitting income documents. Are you freaking kidding me right now. I'm about to lose my mind. The employees act as if they are paying these benefits from their own pocket, they act like we all have bad I intentions and don't deserve to get help. It's pretty simple math according to the only Florida snap calculator. 3 people no income besides my 18 year old daughter who's still in school but that doesn't matter they count her income. Even with her income however we should be getting over $400. It has been 6 months and I am back to square one. Why is this such a problem? Why is no one addressing it? Where is the money going? Maybe we should investigate the department and find out why they are so upset o provide benefits for us, wonder who's taking a loss if they do? One more thing, in order o file for benefits back when I got divorced I HAD to file for child support so that they could enforce it. My ex now owes $65k in back child support and has never spent a night in jail, has a driver's license and a passport, never paid a purge, nothing. The entire department is a joke and Florida needs to be healed responsible. I'm sick and tired of being a victim to this scam.

Desired outcome: Backdated benefits for the correct amount by law in regards to the snap program and my current situation. Full investigation into the scam leaving thousands of struggling Floridians with children without assistance.
