They advertise solar panels as being approved for CEC rebate and 250Watt output but supplied me with 160W panels, not approved for rebate and 24 volt instead of 12Volt as ordered. They do not respond to emails or letters once the scam is exposed. They do not tell the truth on the phone. They are totally crooked. Consumer affairs in Victoria were useless. Asic does nothing. I am now going to apply for VCAT small claims hearing which will cost me.

Many people have been ripped of by this scummy business. I woulld like to get up a posse of their victims to deal with these creeps while they are still around. Please contact me on [protected]@live.com.au if you are willing to join in an action. I have no car but I can go to Sydney by train. I am a pensioner and they have taken me fort over $3000 which I have to pay back at high interest to the nab. Australia has no viable consumer protection system. We'll have to help ourselves.

Hello fellow victims - I've just been awarded $3000 by VCAT after a hearing which the LHP Power (the respondents) persons did not attend. I feel that my chances of collecting my award are very minimal. You best visit them with a posse of friends and some persuasion equipment before they disappear. I am the person who posted the original item on this site. Very good luck to you - I am Kay on kasch@live.com.au if you need some moral support.

This must be a lhp representative being facecious - pretending to be the ###ed aussie can be a good way to close a discussion.
Rationale - who would respond to that lot of meaningless bull?

The company did nothing - I obtained a garnisheer order from the local court in Blacktown NSW and had $3083 taken out of LHP's bank account by the ANZ in Bairnsdale Victoria, who mailed a lovely check to me. The amount had been decided on by the VCAT tribunal during a hearing where I represented myself, but LHP did not send a representative. It required a good record of communications, receipts, and a statement by a licensed installer and patient persistence. Very satisfying.

I posted this to a separate thread () but repeat it here to 'maintain the rage'-

I ordered a portable electric generator (2kva pure sine wave - $514) on January 7 from www.rv4x4.com.au who have the SAME office address (Unit 5, 110 Station Street Seven Hills, NSW) and to date, have never received the goods. After over 10 phone calls and emails, I have had no satisfaction at all. They use delay tactics and basically appear to be lying. On one call, they said that the generator was returned to Sydney as no one was home. I had no notification of this. I work from home and had no delivery and nothing in the mail box to suggest a missed delivery. I then paid $135 to Australian Air Express to pickup the generator from the Seven Hills address but no pickup was achieved due I believe to rv4x4 refusing knowledge of the order. rv4x4 have been totally unhelpful on resolving this issue. They have my money and I have nothing. I have lodged a complaint to NSW Fair Trading but hold little hope of the authorities of closing down this group of companies that are obviously taking a lot of people's money with none of the advertised goods delivered. I'm keen to do what I can to see this lot behind bars.

I have also just submitted this thread to http://aca.ninemsn.com.au/feedback.aspx in the small hope that they will pursue this bunch of criminals.

I have purchased items from this company also
there was a delay and I got really peed off at them I guess reading this junk on the net fuelled my anger however they were helpful in tracking the item with the carrier
the item was sitting in the local depot with the stupid lazy couriers they did not give us a card or any notification re delivery
I also gave them a hard time over the phone after I read these notes
however I would like to apologise for giving there staff a hard time as it was not there fault at all they were very helpful and great to deal with I would recommend them to all my friends and anyone that would listen

Regards Luke

LUKEs: I think you may be referring to rv4x4.com not rv4x4.com.au. The former states on their web site that they have no links with the Australian company. I found the people on the end of the phone at [protected] rude or just plain obstructionist in the extreme. I have now sent Australian Air Express to the address 3 times and each time, rv4x4 say they know nothing about the pickup, even when the courier quoted my order number, and I have sent emails and had called them. My generator still in theory doesn't exist, but my MasterCard says otherwise.

They are a scam, plain and simple.

I was ripped off over a year ago by Solar energy and have now just received an email from IPO Interproducts online and it looks suspiciously like Solar energy and LHP. Not confirmed as I see no complaints about them but be aware.

I bought a 160W folding solar cell on ebay for $150 + $30 delivery from sales-24-7
All I ever got from them was a FAKE tracking No.
I lodged a dispute with ebay & left negative feedback..
I lost the dispute & ebay removed the negative feedback. Ebay did not check that the tracking was FAKE
I appealed the decision with ebay & won.
I received a courtesy refund of $180 from eBay International AG to my PayPal A/C.
I did a chargeback on my credit card & $180 was refunded to the card as well.

Hi, I have been taken by LHP too. I ordered a 250 w solar panel plus a 30 amp regulator and so have received a solar panel no regulator. Now I am not sure what size panel I have. Yes since Sept 2013 have been told this has an ETA of two weeks. I have been told this every two weeks. Silly me! Leanne

Yes, they run a professional scam, I was also a victim of their fraudulent business and I after several e-mails, phone calls and filed complaints to ASIC and FTA I have found that this criminals know well how to manipulate the system to get away with their criminal activity. After seeing so many cases, I think this is not a matter of Consumer Laws anymore, this is a professional criminal organisation and the Australian Police have to start getting involved.

I haven't pursued this route yet as I thought the Police would refer me back to the FTA, however I think is time to get some interest from Crime Stoppers to investigate them, this people have to pay jail time.

Just so you know, LHP.net.au have changed their name and perhaps their address, I have seen some of their products on Bargains Online, they seem to trade under different names so watch out!
