Ordered 8.1 update for Adobe Acrobat Reader from Adobe website which proved incompatible with my operating system. Cost $66.74. Adobe has no record of my purchase. Order confirmation received from mbcontact.com, not Adobe.

Seems that Adobe website has been compromised by mbcontact.com. Incompatible software caused dysfunction of my PC. 30 June 2008.

This company will infect your computer with a virus and then send pop ups possing a well know virus protection suppliers like AVG and Norton.
If you do manage to get onto a real web site for a virus protection supplier when you go to the check out MBcontacts jumps inbetween and your money goes to them.

The also charge you for support on popular shareware products by getting between you and the down load access.

I have had to change my credit card because of these guys.

I filled in part of a form, trying to purchase Antispyware, but on page 1 the amount was $39.99, on clicking to page 2, the amount had been converted, to $49.98. This was too expensive, so I did not complete that page, clicking on cancel. However my Bank paid out $94.99 on a demand from MBcontact some time later, although I did not have any goods to show for this, no disc, no download, Since then, there have been three further claims on my Credit Card, which my Bank is now opposing on the grounds of no goods being sent.

On 5th October 2008 I went onto what I thought was the official Nero site (Nero.UK-SOFTWARE.com) to download CD & DVD Burning software. When it came to the point of making my payment (of £33.68) I was redirected to a site which now turns out to be MBCONTACT.COM. I paid by Visa & printed off my receipt that had an email address on it i.e. software@suporthelp.net. I did not receive the email, as promised, with downloading instructions. In the past 24 hours I have twice emailed the address on the receipt and twice received replies giving instructions on downloading the software both with diferent wesite addresses and both of which are phoney addresses. I have contacted the original Nero.UK-SOFTWARE help desk who say they have no record of me. Clearly I have been the subject of a scam. My bank say they can't do anything and can't stop payment but advised me to contact Trading Standards which I have done and will pursue the matter.

I've been chasing these people since 26/10/08 when my credit card was debited for $87.60 from MB Contact. I was happy to pay $11 for something and they billed me $88.! Since then I tried phones, emails, different addresses etc. and now I can't even SEND the emails or make it through to their links. They've done something to my computer . . like stolen all my info perhaps, who knows? I want to get my money back for a start. Any help at all I can be, any help you can give me - let's do it. Appreciate any assistance whatsoever.

I was going to buy AVG anti virus software. I provided my card details but changed my mind and stopped the transaction before when it got to the visa verification part ie the payment shouldn't have gone through. I got an email from MBcontact.com saying the transaction had gone through and payment would be taken. Numerous emails later - I got nowhere. I rang AVG themselves and they confirmed that MBcontact are a rogue website. I've reported them to my bank and they are now in the process of investigating the payment! After finding out they were rogues I googled them and found hundreds of complains. Google should ban them.

I thought I was on the website for spybot, but found out I was on MBCONTACT.COM after trying to download security software. Well, unfortunately, I realized was wrong after paying with my credit card. Lucky for me, I printed a receipt, googled MBCONTACT, got an 866 number and called. After questioning the operator (Sophia Anderson) I found out I hadn'let t paid for Spybot and still don't know what I purchased. Sophia was tough and didn't want to give any info - but I was able to learn I would get a refund in 4 to 10 days, MBCONTACT works for themselves, and asked me if I wanted to buy spybot. What was going on, I don't know, but hope it wasn't some scam!

I recived my bank statement on 20th march 2009 and found that a company called mbcontacts had took £33.65p out of my account. I had no idea of who they were or why they took the money. So futher to some investigation i found out they got my details when I signed up for itunes 8 on there website. The charge they was offering was total acsess for 3 years for £7.95. I was half way through filling in the details and decided to abort. i didnt even finish the forms. I am now worried that they can take money out of my account whenever they want, so I phoned the bank and they were able to confirm this.

Mbcontact not only spoof you and scoop you from trusted sites on the internet, but installed a spyware device to steal your identity as well. They claim they are a billing company only for many companies all over the world. Can you imagine the amount of rip offs they are doing daily? I have started a telephoning campaign to their [protected] number, can you please do the same until your money is refunded and your identity is restored.

they took money out of my bank account through my debit card. i never ok'd it. i was filling out the information when i realized it wasn't what i was looking for. so i clicked out without finishing. evidently they had enough infomation to go ahead and take my money. it was $30.00. not a lot of money to some, but people on fixed income, it hurts.

Signed up for 3 yrs unlimited support for $49.96 for open-office suite 3. Links didn't work and when I tried to contact Mbcontacts billing services, all I got was the same ### recording, by verbatim. I called the phone number multiple times at different times of the day and the message was always the same with now answer.

Tried to download music match and found myself on mbcontact which charged my credit card $34.00 u.s. I haven't even an idea of what this is, if anything, but it is certainly not the service to which I believed I was subscribing.

Even more annoying, I am caller number 38 on their waitlist to speak to customer service to undo this charge!

On the AVG website I was ordering an anti-virus package and at the payment stage I gave card details for the sum of 26 GBP but a firm called MBCONTACT.COM interceded and took the payment. AGV did not do a download so I have nothing to show for my money. The e-mail contact given for MBCONTACT is spurious.

I received my master card statement and noticed that $35.01US had been taken out. I looked up the name mbcontact and noticed that this company has a history of taking money from peoples bank accounts, usually promising that they will provide a computer spybot type of service which they never do. I did'nt request this service and will contact my bank to see what is going on. J White Ballina Australia

wow. saw a $35 charge on my credit card. called the phone number. pushed 1 for billing support. "can't leave a message - it's full" (i'll bet). other numbers say, "see website." later i called again and this time got a guy in india claiming to work for snapstorm holdings, which handles billing for mbcontact.com i asked for his boss and he wouldn't let me. he alleged that he refunded my money and after several demands for same, gave me a "confirmation code." i suspect strongly that the ripoff won't come.

When I googled itunes.com this site came up. I paid them for a three year contract with itunes and I didn't get anything in return. When I contacted itunes for customer support, they told me this was a fradulent company. You don't know you're dealing with MBContact until after you pay your money. You think you are dealing with itunes.

Hi

I too was the victim of an MBContact scam in December. I agreed to download I-Tunes for my daughter in anticipation of her I-Pod for Christmas. We clicked on the site at the top of Google for I-Tunes, followed through the form and it came up with the option of a 3-year membership with unlimited free downloads for £33.62 GBP.

I stupidly gave my debit card details and it came up as confirmed. It was when it did not link in properly with I-Tunes and Apple my fears that I had been conned became realised. I contacted I-Tunes direct who told me that they do not do 3-year or any other such deals. They only provide downloads per tune requested. They told me I had been the victim of a fraud and they said they would notify Apple. I immediately cancelled my debit card. However, it was too late to stop the payment. I will never do online debit card transactions again after this. I have learned a bitter lesson.

A friend showed me that what distinguished the site on Google we had clicked on was that there was a capital A in the Apple bit when others had it in lower case. This is something we had not checked. When a site is high up on Google, it is easy for anyone to be caught. With all these complaints about MbcONTACT, why have Google not shut down this site?

I likewise have tried contacting MbContact to try and get my money back for a service they did not provide, and you can guess: they have not responded to my request. Where are these guys based? What jurisdiction do they come under?

My daughter got an ipod for Christmas. Christmas night I went under google to look for itunes. I went to the 1st web address b/c that is usaully the main one. I paid 50.00 for a 3year vip membership to download free music. They emailed me and gave me a username and password. I then went to a membership page. I typed in the user id and password and was told it was stopped for security reasons. After attempting for several days and also speaking with the "real" itunes, I called mbcontact to find out the name of the business that my charge was made to. They would never answer the guestion but told me that I would get an email in 15 minutes with what I needed to know. I got no email and called them the next day. I was caller number 35 and when I got to number 1, I was put on voice mail. I left them A not so nice message. They were suppose to call back in 24hours. They did not. I called them back. They said they were going to send me an email. I told them that they told me that yesterday. They assured me I would get one this time. I asked them again for the name of the company and a phone number and they said there was no phone number. I hung up and called the local FBI office. Mbcontact is supposed to be a billing company. I guess they are not. My bank told me that they were located in the Netherlands. Oh, by the way, I could never fingd their web site again.

I object to these free downloads that after they run on your computer and find many problems then they tell you that for $29.95 or above they will garantee a fix if you sign up for their unlock number and pay their price! I guess the thing to do is start off with the Better Business Bureau and forget about contacting the software people prior.

I just got scammed by MBCONTACT.COM. I just bought my first iPod and went online to download itunes and did a Google search on the phrase "itunes download" and clicked on a link that took me to a web page that gave every indication of being an Apple site. As I know now it wasn't. When I told my son about buying iTunes he immediately became suspicious and did a search on MBCONTACT.COM and of course as you all know there are plenty of complaints about them on the net. I immediately called my credit card company and reported it as a fraudulent transaction and canceled that card.

I practicly begged my credit card company to cut MBCONTACT.COM off at the wallet and not allow them VISA transactions but I'm not sure I got anywhere. I can't understand now these criminals are able to continue doing this when there are so many victims complaining about them.

I bought a service involving movie downloads, but when I received an email, verifying the order, from mbcontact.com--someone I'd never heard of--I tried to cancel the order. However, I got no response, and the charge has showed up on my credit card statement. I am going to ask the CC company to disallow the charge and see if that will smoke them out. BTW, their web address doesn't work. I haven't tried their phone number; didn't know there was one.

Has anybody gotten their money back from this place? I just talked to them and they assured me my money would be back in my account within 24 hours. I told them I thought I was having to sign up for Itunes (I am a senior citz. and didn't know I didn't have to pay a fee) and just before it went through I realized that it was not Itunes so I hit cancel and it went through anyway. I wrote two emails to them right away and both came back as if I had asked for downloading instructions, canned response I guess. So I called the number the poster listed above and was told that they cancelled it and would send me a confirmation and put my money back in my account. I do not understand how they get away with this stuff. If I don't get it back within 24 hours I am going to close my bank account (this particular account hardly ever has much money in it anyway) and file a dispute. What a bunch of hooie... anybody get their money back at all?

I was directed to this site in error and placed an order for what I thought was a legitimate software service subscription. I was contacted by my credit card company stating that a suspsect charge had been placed by an organization based in The Netherlands. The charge was denied. Beware of this fraud!
