I’m a fifth grader in New York City. This game is usually pretty good, but now that is useless since I can’t access it anymore for some reason. My school gives out free iPads for educational use, and they have Minecraft Education as one of the apps on them. Recently the app worked when it was on version 1.18.45 but when the game updated to 1.19.52 it says I have to log in again. I put in my email address, username and password that I use in school like it told me to, but that just takes me to a white screen with a single file that says “nativeclient”. I can’t go any further than that, and now I can’t play Minecraft Education. I tried to delete and re-download the game, but same problem. When I downloaded “nativeclient” into my Files app, it is completely empty, no wonder it says it take up 0 KB of space. Can anyone help me get into the app? :(

don’t suggest getting if ur still in school bro they didn’t let us right? so i hacked into the firewall and got edu but put the firewall back up. A FRICKIN POLICE OFFICER CAME JNTO MY CLASSROOM AND BRUNG ME TO THE DEANS! i got an infraction for having it on my computer + iPhone, iPad, Windows, MacOs, Linux, whatever platform u use, i used it on every platform and it’s absolutely laggy, and i joined somebodies world and the NPC had an IP grab link in its dialog! Edu also allows mods but be careful with the mod su download. if there was a choice to choose -100 stars, i would, but i rated it 2 stars because the performance is horrible but the game itself isn’t THAT bad plus teachers don’t use edu to teach their kids anymore in middle school. there is something called BOOKS that weigh atleast 40 pounds plus a 10 pound computer. Do not recommend getting edu. get at ur own risk!

Well I really like the Minecraft game, but this is different. First of all, none of the new updates in the general Minecraft version appear in this version. Second of all, almost none of the mods and other packs that work in the general version work in this version because when it has special settings to toggle, I can’t toggle them because the settings don’t exist! Last thing is, some of my friends bought accounts on this game, but they can’t join my server because I can’t join multiple servers. I was wondering if you could make it where my parents or teachers can choose the servers I can join with a server code or something? Oh, and one more thing. I REALLY WANT TO BE ABLE TO CHANGE MY PLAYER SIZE FOR ROLEPLAY! please please please please PLEASE add this in!Thank you for reading this!

I downloaded this because I wanted to be able to play Minecraft in a new way. I love the original game, but I was curious what an education-based version of the game would be like.

The first red flag for me was when it didn’t let me log in to my normal Minecraft account, but instead insisted I use my school Microsoft account. The second was when it informed me that I would only be able to play 10 times before my school (which does not use Minecraft Education Edition) would have to ‘purchase a license’.

My question is: Why? Why isn’t there an option to pay for the game like you pay for normal Minecraft, and therefore be able to play with a regular account instead of having your school pay for you. It’s stupid. I know the game is designed for use in a classroom, but there should be an option to use it just for fun.

I do NOT recommend this game to anyone who isn’t using it for school, because you will be unable to play after you play 10 times. Very disappointed with Mojang for this

Minecraft Education Edition. It’s great! Like full Minecraft but better. I love playing with my friends and never miss the opportunity to play. About that though, I’ve been experiencing some issues. Me and my friends were playing for the first time and my friend plays on a pc or a Mac. So he gave me the code and I joined but it kept say unable to connect. At first I thought it was because the game just glitch but I kept trying and it wouldn’t work but the game knew he was on the world. Then I think that’s when I realized that the platform he was playing on (pc/Mac) wasn’t compatible with mine (iPad). Another time this happened was when I decided to play on my pc with another friend and it didn’t work either but it knew she was on. Please fix this unless it’s supposed to be like that. Also, please let people play on phones and console. And one last thing, I think there should be servers and realms, but they’re only for people with office 360 not Xbox players and Java. Thank you and I love Minecraft every single way! Except ripoffs

Minecraft education is really good because you don’t have to collect diamonds and you can get your own golden pickax sword but whenever I try to join my friend server, it says unable to connect, which is weird but I don’t know I really like this game and no I also can play it at school, which is also good. Instructions for people who don’t know how to play: so how to play Minecraft or Minecraft Education Well, for starters, Minecraft Education is kinda like the same thing as Minecraft it’s just that you can get everything even diamond pickaxes and sorts and also you can have treasure boxes and you should get Minecraft Education because I think it’s better than Minecraft so you should end in Minecraft education has everything like everything they have diamonds and miss amethyst shards, and even golden pickaxes or diamond exacts ax
And yeah that’s how you should play Minecraft education. But my one of my friends told me that Minecraft educational is not actually educational. Plus it’s not really well education for Minecraft education some really good game and you should play it.

I love this game. Been playing it since second grade, back in the days of the good ol’ Aquatic Update. I seen this game go through many changes. I’ve spent so many hours on this game, wether I’m testing and playing new Addons or working on a new project. But one thing I do have a problem with is the updates. See I was still in 1.16 when the 1.17 update was out, and by the time 1.18 rolled around, it finally updated. This is the same for 1.19. There is already snapshots for 1.20, but I’m always wondering when Minecraft: Education Edition is going to update. I don’t know why it takes so long. I’m no expert on making games or anything but if you have the files, you could just transfer it right? Or do you have to work on coding the mobs with all the different effects of all the Education Edition items? Either way, I just wish that when you released the updates for Bedrock and Java, you could also release it for Education Edition, because after all, it’s still a version of Minecraft. But overall, I don’t want you guys to take this review negatively, but the game is still very good. I enjoy playing this because it’s free.

Minecraft Edu is amazing. I played my 20 trials but my dad wouldn’t pay for it (I’ll get to that in a sec) I love the camera you should add it to bedrock/Java. The coding is fun maybe add that to switch/Xbox/PS4/PS5/iOS too? Now my suggestions. You should make the $ less a month. Also for those who are homeschooled and can’t really access the game (like me) you should add a homeschool mode that’s less expensive. Also on normal Minecraft: I’ve played most my life (since I was 6 im 13 now) since pocket edition alpha 0.8.0. Or whatever it was in 2014. I got the Wii version not long after then switch edition last year. Then I got Java edition for Christmas last year too let me tell you Minecraft is NUMBER 1! fortnite and roblox are meh. Edit: turns out you can code in bedrock edition! turn on the education toggle on in bedrock edition and boom full education edition! But why code connection not work! you don’t really need to use this for school use. If your school gave you an email for school use you might be able to make an account with the email, but if it doesn’t accept KEEP TRYING. It is very glitchy and takes a few attempts. I can playa Minecraft for free now!

When I play this, it is very fun and impressive for a mobile game! But, here are 2 issues that are driving me insane:

1: entering nether portals. When I enter a nether portal, there is what feels like a 45% chance my screen will be stuck on the “generating terrain” screen and I have to close the app.

2: invisible chunks. If you don’t know what a chunk is, a chunk is a section of Minecraft land (like an acre, a section of earth). Sometimes the chunk will be completely invisible, but mobs and players can walk on it. This can happen in the nether, too.

3: I have an idea why this is a thing, but just for anyone reading, there is no music. Unlike the other editions, there is no music from C148, so if you are playing survival, DO NOT create a juke box. The discs do not work.

That is pretty much the worst parts, but take note that it is not updated past the ocean update. There is no Netherite, bastions, piglins, warped forests, and basically anything past the ocean update is not there.

i know 2 stars sounds harsh, so i'm going to say some good stuff first. i like playing the game because it's fun and free.
recently, i have found a problem where i can't even get into my own world without the screen just being frozen on "loading resources". there is no loading bar for that, so i can never know how much progress the game is making "loading the resources". by experience, i know that waiting does not work, even if i exit and reopen the app. this is a crucial problem that needs to be fixed.
now before that cropped up, i could actually play. but in all of my survival worlds, there'd always be a lot a lot of hostile mobs. i have the gamemode set to easy and there is still a lot. unlike the real minecraft which i've played a couple times at my friend's home, this minecraft makes going out at nighttime nearly impossible, because you'll end up getting swarmed by hostile mobs. traveling in water is an even bigger concern. the drowned spawn rate i find is way too high. go underwater, and there will be at least three drowneds waiting for you. i know the other hostile mob spawn rates are really high too, but drowneds simply spawn way too often. also, i think that the sheep spawn rate is a little low, because unlike a normal gamer, i have to spend an unreasonably long portion of day 1 just searching for sheep to kill and get wool from which is immensely annoying. i hope you can fix this too.

Alright, I’m in no way qualified to talk about this game, but I believe a few major changes are needed.

Minecraft is such a good game, and it’s a wonder why Microsoft isn’t capitalizing off of this version, and instead opting for taking schools’s cash via Office 365 accounts. Charging on the App Store instead (for I don’t know... $50-75? School could use one account to download on every device.) Making the game more accessible to non-students will make a lot more bank for good old Billy G. Removing the Office 365 gimmick will be better for everyone.

I suggest (and remember, I’m not a game dev or businessman) that they replace Office 365 with basic Xbox accounts or Microsoft Accounts to make the game as accessible as possible. Add a drop-down list of schools to pick from with a “homeschooled” or “self-taught option”

To prevent unauthorized people from entering school servers they aren’t supposed to, add an authorization code. That way, school servers can remain secure while non-students or students that don’t have Office 365 accounts can still play the game.

All in all, a solid experience. Would give a perfect 5 if it weren’t for that nagging Office 365 problem. I managed to log in through a classroom that has been leaked. Gotta fix that.

Microsoft should also add third party support (things like Plug and Pocketmine) and add Education Edition items to Bedrock to encourage more people to play.

So you’re wondering why I wanted to play this game. Well the answer is shown here!
It was because I first got it on Windows 10. And from that moment when I found this app after my parents paid for the original Minecraft, I noticed that mobile Minecraft was only $6.99, while the Windows 10 edition of it was like $26.99! I JAVE NO IDEA WHY IT WOULD BE THAT EXPENSIVE! BECAUSE ONLY THIS VERSION OF MINECRAFT WAS FREE! I wanted this game because you already have not knew yet, but fine. I’ll tell you! I never downloaded it for school only. I wanted it just to see if I can try to get through the steps do coding and all that stuff! With my own agent, I can get this to work. However, in Windows 10, you might have to press / and type /code or you can press c!
In this version on mobile, you can tap the agent icon, which I really like that you added it! My new cool PC(Runs Windows 10) supports tapping, so I can do both of these(I can only Choose one to summon my agent) to begin. I did go to a Minecraft camp to play this game on PC for the first time! Now this is my first time playing this one! Now I have a suggestion for the next update. What if you added this new command that can remove everyone’s agent while playing in multiplayer?(Tip: you can add this by making a new command that has this input: /kill @v(All agents, which is only in the tutorial!) and remember, the line of code can be made for this input of the command(removing everyone’s agents in multiplayer!) Can you add this please and maybe I will call this game official Minecraft Education Edition!

Okay, I know that a lot of game designers do not respond to reviews, but I truly need help. Here’s a little bit about the game:

Minecraft Edu is NOT just a free version of Minecraft, it’s for education purposes, hence the name. It doesn’t have as many features, like true super flat worlds, or hardcore mode. You cant join online worlds or have mods. There are no customizable skins or anything like that. But it does have some features that are not included in the actual game. Certain items, that underwater tnt, and that it’s exclusive to education. You can defeat the enderdragon, build farms, mobs spawn. It’s all the same. Sure, it doesn’t get updated as much as the game, but it’ll catch up.

So I recently just updated the game and I was very excited to play. But when I tried to get on the game, it gave me an error code. I was very confused and thought, “well since I’m on a school account, maybe the school blocked it.” But that’s not the case. I kept trying, and it kept giving me and error code. I looked at the reviews, and turns out, a lot of people have been experiencing the same difficulty. The game won’t let me sign in, and it’s incredibly frustrating. Since I’m playing on mobile, I have no backup drive. I built amazing, amazing things on my worlds, and defeated the enderdragon on one of them, for the first time. But now I’ll never be able to get back to my world.

I honestly didn’t know how to rate this. I love Minecraft Edu, but I am angry at the situation. Mojang, please. Help. I don’t know how, but find a way. I want to play my worlds, but I can’t.

Hi I really love this game and I have a few suggestions:

Maybe you can add dragons and make them REALLY rare and for the breeding add dragon fruits (they grow on cacti) and make it so when they breed there will be a small chance for an baby dragon/dragon egg to spawn and also sometimes the egg will rot if you don’t take care of it or if the parents aren’t there and the egg will turn green and also you can add Unicrons Pegasus and Pegacorns (horses with both horns and wings) and make them spawn in a sky like biome that only appears in the sky or the mountains in the sky and possibly held up by clouds and maybe there will be villages with chests that have cake that you can breed the unicorns Pegasus and pegacorns with and make it so sometimes the unicorns Pegasus and Pegacorns don’t sometimes have babies and for the dragons maybe make them spawn in the end cities or the nether but trapped in dungeons or end dungeons and when you do find one when you get close to the dragon it will sometimes fly away and if threatened can shoot fire or soul fire at you and make it so you can tame it and possibly ride it and maybe add Ogres and for the chests in the sky biome make it possible (but very rare) for it to have dragon fruit or even dragon eggs and the cacti make it also spawn in the sky biome but you cant really grow it. But done with the suggestions this game has become one of my favorites and I don’t really have a problem of the not-getting-onto-people’s-server thing so I have no idea what that is all about but I really hope you can add these mobs and that they will soon be on Minecraft soil I think the suggestions that I made can make a good add to the game and make a good adventure.

This app seems cool but I have to sign into my Microsoft account and I don’t have one and if I create one it always tells me that I have to unblock it because someone used it. So I did not get farther then “sign into your Microsoft account”.
So technically I have no idea if this app is good or bad but so far it’s bad.

I think people would enjoy this is it hadn’t had a “School Code” to get in. I saw a review on somebody that was homeschooled and NEVER went to a school. EVER. And for some other people, like me who don’t have or don’t remember the school code. I am asking just PLEASE remove the school code. This review WOULD be better. Thanks,

First why do have to sign in to your freaking school account why can’t just sign into my normal Minecraft account I got this app because of the features like the camera. I know you have education edition on the original Minecraft PE but it doesn’t have the camera or the chalkboard only chemistry which I don’t even know a lot if you can make so I can sign into my normal Minecraft account that would be great.

Now I love Minecraft i used to have it on my iPad but unfortunately it got deleted and I can’t get it back because now I have to pay again The I saw Minecraft education edition I was like cool a version of Minecraft I can play again but I can’t use my office 365 education account because I’m not allowed to. I love to experiment around with this on bedrock but I never really can do it here on iOS only on my consoles (and PC) so please make it so anyone can use it or ad the whole thing to console and pc (ps I’m not even accessible to the main menu screen look at that!)

Ok so You might think that I dislike the game but I wouldn’t know because of the account I’m able to do the first sign in but why do I have to make a second account after I just typed in the first account so what if you made it so you only typed in your first account and then it would be like normal Minecraft but you have to type in the account every single time you want to play and every time you want to play you have to verify if your playing at school or not because  Education Edition is a very fun game but a lot of people just want to teach Thea selves especially home school kids

So I downloaded this app recently because my Minecraft app is not working and is glitching me out every time i try to get into the app so i thought this would be just as fun but for education. I tap on sign in and put all the correct details then when i tap on sign in it says “No Internet Try Again” Or something and i feel like your doing this on purpose my internet is fine! And why isn’t my normal Minecraft Working! I go in the app it starts loading freezes then glitches out of the game. Or I go in the app and it freezes and if i reload it just does it again! Please fix this it bothers me so much thanks.

this game is crappy. Horrible, worst “game” on the internet. I would like to hear response from you because mye sun is homeschooold and I’m teaching him English and speling through the text on the scren we ar fuly fleged american and he needs helps speling. The problem is the only words we can praktise is please, sign, in, with, your, school, account, to, play, Minecraft, egucaten, (sorry that’s a hard one), and edition. My eighth grader really needs some help speling so can you maybe give me a list of words so we can help him spel. How do I use this?! I’m just homeschooled! I never ever went to any school. NEVER. So ehhhhhhhhh plus, I’m a full user and a found a glitch there where you get a spawn egg for a camera using an addon that doesn’t add cameras?! But, lol it doesn’t actually work. I can’t review that on normal Minecraft because it said I don’t have the game. BUT I DO. I played since 2014! So I don’t understand why I can’t write a review there. Sorry I couldn’t review the camera thing on a Minecraft review. NORMAL minecraft review. Students are not the only ones who would be interested in using this edition of Minecraft. I would be interested in obtaining a reasonably priced individual license of this software, but unfortunately none is available. I am not a student or affiliated with any school.

In your initial reply to my post you said that the student edition is good for students and that the regular edition is good for other people. I have the regular edition. Is there a way to experiment with coding in the regular edition? What about exploring the chemistry options. Individuals should have the freedom to choose which version they want to use. As long a Microsoft and Mojang receive sustainable profits, why should they object to this?

When I first went on it you have to have a school login to play otherwise your stuck doing something that you can’t actually do.

So I get my school login which was very very hard to get and then I see featured worlds I try to go on it and it won’t let me it says somethings wrong and I already have good internet.

Well sometimes it’s good but it’s not that exiting when you can’t use the featured worlds I really think you need to fix it otherwise there’s no point in it I would be likely to play on normal Minecraft if this keeps happening and anyway on normal Minecraft this never happens paying the 9$ or whatever is a good use of money for normal Minecraft. And Minecraft education hasn’t even updated there stuff.

I’d just say it needs a bit more improvements

I thought this would be a fun game but it’s not to me... first of all, I ALWAYS have sign up issues and I wanted to play really bad but I can’t and I don’t know my school user I’d or something it’s not fair that you HAVE to be a student and I’m a student and I can’t even play.. I wish it would be easier to sign up.. I don’t have a email yet it’s not fair and I tried a lot and I still can’t play I’m so angry I can’t play games that look fun because of something ALWAYS gets in the way :( I can’t have at least one chance of getting to play a fun game without sign up issues it would’ve probably be fun and better if I didn’t have to sign up... without an email roblox's and msp’s is way better you should change up the sign up thing and make it more simple instead of it being difficult and just let it be a username and password :/
