M&T Silver Creek, NY review: Inoperable atm and poor customer service

A new ATM was installed in Silver Creek, NY about a month ago. It has been down for at least 3 of those weeks. The teller inside the branch said they have one technician (From Rochester) and he does not know how to fix this new machine. She also told me they do not know when it will be fixed. I am forced to use a different ATM in town to access my money but get charged. M&T refuses to pay me back those charges even though it is there fault I cannot access my money without leaving work during business hours to do simple banking. During this time my checking account was overdrawn due to a scheduled autopay. This could have been easily avoided since I recognized the issue but was not able to deposit the needed cash. So I got charged an overdraft penalty, again totally avoidable. Customer service was not willing to help and not very interested in correcting these issues. So, I must say M&T service is not at the level I have come to know for the past 40 years of banking.
