10/24/21 we drove out of our way 320 miles to experience the "once in a lifetime" being awaken by Lions as the website promises.
(Come camp here, and you'll awaken to the sounds of lions roaring! West Palm Beach/Lion Country Safari KOA offers the unique experience of camping next to more than 1, 000 animals from all over the world.)
We arrived at 2 pm and expected to hear the Lions in the evening but it didn't happen. We left the window open in the camper all night and got up at 5 am again expecting to hear the Lions roar to "wake us up" but by 8:30 am it was evident we were not going to have this experience. We paid the nightly rate of $100.69 and used alot of fuel to get here for basically a bad nights sleep. It was drizzling in the morning and we were told the Lions may have been kept in their enclosures so we wouldn't hear them. I wouldn't have come here if I knew that weather was a possibility of not "being awakened by the Lions".
I spoke with the Manager of this KOA who said "there is no guarantee" the Lions will roar (even though the website states they will) and she offered us two tickets into the safari. This is a nice gesture but we are now 3 1/2 hours away so it's unrealistic we would be back and that's not why we went to this KOA to begin with.
I feel our $100.69 should be refunded as the KOA did not deliver on it's guarantee and wasted our time and finances.

Desired outcome: Refund $100.69
