Last Minute.com / Qatar Airways / British Airways / Bangkok Airways review: Name change

I booked online with lastminute.com and I missed one letter out of my surname by accident. I have spent over 6 hours a day everyday for the last week being passed from one company to the next to try and get the name change corrected. Every one i've spoken to has passed the responsibility to someone else. When i've asked to speak to a manager i've been told they'll call me back and that hasn't happened. Qatar airways are now telling me I have to cancel the whole journey that I spent £4, 000 to rebook at over £6, 000. This is a scandle - all for one letter. No one has taken ownership and it has left me extremely destressed at the situation. I have no idea what to do and I can't afford to cancel the whole journey and wait for 2 months for a refund when I am supposed to fly in 6 weeks.
