I sent my resume to an add for a personal assistant and received the email below. I thought it suspicious, so googled the company name and found it to be a scam as I thought. I have set up fraud alerts with the three reporting agencies. There have been previous complaints to craigs list but they just change name and email and even job advertised.
People Suck. Have to worry about how to get by, how to find a job and now have to worry about some loser stealing my identity or worse.

I'm a Business owner by profession and I have been pretty successful in a handful of ventures I get involved in, from the Tri square Investment Network in Canada and United State to various welfare and community service programs, Presently I own KNY Ltd so I' often get my hands occupied, so it is imperative for me to have a worthy assistant who can monitor and keep me up to date with my activities.As my assistant, your activities amongst other things will include;

*Scheduling programmed, flights and keeping me up to date with them.
*Acting as an alternative telephone correspondence when I'm away.
*Making regular contacts and drop-offs on my behalf.
*Handling and monitoring some of my financial activities.
Basic wage is $400 a week

Please note that this position is not an office based Job for now because of my frequent travels and tight schedules, it's a part-time, work from home basis and the flexibility means that there will be busier weeks than others, so it's a little difficult judging the exact number of hours you'll be doing per week.If you can manage your time properly, this job may even give you some extra while you do something else on the side.As I have said, I'd want us to get a head start with things as soon as possible. I do have a pile up of work and a number
of unattended chores which you can immediately assist me with, I hope we can meet up with the workload eventually.

I have been checking my files and what i would want you to do for me this week is to run some errands out to some of the orphanage home, I do that every month .The funds will be in form of Cashier's Check or United Postal Money Order and it will be sent over to you from one of my clients and i have some list to email you once you received the funds, You will make some arrangements by buying some stuff for the kids in the nearest store around you so you can mail them out...

I will get you more information on that, I will like you to get back to me with your Contact Details such as:

Full Name:
Full Contact Address:
Phone Number:
Age:
Email.

Once i received your contact information i will get back to you with the task for this week, Understand you will also be paid as well as its important for me to make the necessary steps before i get to the state.I really need to find the perfect person for this job, I'm confident you can take up the challenge and on the long run we should have a relatively sound working relationship between us.
Regards.
Andy Goolden

I received the same email, just the name and contact email was different. I REALLY HATE Craigslist scams, and unfortunately, they seem to be much more prevalent than actual, legitimate postings.

I just replied to the exact same ad, the guys name is Adams Guel. I received the exact same reply. There were a few thing that tipped me off in it. Obviously like stated above the age question, but I kinda blew it off at first because I was thinking maybe he just wanted to know to see how responsible you are. Besides I had already given my full contact information in the first email, so the employer could easily contact me and it is professional. I didn't like how many things he claimed to be involved in and have done. Saying I have the job immediately and he wants to start me working this week. And then bringing money to charities monthly and having me personally buying stuff. If it was legit I would think they would want to speak with me in person to be sure I am right for the job. Overall I didn't like the whole aspect of the email and so I too looked up the company in google and found this post. Thank you so much for posting this and I wanted to comment and let anyone else who may stumble across the same problem that it is a scam. Please be careful with ads that promise you immediate work and instant paychecks. It's usually not true.

I also recieved the same exact email when applying for this position, and like the person above i was skeptical so i googled it mine was sent from a Tim Sowell I have printed it to send to some local colleges and job agencies I'm familiar with so they don''t pass it along to others. Thank you for your post. The contact information needed I could understand but the question about the age was what set a red flag I thought it was kind of odd I'm not sure why I just remember somewhere reading a legitimate business will never ask your age unless it is required you be a over a certain age to do the work. I believe this to be a scam as well. Please pass it on to anyone you know seeking work.
