1st complaint: Bought our home here in San Diego, We had old style windows in our home, We decided to have installed new vinyl dual pane windows. All of the windows, doors and etc, are hard wired to our alarm system which was installed by Morse signal devices, upon taking out the old windows we found to our dismay that the contacts had been installed in the lower channel of the windows making the venerable to rain or water. to have been properly installed they should have been installed 12 to 15 inches up on the side channel, where water would not hinder them. Our window installers did not have the equipment to replace them where they should have been installed in the first place, Called Morse they sent two people here to extend the wires and install new contacts, I received a billing from them for nearly $1400.00 I called and complained that this could have been avoided if the system had been installed right in the first place. They reduced the charges to aprx $400.00.

2nd complaint: We decided to have our kitchen remodeled, In the south west corner of the kitchen above the sink,we have two small windows, each being contacted. Upon removing the sink box cabinet I found the two contact wires running from the control box was laid about 4ft from the corner out in the floor and aprx 2 1/2 ft from the wall running under the frame of the sink box that had granite counter tops upon it. (Very Heavy) the box was made out of 3/4 inch stock which I was amazed that it had not cut the wires, While the area was open I took my drill went into the very corner drilled a hole, cut the wire and fed it down under the sub floor I thought there was enough slack in the wire to re-splice it but alas no such luck I was short about 6ft of the 5 wire encased alarm wire, I called Morse to ask them for a splice job explaining about the original installation, They sent two young men here for aprx 15 minutes they spliced the extra wire in I used my wire stapler to attach the wires to the upper walls as they should have been in the first place, and for my trouble here comes a bill for $99.00 I also had to pay my cabinet company extra for them notching out the frame to be sure it would not touch the wires. I pay this alarm company $300.00 a year in advance to monitor. I am dropping them as if they had the plague, this is the worst, short cut install I have ever seen, if any one saw the loose hanging wires running under my sub floor like a bunch of tossed spaghetti. I am sure they would agree.
