Last February we purchased a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited from Lansing LaFontaine Chrysler Jeep. They failed to inform us that the car we purchased was listed having minor damage. The damage was reported on 10/26/2020 according to the carfax detailed history report. This car was sold to LaFontaine two months after the accident.
After we purchased this car, my son managed to drive it for a few more months before the engine stopped working. We had it towed to another dealership in Marquette Mi. They informed me that we needed to have a new engine installed. I reached out to LLCJ to see if they can help me with this issue and felt like I was going to be another business opportunity for them.
The Jeep dealership in Marquette shared the carfax report with us and pictures of the defected engine showing a major repair that was done to one of the cylinders. This was not included in the carfax report.
I feel that Lansing LaFontaine Chrysler Jeep did an exceptional job at selling us a lemon and not stepping up to assist us when we showed them the problems.
Country of complaint: United States
Desired outcome: Please compensate us $8.213.13 for the replacement engine that we needed to install in the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee we purchased off you. In the future, please do a better job relaying valuable information over to your future customers.
