Lack of help in resolving financal issue
This is the worst and the most incompetent property management company that I have dealt with. I have a condo at Arielle in Sarasota. This development is managed by Lighthouse. Lighthouse said, I had not paid a couple of quarterly fees. I and my bank sent and faxed them over 8 times documents that showed they received the payments. The funds were paid by direct deposit by my bank, Bank of America. The bank provided date and time, account number, reference and confirmation numbers that the funds were accepted, but Lighthouse still has not rectified the problem after two months. Lighthouse does not answer any questions. They ask for the same information over and over without assigning a specific person to solve this issue. They have put in little effort to sort out the problem. The next step is to take legal action against this incompetent and unprofessional company.
Desired outcome: They need to resolve this issue and return my money.
fraudulent move out charges
I moved out from my previous residence listed above on 8/21. I was never told that there would be 30 dollars charge to move a day earlier. Additionally I was over charged for rent for that month. Now I have received a bill of 160 for carpet damage which I feel is fraudulent because the carpet was old and stained when I moved in, and I had taken excellent care of the place including the carpet. I have always ensured that I did not damage anything. Over the course of my 14 month stay, I have endured odorous hallways which seeped into my apartment. Unruly renters that not only harass tenants but some that also smoke marijuana on the staircases and hallways. My stay was not pleasant but I stuck to my commitment of the lease. To be charged extra for false damages for an apartment that was subpar in standard from the beginning is not only fradulent but it is illegal and simply a way to take advantage of law abiding residents. I would like to see the details of the report, and I am also disputing all the charges of any damages to the apartment.

We rented our condo at the above location on 2/10/07, and at the time our landlord didn't advise that it was an HOA. Upon moving in, within a couple days we soon found out the horrors of this complex. DO NOT MOVE HERE IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN OR GRANDCHILDREN. There is no place to play, your front yard is not yours. You do not own any grounds. What you own/rent is only the house, the garage and your patio. Once you walk out onto your sidewalk, grass, driveway, it's theres. You're not allowed to have your children/grandchildren's toys outside unattended. I am a grandmother and enjoy taking my grandson outside to play in the shade trees in our front yard (their common area) and we went inside to use the restroom and left a couple lawn chairs and a stroller outside under the shade tree and a picture was taken and a letter sent to us stating that if this should happen again, our landlord or better yet, us, will receive a fine for leaving the toys and chairs unattended, even though I explained that I have a bladder issue and I have upcoming surgery. They're complete idiot's! They harass us for no reason whatsoever.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Didn't the landlord give you a list of bylaws or rules and regs before you signed the lease? If he didn't, or he doesn't have a copy of it signed by you, then they probably cant do a thing to ya. In which case let 'em do whatever they want...let 'em take pictures of your ### for all you care. Its not your problem.
