We have a life insurance policy owned in an irrevocable life insurance trust that was purchased in 2001. Since that time has disposed of its life insurance business and my agent has sold his book of business in the last year. It took numerous phone calls to receive the 1/31/2023 statement in late August 2023 when we discovered that the policy was about to lapse. For some unknown and unexplained reason Met policyholders are unable to set an online account to pay premiums or retrieve statements. It has now been over 2 weeks since a payment was mailed to Met - apparently there is no way to pay a premium in person and even stranger our banking online payment system mails physical checks rather than do a 1 day ACH payment like all other insurance companies I work with personally or professionally. The payment was mailed to the address on record which turns out to be incorrect. I was assured that the payment would be correctly routed from Pittsburgh, PA to Charlotte, NC. Checking with both Met and the bank has gotten nowhere although for transparency 1 person has been somewhat helpful. Last week I wrote through a tracking email I use to both the CEO and CFO - Michel Khalaf and John McCallion respectively and have not heard back or even received an acknowledgment from either or their underlings.

Desired outcome: 1) I need a different mechanism to get these funds already withdrawn form my bank account to Met for account crediting,2) I need an explanation as to why trust accounts are unable to have online accounts, and3) I want a formal apology
