This guy talks a GREAT game. Promises so much. I was charged $6, 500. for the coaching program. After my credit card was charged twice! I never heard from Mike or his sleezyfast talking over promising brother again.

These people are con artists and thieves. He has all these hyped up calls. Call his office, it's a shell with no one there.

I have spoke to several people now who have been ripped off.

Ask him to put it in writing. I promise, he will GIVE YOU NOTHING.

He is going to Jail. THIEF!

Kudos to Mike Litman for his attention to this board! I'd like to say that his close monitoring of this board is further evidence to me that he is not a scamer, he's a guy with integrity and a positive message trying to run a business and address issues raised by the consumers. Out of curiosity, I opened and tracked a few other threads about other products/companies on this site - I did not see responses from anyone from the company in question. Mike Litman contacted me within minutes of my posting here and is in the process of addressing the situation right now. I am most appreciative of his concern and his speedy response. Per my previous post, I sure there was just some kind of mix up while I was away.

Hi Mike:
You had responded to my post here in April and contacted me personally via email about my Greatness Nation account. I have been out of the country for several weeks without email access. I now can't access the contact email account I set up for this board, so I can't access your email address. You responded to my post here (see your response below, see my original post on this board - from swr) and you sent me two emails about my account in early April. You may have tried to reach me again while I was away, but I discovered upon my return that I was charged again for Greatness. Please contact me at the new email I've provided (note, I changed my screen name here from swr to sxr so I could use a different email address). I had not contacted my credit card company before leaving because you had contacted me immediately after I posted here, which I very much appreciate. I tried to reach you via the support team - they contacted me once a week ago, but as the payment period is fast-approaching, I didn't want to wait any longer. I'm assuming it's just some kind of mix up.
Thank you
SXR (formerly SWR on this board)

Comment from 2008. Here is what I have found over the past year.

Everyone has different experiences – in life, with family, working and with Coaches. Spring 2009, a friend told me about Total Coach and Mike Litman’s passion. So, even with more than 40 years of experience, I was encouraged and pushed by Mike to get going and I signed up. Nothing is ever perfect, but what Total Coach was able to accomplish for me is to get off my comfortable recliner. Web sites, blogs, tweets and writing was not a problem for me as I brought those skills with me. My collaboration with Total Coach helped me assemble my personal jigsaw puzzle and get me focused to do what I could with what I had.

As an alumni, I do not regret my time as a member. I met and am still connected with some good people, including Mike and Brian. Things are what they are. If you need a lifeline, some direction and encouragement, assess, consider and decide. It is always about what works for you.

Mike Litman called me personally and was polite and professional.

I'm happy to state my issue is being resolved and as things improve financially for me, I will revisit the possibility of joining Total Coach.

I feel that Mike Litman's heart is in the right place and during the different phases of building a successful company, things happen, as there will always be a few glitches here and there, but he's doing his damnest to work them out.

I wish him all the best.

I've kept sending email after email to cancel my subscription with Total Coach.
Radhika, originally responded to me and said it would be taken care of, but it never was.
Finally, I had to dispute and challenge the charges on my credit card.

When I tried to ask for my domain name to be transferred back to GoDaddy...NO RESPONSE.
I finally got a number to Brian Litman (Mike Litman's brother) but he doesn't return phone calls.

Any ideas on how I can get my domain name back from being held HOSTAGE by the Litmans?
Please email me at djxanthin@yahoo.com Thanks!

My issue with Mike Litman has been finally straightened out. I received a full refund for 2 unauthorized charges promptly. I also received a CD I ordered, however after over a month from my cc charge and my reminder (charged 3/13, posted 4/14, received 4/27). I would definitely not call Mike Litman a scam. After contacting him here, I received a courteous and professional response and he got everything taken care of for me. However, I find his selling techniques highly doubtful, as so many people feel that they'd been taken in.

Hey Mike
The same thing happened to me. I signed on for the 2-week trial and didn't realize when I gave my credit card that I was authorizing future payment. I agree that if that information was indicated in the materials, then I should have read it more carefully. But I too assumed incorrectly that I would get some kind of reminder and not be charged beyond the initial $5 unless I got a separate notice. And now I see that I have two $97 credit card charges Jan and Feb and I can only assume that I'll see one for March for something I have never used. Ouch. I have been out of town and busy and have not used the Greatness Nation site or the conferences at all since the first week of the trial. From your daily emails that found me last year and from the original GN invite, I felt you had a very positive message and I got the sense that you have a lot of integrity -- that's what initially drew me to the materials. So I really don't believe that you set this up to scam people or intended to cash in from the expectation that people are busy and either don't realize they have to send an email to cancel or they forget to cancel. That just seems antithetical to your messaging, and I can't imagine that you want people who are not participating in any way to be charged or unhappy. Because there are so many unscrupulous companies out there that do scam, I think an inquiry from your company asking if one wants to continue with the program post-trial would be a better practice than automatically charging without a reminder. That seems fair --especially since it seems from this board that there are many who've had similar misunderstandings about the payment policies-so it makes sense to keep everyone well informed and make the payment policy information as user-friendly and frequent as the Web conference reminders. I think it would be mutually beneficial as well. I had no idea how to get in touch with you to address this. When I put just your name into the Google search box, the drop down menu included the words "Mike Litman Complaints" and "Mike Litman Scam." I am shocked and disheartened because last year when I got a few emails from you, I thought they were upbeat and enlightened and passed a few along to friends -- your message did not in any way seem like something shady. You seem like an honest and decent guy, and I don't believe those words should not be associated with your name. Please let me know next steps and how to contact you or your company. I'm sure the program is great, and I'm happy to recommend it to others, but it's not the right fit for me and I don't want to be charged for something I haven't used. Thanks.

Mike, I would like to thank you for following up on my above posting. I feel confident that you will cancel any further mailings and charges to my visa and am appreciative that you have issued a credit for the last charge. This has taught me to be much more aware of any purchases that I make online - I have never experienced this before. Take care,

Hiram,

I'd just like to comment on your post.

No business is perfect, including mine. We've made our share of errors over the last 10 years.

I would like to say they're 2 sides to every situation.

Some of the recent posts here say they were charged without authorization which isn't true.

On every page that offers additional training we very clearly tell people what they're purchasing.

It seems like on many of these sites the fault is always with the company and the customer has 0% responsibility for what they purchased.

I guess that's just how it is.

Hiram, thanks for your kind comments about my information and I wish you great success.

Karen,

Many of this issues here are very similiar...

When we offered the book, we gave people a free 30 day subscription to additional training.

It seems like you missed it in the sales material. That's my fault.

I'm emailing you through this system and we'll get this taken care of immediately.

Sorry for the confusion.

vijay10,

We have a 7 day trial and we clearly say we do on all the information.

You wrote "I was taken aback they have again charged my card for US$ 97 earler this week without any authorisation."

When you enrolled into the program it said if you don't cancel, you become a member for $97 a month.

You could have emailed us or cancelled right inside the program.

I am emailing you personally my email address through this system and we'll help you cancel your account immediately.

I've had similar experience with Mike Litman. I've decided to order a "free" CD (agreed for the payment of $11.95 for shipping & handling). I gave my credit card details and after that my credit card was debited 2 more times without my authorization! I did not want to buy any other products. There was no order form and I was not asked to authorize it! My card was debited for $47 and $111.95 and the order form was displayed after the money had been taken without my authorization !

Ok Mike - if you are out there somewhere, I find myself in the same bind as many other people here. I purchased your Conversations with Millionaires book in January and have now been dinged monthly charges to my visa for a monthly program I did not sign up for and do not want. I have a complaint into Visa now - they will refuse any further payments from your company because I can not get any response back from your company. Check Ticket #274 which has received no response.

I agree with the comments on board. I just have participated in one of his free programme named GREATNESS NATION for four weeks. They asked to send a free CD with postage to be paid for about USD6. They charged my credit card last month. The programme is over this week. I was taken aback they have again charged my card for US$ 97 earler this week without any authorisation. I hve no phone number to contact him. email to customer support has not been replied to my complaint even till date. can any one advise me where to lodge a complaint. I am from India

In regards to the coaching... well I can't say since I haven't enrolled, that's why I got into this site in the first place, to do some research, but everything else Mike teaches is excellent, the putting in practice and what are you putting into practice to make the money, is the other side of the coin. I have the what to do and how to do it, all I need is the doing, thus the coaching program, guess have to go elsewhere for this. Sorry Mike.

I've had a similar experience with Mike Litman. Sent off for a free book for which I only had to pay P&P for in early December. A week ago £20.56 was debited from my account which took me into my overdraft. I've tried to contact his organisation but have had no response and have now asked my bank to take it up because I don't know how else to contact him. Sharp practice!

Mike Litman just called me (about 2 minutes after I sent him a message to his account on this board) and let me know what happened. Seems there was an offer on the page where I signed up for the free CD which automatically enrolled me in a program. He and his staff decided on their own that since people hadn't seen the offer clearly, they would reverse all charges.

His response was courteous, professional, and has restored my faith in him.

Thanks Mike!

I paid something like $5 shipping to have a motivational CD mailed to me "FREE" a few weeks ago. This morning I looked at my bank account and see that on 09/29/2009 Mike Litman hit my account again for $25.90 for "training". The charges then show as reversed the very next day. Problem is, he got me to within a few cents of being overdrawn, which would have cost me $35 minimum!

Does anyone have legitimate contact info for this guy so I can make contact and demand that all my banking info be removed from his database?

We had a coaching program that we haven't offered in over 2 years.

We had many happy clients, though some people were dissatisfied.

I'd be happy to get on the phone with anyone that wasn't satisfied and see how I can help.

Please email me and we'll find a good time to connect.

Mike Litman, in April of 2007, I paid you $4, 000. After two coaching sessions, you "disappeared". I'd like to connect to receive a refund on the $4, 000.
Thank you.

Sounds like I got a better deal out of Mike Litman than the rest of you posting a complaint here did. Still, I am disappointed in my overall outcome.

Three years ago I said yes to Mike's persuasive marketing skills in being able to provide me with a lucrative stream of income. I was, like 'goldstalk', going through a vulnerable phase in my life. Divorce.

I was interviewed, and apparently passed the test in being worth their time and effort. Initially I paid $3, 200.00 to get this thing off the ground. Six months later, I expressed my unhappiness about how it was all going. I was told if I was really serious about turning it into more than just a sounding board for my passion, then I would have to pay for more coaching to turn it into a good source of income. That was another $2, 500.00. So I invested $5700.00 total.

I did have a good coach for about 1 year. Then I was assigned another guy that wasn't all that great. He worked with me for about a year, and I haven't heard from him in a year. Can't even get in touch with him anymore. His email is still valid, but his inbox is always full.

I can get no response from Litman either. I have made less than $100.00 dollars off my initial investment in three years, so far. But, I am still hopeful and searching for another service to help make what I consider myself lucky to have better and work for me. Considering how hard I have worked at it.

I am starting to understand a few things about marketing what I have to offer. I was told that you don't need any special computer skills to do this. That may to be true, but you do need to know something about uploading files to a web page (FTP) and I do not know how to do technical stuff like that. It was done for me for the first two years I bought into this deal, and was told not to worry about stuff like that. It was only important for me to continue to write.

Now that I have been left to fend for myself, I realize that there are some critical things I do need to know about doing this, if I am going to continue, that someone else was doing for me.

Has anyone ever heard the saying, "it takes a village to help raise a child"? Well, it seems to take a village to help put up a reputable web site too.

I lost $5000! They took advantage of my vulnerability when my 19 year old son died in a car accident. Mike Litman and his cronies added insult and injury to an already injured soul...

They actually hooked me up with a "coach" - I had to make long distance calls to Canada to listen to some fast talker give me some vague points on how to bring out the author in me... There were homework assignments I didn't understand and he wouldn't take the time to work with me. When I asked for my money back, he said it was out of his hands - he took me on as a favor to Mike Litman.

I was the dummy, I admit, looking back. I could have taken that $5000 to a REAL coach in my area - who would have helped me progress through my grief and become someone with a CAN DO attitude.

This fast talking con artist is SLIME. I gave him $6, 000. for coaching and they never call me back. He sent me a recorded call and the guy that was suppose to help me said that he no longer works for Mike because of all the complaints and told me good luck trying to get my money.

My husbands hiring and attorney and it seems that these slime balls, Mike and his sleezy brother, have ripped lots of people off for millions of dollars.

I spoke to several other people who have had NOTHING but bad experiences from these criminals.

RUN don't walk away from anything these sleezy hype artists do!
