Mr. Tire - Wheel alignment

My name is Gary Coley I live at 165 Coley Lane Amherst Virginia 24521 my phone number is [protected] and my email address is [protected]@gmail.com. I came to a wheel alignment appointment that I had on 10/30/20 at 8:30am for my 2016 Toyota Tundra crewmax. I had brand new tires on it from another business. I have several complaints about this visit one is very serious and I am very upset about. The wheel heads sensors for the alignment machine that they have there apparently are outdated. I had 20 in aluminum wheels with 33 x 12.50 mud tires. And they had a special lip around the bead to help keep things like mud and sand from getting in between the tire and wheel. Apparently the technician had a hard time getting the rods to go in between them to put the sensors on the Wheel I witnessed him beating on them with a hammer a metal hammer and not a small one. It really didn't cross my mind right then that he was damaging my wheels because I thought he knew what he was doing maybe he had done that before. So he aligned the truck and brought it out and parked it and I paid the bill and left didn't make it very far down the road till the truck was still pulling to the right pretty bad. So I turn around and go back and tell them that the truck is still pulling to the right bad. I told them for one of them to drive it and see. Show the technician that did the alignment drove it down the road and came back and said yes it is pulling bad. So he took it back in the garage and put it on the alignment machine again. Awhile later he pulls out of the garage and test drives it again comes back and Parks it. He comes in and says it is still pulling to the right. He says I don't know what is wrong it must be something wrong with the machine I don't know. So the guys in the office didn't know what to say so they gave me a refund and told me to try somewhere else that they recommended but I can't remember what the name of the place was. So to make a long story short I was there and counting driving time there and home it took 4 hours to get an alignment that did not even work it had been raining all morning and it rained all day and evening. What a great day! So because of the rain I did not look at my wheels until the next morning because I was still wondering why I could not get an alignment. So then I noticed he had messed up my wheels it was small notches in some places where he beat those things in-between my Wheel and Tire and some pretty good scratches where I guess one of them fell off. So of course I was very upset I put a little red mark beside all the spots I could see tried taking pictures of them they don't show up very well in the photos but I am going to get a camera and take better photos. And while doing that I even picked a few little slivers of aluminum that had broken off the edge of my wheels that was still in the groove between the Wheel and Tire. I have them in a little cellophane wrapper. And I noticed three of my metal Toyota TRD valve stem caps were replaced with black plastic ones. I cannot believe that someone at Mr. Tire could be so unprofessional. So then I called them to let them know that I was pretty upset about what had happened they really act like they didn't even care or like it did not happen. I think they should have to get me some new Wheels. This is a 40 some thousand dollar truck I did not want my wheels messed up. And after doing a little research and some looking and measuring on my truck I realized that the rear end was out of whack the toe in was way off and the thrust angle was off. And then after that I noticed on the print out that they gave me from the alignment machine said exactly that so the technician should have knew what was wrong. The print out shows the toe in was off and the thrust angle was off point 30 degrees. So there was no way that the truck would drive and handle correctly. It didn't take me but a few hours reading up stuff on Google to find out all the information that the technician should have already known and been trained on. So I just got screwed all the way around and I think I should be reimbursed for my wheels. If I don't hear anything back from this I'm going to contact the corporate office tomorrow or maybe the next day. Thank you. PS. They should have had more up-to-date sensor heads like the ones in the photos not the old ones with metal prongs. And I will be taking some better photos of the wheels.
