MVQ health plan review: Not authorized 47

an anauthorized charge from account. never have heard of this company.

Our checking account also has a $14.95 withdrawal for MVQ Health Plan. We have never heard of this this company. I saw two other complaints just today. Is this a new scam?

I had this problem after buying a book, but I called [protected], and the lady, supposedly from MQV Health Plan, told me she'd cancel my subscription and refund my money. I haven't gotten any money back yet, but as I just made the call, it's not surprising. I hope this works and I hope others can try to cancel their "subscriptions" before this company scams much more.

on my statement i noticed that i had a debit of 29.95 i never signed up for this bogus company and yes for all of who work on ripping the consumer off i hope you get jail time because i never authrized theses changes so in the best interest of the company give back to those you stole money from for i put a dispute with my cedit card company and with mvq and if i dont recieve the credit back i will go the attorney generals office what disgrace especially when pple have families they need to support so put it back on my card because i am one not to be toyed with and for all other consumers think the same way they gave me confirmation number to confirm that i will be recieving my credit back i hope for their sake its true and stop scamming pple who never gave you the go ahead its so on

This company is a scam. They charged me $19.95 for two months before I caught it. My bank refunded it to me then I changed my debit card and guess what, they got the new number and charged $59.90 against it! I recommend everyone file a complaint with your state attorney general's office and get these scammers shut down. I call them was told I would get a refund in 2 to 3 days and was told I had gotten a credit report - I have never gotten a credit report! I only use a debit card and have no credit! File complaints!

Because I pay my Discover bill pretty much without question or intense scrutiny, I only discovered this month that these thieves had charged me two times a month at $19.95 each since June! That's $40 a month! I called them over the weekend and got the electronic mumbo gumbo followed by the statement "Sorry we are closed." I called again during the week...early morning. I stated that I wanted a refund. To be honest they were polite and professional, but as is stated in other comments here, they seemed used to this. I spoke with a supervisor who said I would be refunded in full...a sum of about $200. Don't just cancel, CALL THEM AND DEMAND A FULL REFUND. I have never heard of these people and still can't figure out how they got my credit card number. I will be paying closer attention to my Discover bill in future.

I have been charged three times by this MVQ cxompany. 29.95 each time and I don NOT know why, who, or what the charge was for! How do I get my money back from these people?

As an addition to my original posting, I have had an insight as to what may have been the culprit...NEWSMAX MAGAZINE is offering on TV a Emergency Radio AM/FM/SW Radio & Emergency Lights. The way they get credit or debit card info is the charge for the shipping & handling. I, like many, many others could not resist the offer and ended up in cahoots with MVQ.

Seems MVQ isn't getting the message - my VISA account shows a 10-31-09 charge of $24.95. Never heard of them before. So what are our State Attorney General's office doing about this?

I have been charged $29.95 twice by this company. I have read all your comments and I am SO MAD that I will have to go to my bank and discontinue my accounts over something I had no idea about. If there is any way to get this company sued, so help me... I will contribute all that I can to do so.

The only reason I called my bank was to question about a charge that showed up twice on 8/6/09. This place (never heard of them before) charged my account $19.95 TWICE for something I didn't order or agree to. When I called the phone number my bank had given to me, the place was closed. No messages, only enter the account number or membership number...WHAT MEMBERSHIP? I was livid. I called the bank back and they explained what I needed to do. I called this MVQ place first thing the next morning and she said the same thing...I'm sorry...blah, blah, blah...you're account will be credited twice for $19.95 in 3-4 business days. The sad thing is, it appears this can continue every month. What a hassle for people to have to change their bank account numbers and order new cards. I will file a suit against this company for illegally charging my bank account.

Count me in the same boat. What the heck is this health plan anyway? Do they know I have a preexisting condition? Will they pay for my cancer treatments? Hmmmm.

I just got charged $29.95 TODAY! The number they give just give you information and nothing else. They are being very slick. From what I read, I AM SCREWED! I am going to the bank hopefully today or tomorrow to let them know the problem. I am supporting whoever is trying to take them down. IF worse comes to worse, I will close my account completely & go to a whole new bank with a ### load of protection.

I have a 29.95 MVQ fraudulent charge from my checking that I never authorized and had never heard of I googled the name and found this site. I am calling my bank tomorrow and calling these people as well. If I need to file fraudulent charges I will. Why has this company not been sued?

On 8/8/09 I was fraudulantley charged $19.95 from MVQ after making an online purchase from khols online. I was unable to immediatley reach anybody from MVQ and subsequently filed a fraud complaint with my bank.

I just got a 14.95 charge on my checking, from these people, and this is not the first time! this is the second time my bank has had to cancel my card, and resend a new one, omg what a pain in the ###! I didn't sign up for these people services, and I wish they would stop charging me! My bank (US Bank) is really good and is up on the scams going on, they investigated the company and the charge, and refunded my money.

I called the [protected] and apparently they are used to people complaining about these charges.

I spoke to Deborah and she was very rude, she said that when I purchased something from Intelious.com I allegedly signed up for a membership with MVQ HealthPlan, when I told her I never did that and asked what this charge is all about she just brushed it off by saying

"We will refund your money within 3-4 business days" Thank you for calling and hung up. ugh! I'm so angry. I don't understand with electronic deposit and withdrawal capabilities why the hell does it take 3-4 business days for banks to put that money bank into my account especially when the charge is still pending! I feel so helpless!

As soon as these charge clears, I'm running to the bank to change my account and debit card numbers! I recommend you do that as well, IF THEY GOT YOU ONCE THEY WILL DO IT AGAIN!

Sadly I ran into this site after being charged $24.95 by this people MVQ*HEALTHPLAN [protected] IL. I'm so angry as this is all the money we had for the rest of the week. These people are so pathetic, as if we don't have enough financial stress!

I was charged 14.95 by two separate companies, MVQ Health and Passport to fun plus. They informed me that they recieved my information through VISTAPRINT after I thought I ordered some FREE business cards from, for which I only had to pay shipping and handling. Apparently a health plan and a fun passsport comes along with these free business cards.

this is the second month that mvq healtplan has taken 19/95 of my account, the first time i contacted my bank and the bank did a fraud investigation and gave me my money back and now today i saw that they charged me again 19, 95 so i called the phone number [protected] and a lady name Tony answer and promised that my money would be rein burst today ans that she would cancel my account which she said that i got offered on line through revenue search, i have never heard of that... this is a new scam and if you need to but names on your list im inn.

I posted a complaint here on July 11, but MVQ did refund my money. I too ended up in this trap after buying from restaurant.com. I complained to them, and they were quite snippy with me. I was told it was my doing and I should be more careful with fine print. I went back to the site and saw were I made the mistake, but I do not think it was clear. I simply do not feel that reputable companies should have a link that gets the customer scammed like this. I hate being signed up for something I do not want.

I just checked my bank account this morning and found a charge for 19.95 to MVQ Healthplan. I am very upset, I have very little in the bank right now as it is. I called my bank and they really can't do anything until it actually posts, probably tomorrow, but then we can file a complaint and go from there. When I do call them back tomorrow I'm requesting new numbers for our cards. I don't know how they got our numbers, I haven't bought anything online in awhile. I was actully glad to find this sight and all these complaints to make my complaint legit.

IF YOU GET A CHARGE FROM MVQ HEALTHPLAN CALL YOUR BANK! THEY WILL SEND OR EMAIL YOU AN AFFIDAVIT OF FRAUD TO FILL OUT. SEND IT BACK OR TAKE IT TO YOUR BANK AND YOU WILL GET YOUR MONEY BACK. ALSO MAKE SURE YOU REPORT IT TO YOUR BANK SO THEY WILL CANCEL YOUR CARD GIVING YOU A NEW CARD WITH A NEW NUMBER.

I just found MVQ Health Plan on my bank statement today. Totally confused about who they were I Googled the name and found numerous complaints similar to mine. My husband knew who they were immediately since it happened to him months ago. He had ordered a pizza on line from a very popular pizza business (**** John's!) and without his knowledge was signed up for "Discount Shopping Membership". Your signed up for money "saving" coupons! Give me a break! He disputed it on his American Express card and they took if off that day! He was told they had 700 complaints of this company doing this to people! Evidently often when you buy something on line they (with permission from the company your buying from who probably get a cut.) have a box somewhere saying if you do NOT check the box you will be enrolled! Sounds like an illegal act but unfortunately it's perfectly legal! The only place I can remember buying from was Amazon! So now I am suspicious of them!

Me too! I have no idea who these people are, or where they got my info. I'm struggling, I'm barely keeping above water here, and i call my bank and find i'm at negative 200 dollars!
Turns out there are 2 charges fom this health plan i never signed up for, and 1 from "Credit protection"?
Another service i never bought. Why would i want to check my credit? I know it stinks!
So along with the overdraft fees( i had about 10 dollars in my account) i'm screwed!
When i called the number on my statement, they said i needed the transaction number from the bank, because they had no record of me having an account. Yeah, that's because i don't have one!
Wow. Pick on someone your own size, guys. I don't hava pot to... well you know, in!

I would like to thank you guys for putting the phone number up... I've been getting these $1.00 charges for a few months and didn't pay any attention to it until I got an overdraft fee ($38) for going over by $.03 beacause of MVQ Healthplan! I week later I got the $29.95 charge from them as well. The company is really Privacy Matters 1-2-3 and I think I got it from Freecreditreport.com, where they charged me $1.00 for my scores. Anyway, after calling them today with a not-so-happy tone, there refunding my$29.95 and the $1.00 charges. My bank will wipe out the fee... phew. Call and give 'em hell!

I have not only 1 but 2 pending charges in my credit card today for $29.95 from this MVQ health plan which I did not approve of! This was so upseting I called them and told them I wanted this transactions canceled that I new nothing of their so called health plan. They promised to cancel & refund that it will post to my account within 2 days. the women I talked 2 asked if I or any member of my home had signed up to Free credit Report.com with my account info. so I'm assuming this web site is where this occured. I also called my bank to cancel my account # & got a new 1 so this don't happend again this is scary now every time I go online I wonder if I should even use my credit card! This is MVQ health plan # [protected] for any1 else that's goin through this problem.

I got a charge on my credit card today for $24.95, also. I did an background check through Intellius.com. I called [protected]. They said that I had joined a year long subscription to that site. After talking with the lady on the phone and after a few harsh words, she refunded the amount back to my card. I have also contacted my bank for them to send me out a new card with a new number so that they don't try to do this for next month.

I have just been charged from MVQ health plan. Who are they and how did they get my information? For the records, I do have my own health insurance - and I have never solicited for any of their services. Therefore, I would seek legal redress if my payment isn't refunded within 3 business working days.

The same thing happened to me! I just saw a discharge of 29.95 today! I am amazed. What can I do? I keep calling the number for MVQ in my bank statement [protected] but I don't know how to cancel it!

I just got the same 14.95 charge. I called the number on my bank statement [protected]. I was told that they got my credit card number through restaurants.com. By using their website, I some how "joined" a website with a one month free trial. By not canceling the membership I was charge 14.95. Of course I never agreed to join any website and could have never known to cancel it. Amazing. I thought restaurants.com was a decent safe website. BE WARNED.
