Derek and his boys did a remarkable job. I had a large limb down from a storm after already having a quote and appointment scheduled for yearly trimming, and he did not charge extra! Plus, the quote was very reasonable to begin with. Derek explained everything for each tree and checked with me for satisfaction before leaving. The crew was kind and respectful and they did a very good job of cleaning up as well. This was a great experience and I would highly recommend Lumberjack Tree Service I will be contacting them again when I need future pruning.

From a recommendation I saw last year on the local community Facebook group, I called Derek, owner of Lumberjack Tree Service, to get an estimate to prune/clean/thin all trees in the front yard and trim/shape a tree in the back yard. He explained in detail what each tree needed and gave a very competitive quote. His crew completed all the work and clean-up in under an hour and Derek gave me a follow-up call shortly after to ensure everything was done to my satisfaction. Definitely recommend giving these guys a call if you need any tree work done in your yard.

I used Derek for removing 5 tree stumps in a tricky location between my pool and fence. After reaching out to Derek, he called me within an hour, was out at my location within a day to give me a quote and removed the tree stumps within a week. Derek and his team kept me up to date on when they would be here, when they arrived and called to make sure everything meet my expectations. I can't recommend this company enough! I will be using their services for all my work that I need done. Don't waste time with anyone else. Call Derek and team first! You won't be disappointed!

Lumberjack Tree Service contacted me right away about removing a tree on a rental property I own in Dallas, which was nice. They sent someone right away to check the tree and give me an estimate, this was especially helpful as I was unaware that the tree had split and part of it of sitting on the neighbor's house. Everyone was VERY helpful, nice, respectful and professional in all their dealings with me. I was quoted a VERY fair price and the work was done immediately and I am completely satisfied with their service. I would HIGHLY recommend and would definitely call them again should I have any other tree problems.

WOW! Had a chunk of our Bradford tree come down after a hard storm and called Dereck from Lumberjack. We were concerned because it was forecast to rain again the next evening and Dereck along with three other young men came out the SAME day and removed the limbs from our fence and thinned out the rest so that it could survive the coming storm. We have used them in the past for our other trees and scheduled appointments, but we were REALLY grateful they made time to come out so quickly without the appointment and handle the situation. Very glad to write this review and EXTREMELY confident in recommending the company.

Excellent service, came and looked at job, started immediatlely. I had 2 trees cut down, A red oak and an Ash tree that was the equivalent of 3. The stump was almost 6' in diamater. It hung over my house, the house next door, and all over the back yard. Price was best I found out of 3 estimates. The stump of he large tree was ground down 18", it was so huge. The tree had left a big hole in the fence from growing out over the many years it was there. The even stayed to help me fix the fence so the dog would not get out. I highly recommend Lumberjack tree service. I will have them back soon to do some pruning on the rest of my trees.

Derek and his crew do great work - highly recommend! Lumberjack has completed several jobs for us over the years (from pruning to tree removal/stump grinding) and we have been consistently pleased with the results. Estimates are accurate, employees are courteous and professional, and the quality of the work and clean-up are excellent. Our most recent job involved pruning several large shrubs surrounding our pool: the crew arrived on time, completed the job within an hour, and even skimmed the pool for the small debris that had escaped their drop cloths. AND the job was finished within 24 hours of my initial call for an estimate. Great service!

A big chunk of my 45 year old tree fell in my front yard. Thankfully it did not hit anything but it was a huge part of the tree and was almost to the street. I called them and Derek, the owner, came out Monday morning and gave me a bid that was a great price. His team came when he said they would come and they cut it down quickly and took all of the pieces to dispose of. He also looked at all my trees and gave me great insight to what they need and if they were diseased, etc. I would recommend Derek to anyone. This is the third time I have used Derek and his company and they always have the best quotes and his team is always professional to deal with.

We have used Lumberjack for years and will continue to do so. Their work has always through with the health of the tree in mind. Over the years we have used them for regular maintenance on our huge live oak and red oak. We also need them to remove 2, 40' - 50' live oaks on our property. This was handled with the utmost safety in mind for our property as well as the neighbor within trees striking distance. I HAVE NO hesitation about any of their crew members. The crews have always been courteous, answered any questions and did a great job of cleaning up debris. We will continue to use them for all our arborol needs. Mr Derek and his team of professionals did a thorough job for 4 of our live Oaks that needed serviced with lots of sucker growth as well as two of them that needed fertilization. Derek came personally to perform the injections and did the job very professionally. The trees are looking awesome and well rounded. They also did a follow up to take care of a lone dead branch that was high up after Derek reviewed it and recommended it. Derek came across to me and knows his business and the art of tree management well. He patiently explained the details and the reasons of some trees needing extra care. Overall it was a very pleasant and very satisfying engagement I had and very much recommend this service to anybody looking for tree care.

Prompt, professional, nice crew. The price is appropriate for the level of skill and quality of work. Derrick has an eye for detail and he respected my expectations to keep my trees very natural looking. The result is that my trees are absolutely beautiful, and you would never know they had just been trimmed! They also did a hard cut back on 3 out of control vitex and they look like respectable members of the garden again. They picked up every last twig, including piles I had made earlier in the summer. Derrick came back the next day to look everything over and be sure I was satisfied before I paid him. You have seen trees that are scarred, gashes cut in the side, naked limbs, or even the tops cut off! Don't trust your beautiful trees to people who do that. Call Derrick, your neighbors and trees will thank you!

Derek and his Lumberjack Tree Service crews are incredibly personable, knowledgeable, and quick. Derek's knowledge is vast and evident. So is his and his crew's passion for trees. After tree removal and thinning, the debris clean up was thorough. We have a lot of trees on our creek lot and they showed up on the scheduled day, got the work done, and left only a better view when they were done. The next weekend, Derek sent his nutrition guy, who was incredibly passionate about the trees, to treat a couple that needed some help. We already see improvements. And after he removed the stump from a dead tree that they removed, we can hardly tell where it had been and that spot is getting some new plants added to it in the next week or two. They were aces at every form of tree service we needed. This was not our first time using Lumberjack and it won't be our last.

Lumberjack Tree Service was recommended to us by our usual arborist, when the surgery and tree removal we needed looked like too big a job. Several dead branches hung high over our pool. These trees grew in from outside our yard in Lakewood. An entire, large, 150 year-old elm tree in the yard had grown too old and weak to support itself, dangerous to the home and occupants. Finally, big old live oaks out front had dying and sucker branches, needing removal. Derrick, the owner came out, consulted with us, pointed out options, and promptly sent an estimate. Lumberjack's work team showed up as scheduled and did a beautiful job under some very tricky circumstances. The team was smart, communicative, and safety-conscious. Their care and expertise were obvious as we watched them work. And the work ethic was amazing. These guys worked very hard, and were smart about staying hydrated and taking rest breaks. They wore masks when dealing with us. The elm is now cleanly removed. The other trees look beautiful, especially the old live oaks. On time, as estimated. We know where to go, on the sad day when our remaining ancient elm needs to come down.

My very large tree hit my house. I called three different tree services; I chose Lumberjack because their price was the best, and they are insured and bonded. A neighbor had a tragic tree incident with an unbonded and uninsured service - it cost him over $100K. Derek Hebert, the owner, and a Marine is very knowledgable about trees and is most certainly an arborist. Lumberjack showed up on time, introduced themselves, and went to work. They carefully cleared the tree from the house; the adjuster needed to assess the damage to the property. The huge trunk was hanging over my fence; they skillfully brought a limb down with no damage to the fence. The tree cutters politely asked neighbor's cars to be moved to avoid any possibility of them being damaged. I live in a cul de sac and traffic is continuous - in and out. The workers always made sure a path was clear and safe for cars to pass. I was so pleased, that I asked to have an additional tree pruned up. It is a very old tree and I want to save it. They went after all the dead limbs and cut away questionable growth. This tree now looks wonderful. I am so pleased with the cosmetics - the results are beautiful. They cleaned up everything - they even picked up the sticks and blew off the sawdust. Soup to nuts... this was a 5-star service.
