Online tech support
I was looking for a way to correct a software upgrade issue I had with my JCVKENWOOD car stereo. I went to Google and typed in my problem and their name "ask crew" popped up, so I went to their site and saw I could get my first call for $1.00. After that, I could cancel anytime. I registered and paid my dollar through PayPal. Everything went swimmingly. The tech and I figured out the issue and I got my stereo working. I immediately went to their site and canceled my membership. That was on Oct 8/22. Lo and behold, on October 15, they took a payment of $74.00 CDN from my account. I immediately sent their billing department an email with a request for a refund, then I went to my PayPal and stopped any further payments. I hope they are honorable, recognize their error and refund my money. I will wait a few days for their response and if it isn't favorable, I will go to PayPal and escalate the issue. Good luck to all who have been defrauded by these people.
Country of complaint: Canada
Website: ask-crew.com
Desired outcome: A refund for the service I canceled.
Messed up my google accounts and charged me $1 to answer a question then withdrew $49 from my paypal account
All of my Google accounts got taken over with continual password issues and dead end internet access and then I was told they would help me but insisted they charge me $1 to answer questions about what was happening to me. I did give my info out as I was promised I would be refunded. I finally argued with "Bob" so much he let me out of this "hostage"...
