Kiddopia ?

Update: they helped me with this issue. Over all I think it’s a great app that could be helpful teaching young kids, it just wasn’t for us. I wish my son could of got into the groove of this app

So this is a really cute app and all & I love that it’s educational. So I got this app for my son. He played thru most of the content in the first week or so and grew tired of it quickly. I went to cancel the subscription & it tells me “the url doesn’t exist” basically after clicking many times, I tried to contact them thru the link they provide and it doesn’t take me anywhere but the page I was previously already on and I want this canceled. Not really sure where to go from here but this is really inconvenient.

Kiddopia Love this but one problem

I love this game a lot it is really nice my child loves it but there is one problem there is this game that is free it’s like this fox guy and there is animals that you have to help and houses that you have to help is stuff and it’s all free but when you go on any on them ALL OF THEM ARE LOCKED so you can go on it it’s free but you have to buy that pack thing for a month and then you get it when you buy the pack but then why is it free? When then you have to buy the pack thing to get it? And my kid also loves to play doctor so maybe you can also add a hospital for my kid because she loves to play hospital so can you make at least one of the options on the fox thing free and put a hospital to please and thank you love this game

Kiddopia Good app but inconvenient

My daughter loves this app and we originally purchased it via her fire table with my Amazon account which has a hotmail email address. Even though we pay monthly for this app and should be allowed to use this app on multiple devices, there’s no option to restore a purchase through an Amazon account which honestly makes no sense. I can login to Facebook? Google and apple to restore a purchase but not Amazon? Therefore, we’re unable to use all the unlocked features on our iPad. It’s just a little silly that they’d have this as an app on Amazon but now allow you to login to use it on multiple devises. Overall, the app is decent and has a good amount of games but It doesn’t seem like the update it often or add any new content. For the price, it’s alright.

Kiddopia Another Subscription No Thank You

Another app out there to make money through a subscription model. All content is mediocre. I would gladly pay a one time fee for this app but not a subscription. Can’t be played offline, it’s never yours. You could be paying tens of thousands of dollars for this app and you never actually have anything. Please stop with with the subscription. Updates are not worth subscribing. Please just let people outright buy it. No thanks. Developer will copy and paste the same response to anyone that complains about the subscription. You have to be stupid or super rich to throw close to a $100 a year on such a simple app that you never will own. Stop your subscription and you’re left with nothing. Ask yourself, Would you pay close to $100 to own this app?! No way.

Kiddopia Good app, but insanely expensive

My daughter loves the games, but there’s no way I’m paying $50+ a year for it. I have no problem paying for a good app, but that is not in the budget. If there was a one-time payment option within reason, I might do that. But what content I have seen is excellent!

*edit
Thank you for the response. While I understand being on par with other apps... that does not mean I am going to subscribe to them, either. It just means you are losing access to people who are willing to pay, but not at that price point.

Perhaps an option at a lower rate where one can choose what content to add would bring in more business? My daughter is too young for some of the content, so I do not see value in subscribing to an expensive app where I do not use 75% of the content.

Kiddopia No One Will Respond……

I’ve been a full access subscriber to this app for 2+ years now. It never dawned on me that I might need to be on my phone when my son would want to use the app, until it happened. I thought I would be able to download the app on my wife’s phone and use my logon credentials to gain access. Nope. Not only did it not allow access, the app did not recognize my subscription status. But the app certainly remembers to withdraw $59.99 every December. I’ve tried multiple times to reach out to customer service, but I have yet to hear back from anyone. I did not want to make my concerns public, but this is basically my last resort before I end my subscription. For an app as highly rated as this, it’s a shame I have to resort to this in the hopes of finally getting a response.

Kiddopia OMG.There’s More!?

So i saw the ad to Kiddopia on YouTube and decided to give it a try. I signed up for the membership and then i clicked the first thing i saw on there. I have a 2 yr old, she just turned this June. We did the washing game together then the doctor game and thats when the magic happened. She had so much fun on the hippo game so i loved it too, we do all the animals then we exit out to only find out THERE’S MORE! Videos that play music, simulator games with character choices, fix em up games, coloring!, numbers! Letters! “Shut up and take my money!” We just got this game and she is already doing 4 games by herself now. It’s been about maybe 2-3 weeks and we haven’t played it everyday maybe 2 or 3 times a week. This is such a great pass time and its teaching her too. Love this app.

Kiddopia Cannot cross share platforms. crap

Update: Developer response is unhelpful as I have already tried this and because it is cross platform sharing it does not recognize that the app is already subscribed to. Thank you for actually reading my review to fully understand my frustration. Fantastic generic & unhelpful response. Still crap!

I love this app! My kids love this app! I pay for a subscription but in order to put it on both my Apple device and my kids kindle tablets I’d have to pay for that subscription twice because this company does not allow subscriptions through their own site only through the app stores. To top it off they don’t support cross platform sharing. Basically crap. This is literally both of my kids favorite app and I cannot even put it on there devices without paying double or no longer having it on mine. ☹️

Kiddopia Loved by my ASD toddler

After trying nearly every single kids learning and play app in free trials (some paid), the only ones my high-functioning ASD 3 year old loves are Kiddopia, Very Hungry Caterpillar, Khan kids, Kindle+/EPIC and Thomas apps. I mean, we tried EVERYTHING. However, this is the only app that she exclaims out loud to herself, repeatedly,
“I like this app. I REALLY LIKE THIS *laughsThis app is so fun. I LOVE THIS APP. Yes, this is a good app.” Lol…

Other companies have asked what went wrong and why my daughter didn’t like their app and I haven’t been able to figure it out. So, whatever you’re doing it’s working! Also, it’s pretty much the only game she doesn’t bring me frustrated because something isn’t working right. So, BIG + for mom who gets overwhelmed sometimes and needs a minute. Thank you for providing my child a working and nurturing atmosphere of learning.

Kiddopia Bear and bunny needs to chill!

EDIT:
I still love this app for my daughter. It gives her education that she needs when she’s not in school. But one thing I don’t like is the candytown preschool part where you help the bear and the bunny. They get impatient way too soon! Literally just finished saying the question and they’re already tapping their foot like it’s taking so long for the child to answer. It adds pressure on the child. We need more time to teach the child how to answer it first. I get when it’s been about 3 minutes and no response yet but after 2 seconds and already tapping their foot is just ridiculous. Please fix this!

——————-//
I love this app! It’s educational and my toddler actually loves it too. She asks to do the preschool activities and has learned a lot from it. She just started preschool so it’s good she’s getting a head start with this app so when she’s not at school, she’s learning at home

Kiddopia Good until it wasn’t

Your app keeps charging me for $8.99 and has been since before November. The subscription that my son bought was cancelled way before payments were being charged to me. I have tried to see if I can cancel the subscription again but it has not option to cancel it just renew. I’ve deleted the app of this phone and it still charges me. I’ve deleted my card off this phone and it still charges me. I’ve even re-added the card and tried to make the purchase and it says there’s an error. It’s got so many pending purchases being made to my card that it now refuses to let my son update anything on his phone. Everytime you try to update something it says there’s a problem with a previous purchase. Your app is the only thing I’ve ever had an issue like this with. Please fix it the boy can’t even play anything on his phone because everything has to be updated and it refuses to allow him to update anything.

Kiddopia This app is horrible

I don’t know if it’s Apple or just the app but this is a nightmare! No way to get out of the App on the new iPhone, I was pretty sure it was hacking my phone, I lost all ability to exit out of the App and since the brilliant geniuses at Apple decided to get rid of the home button (as well as the headphone jack and then made turning the phone off and on super complicated but made unlocking it dangerously easy) you can’t get out of the app until you are at the brink of insanity. I have a Masters Degree from an excellent university and I had a real challenge getting out of this obnoxiously loud preschool app. I then gave the phone to my husband who worked at a cell phone store and loves technology and he too struggled for several minutes to get out of the app. Why, just why. This app maker hates simple, doable, and efficient. I think it is the goal of this product to destroy the peace and happiness of parents.

Kiddopia Great, but at an unnecessary price

I think what makes this so expensive is that 90% of the competition is abjectly terrible. You can find a few good kid learning apps that excel at one thing, like math games, but most are ridden with ads, don’t function properly, are not navigable by children, or clearly weren’t designed to educate but to babysit. Kiddopia kills it when it comes to doing its job well, but there is no reason it is $70/year. None. They do this because they can. You used to be able to pay a flat fee for full access, but they took that away EVEN IF you had already paid for it and didn’t care about new features. If you didn’t want to update, if you just wanted it to stay at a base level with everything unlocked, this company said to hit the road.

The free version is cool, but it constantly and annoyingly jabs you in the face to pay up or tricks the kid into thinking they can play something that, nope, they can’t.

If this same game were on Switch or Xbox, it would never sell if it was in this subscription— because those platforms have real contenders. Nintendo especially has some excellent learning games in the past that still hold up, but on mobile devices like phones and tablets, Kiddopia really only has to worry about LeapFrog.

Kiddopia Fun and educational but expensive!

We’re just wrapping up our free week trial. My daughter is obsessed with this game! She’s loving the variety of games and all the different choices are holding her 4 year old attention span much longer than any other games we have. She has been loving the salon and spa game and the community helpers game. She even had grandpa playing with her, so she could show him that he’s a community helper. It was so cute to see her excitement! The doll house decorating (as she calls it) is really motivating her as she has to earn coins in the arcade or math games in order to buy/earn the decorating pieces. She’s learning to spend those coins wisely and is noticing how much work it takes to get each item.
I love how educational it all is and that it’s fun. She doesn’t even realize she’s playing an educational game. I really love selecting topics/skills for her that she needs to work on and I’m seeing an improvement in those skills already. It’s amazing!
My only complaint is the price. It’s an automatic renewing subscription that isn’t exactly cheap. $59.99 for a year or $6.99 for a month is a lot for young families with children, who are usually on very tight budgets. When your buying new wardrobes every season for growing children, paying for a preschool education, the daycare bills, the grocery bills that steadily grow with the children and all that on top of the normal family/household bills, there isn’t much left over. I’d much rather pay a flat price to own the game forever, over a monthly subscription that I’d have to worry about finding the money for each month. All the subscription games I have are $2-3 a month, which is an amount I can snip here and there to make work, but $7 or $60, is a lot harder to snip. I haven’t decided on renewing yet. If it was even $5 a month (the yearly price) it’d be a lot more manageable for many families, and wouldn’t be detrimental to the company, as it’s the same as the yearly price. For a game that’s supposed to be about helping children learn, I’d think they make it more accessible to more children.

Kiddopia Kiddopia

I cancelled my Kiddopia subscription in like the beginning of this year. I saw in like April they were still taking money out so I contacted them and asked for a refund… which they provided. I really hadn’t checked my account since then to see if they kept taking money out bc I assumed, due to the refund, they would no longer take money out. Well I was wrong… they kept taking money out and it still goes on currently. I have contacted them once again and I’ll see if this issue gets resolved.

Desired outcome: A full refund for all the months it was supposed to be cancelled.

Kiddopia Explanation of charges & refund

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the charges that have been consistently debited from my credit card for the past few months. I am a loyal user of your app and have a premium subscription, yet I have been experiencing multiple unauthorized charges, causing significant financial inconvenience.

The irregular charges on my credit card statement have become exorbitant and unjustifiable. Despite subscribing to the premium service, my card has been charged multiple times throughout the month, amounting to a total of approximately $30. This ongoing issue has caused great frustration and financial strain, as these charges were neither expected nor authorized by me.

To provide a few examples of the unauthorized charges, I noticed transactions for $2.99, $15.89, and $5.89 within the same month. As a responsible customer who opted for a premium subscription plan, I expected to be charged the agreed-upon fee once a month, in accordance with the terms and conditions provided during the subscription process. However, this is far from the reality I have experienced.

Kiddopia This app is a tEaSe

My 5 yr old sister likes this app a lot, and in some cases, I do too. But they say 1000+ activities are available and new ones are added regularly, and without the premium subscription, you can only access like 30. In each section, (which most sections are locked) there is only 1 activity that you can do. And the premium subscription is a waste, so why can’t they give more activities free? This app is ok, but the premium subscription isn’t worth it.

Kiddopia Can’t get membership canceled

Got charged AGAIN, after stopping subscription and uninstalling 2 months ago. I cancelled the subscription the day my daughter bought without permission, developer never replied when asked for refund on the same day. I saw the no refund after so I decided not to pursue, just cancelled. It was only $5 so whatever, they probably needed it more than I did. Now again, I’m being charged, this app hasn’t been installed on any device. I’m going to contact iTunes.

Kiddopia You can unlock all of this for free

Why are you telling my child that they can unlock the rest of the content for free and then taking me to a free trial and installment options? This is so ridiculous.

Edit: To clarify, I don’t have a problem with it being a subscription based app. My problem is that the app tells my child repeatedly that they can have all of the content FOR FREE and then takes you to payment options. It’s obviously manipulative and what’s worse is that you’re doing it to children.

Kiddopia Kid crusher

This app looks great with its high ratings and such, but when my daughter tried to play, you can only do a minimal amount of things that are free. Which is fine, I get the need to make a business, but there’s just enough to get a kid to fall in love and then bam. $60/year or $6.99/month. Why so expensive? My daughter just cried for a good 10 min over this. I cannot justify paying this much. We have ABC Mouse and other things she can do. Don’t need this too.

Kiddopia Suppose to be free for a week

Got this to try it free before the buy. 2 stars. A week free means a week free they were to charge the 8th not the 7th. Will be canceling the subscription. There is an app called teach your monster to read that had her reading in 3 days. This is garbage. Fake animals, bull cooking, makeup game you can get free, a Christmas tree decorating app, blah blah blah. All garbage. Not educational at all. Not STEM anyways. Not worth it. 2 stars because she got a day of entertainment. Scam disguised as educational.

Kiddopia Unfortunately it’s Misleading

My son and I ran into the ad on Facebook. I was so excited that he was excited about this app (he rarely asks to try anything other than YouTube kids- and I want to get him away from that and be more interactive) and I was excited because I understood it was “free” and it looked excellent. We immediately went to download it Turns out it’s only one week free trial, then need to pay a subscription. The graphics and activities seem so great, just dislike being sucked in when It’s truly not even partially free.

Kiddopia Too much money for a membership

See I wanted to test it for my baby sister and brother but when I did you had to get membership. Which my family doesn’t like doing cause it takes money out of your credit card. I didn’t like that most of the fun stuff that the ad showed me from the app. Was that you needed a membership. I am very disappointed from the app for the memberships. But over roll it is a pretty good app except for the membership. If so can you lower down the price for the memberships or something like cancel them cause $54 per year that’s too much.

Kiddopia Refund complaint

I signed up for the free trial and was charged prior to it being over. Additionally, the app does not tell you that it is going to charge you for a year upfront. When you sign up for the trial, it says $4.99 per month once the trial is over. I was charged $65.03 again, prior to my trial being over. It was very frustrating to see a charge of that magnitude on my bank statement for an app. I do not ever sign up for free trials because a dozen or so of my friends and family have been mislead or charged early.
This is truly unfortunate!

Kiddopia Deceptive Advertising

We discovered this app through a link in another children's app. My 4 year-old daughter waited in anticipation while we downloaded and installed this app. The developers require a four dollar per month subscription and then give you one week free in order to use any features in this app. Needless to say after writing this review we will uninstall the app with no money for the developer. It is frustrating and disappointing that the developers would use this kind of deceptive and manipulative tactics. #angryparent #dissapointedchild

Kiddopia Super disappointed

This app used to be one of my child’s favorites. She had a complete meltdown when the free content we used to be able to access stopped being free. She was able to use the free content for over a year, then with this last update, no more. They offer a 7 day free trial, which we will not be doing. I understand that paid subscriptions help fund more games and ad free content, but not everyone can afford monthly subscriptions. I’m super disappointed that my child can no longer play some of her favorite games. We will be deleting the app.

Kiddopia Beware. Does not work with family sharing. Major hassle

If you setup your kids’ iPads correctly then this app is a major pain. If you just use your iCloud id on their iPads it will work fine. I use screen time limits and permissions with my daughter’s iPad and every time I try to restore purchases it just searches her Apple ID and says there is no active subscription. I have to sign her out and sign into my account for it to recognize my paying subscription even though they advertise that it works with family sharing. When going under my subscriptions there is no option to turn on family sharing.

Kiddopia Heats up phone

I never write a review but this morning I found my iPhoneXR was burning HOT and this APP was running in the background. I’ve noticed it before when my son was playing this game. I deleted this game a couple days ago when it first happened but my son loved this game so much and kept asking for it so I downloaded it again. But never again will this app be downloaded! Last time I had an APP turn my phone this HOT I had to replace my battery after having my phone for just a couple of months. Now I’m scared this App just cost me my battery life.

Kiddopia Don’t buy

Yea don’t buy this app. They say you can’t share subscription in your family sharing because apple won’t allow in app subscription to share. However that’s a straight lie. I have multiple apps they are in app subscription and I can share in family sharing. Just weird how the would blame apple, when it’s clear that they just want you to buy two subscriptions. What a rip off. I even tried to sign in with my apple account on my spouses phone and it says I don’t have an account with Kiddopia all of a sudden. Bad taste in my mouth. Just say you want the money.

Kiddopia Disappointed. :/

This app showed up on an ad. My 3 year old was next to me and I asked him if he wanted to color because the ad looked like a coloring app.. I downloaded the app and I quickly realized that you need to pay for it... (just everything needs a subscription now) my son was waiting and so I opened the coloring game and had him point at the picture he wanted to color (an octopus) and I then saw that the image was locked (only two pictures to color) my son didn’t understand why I couldn’t open it for him.. that was my disappointing moment and even more so when I can’t afford the subscription for my son.

Kiddopia Price Unstable

The price keeps going up on this app. It’s a bit alarming to my bank account, I will be deleting off all my devices.

Edit to add my response to developer I cancel my subscription when my kids are not interested in this game. It’s sometimes 3 months before I hear about this game not working, then I restart the subscription. This is why I am experiencing the price increase.

It is your app and your decision to raise your prices but as a consumer, I’m telling you that the price is out of budget.

Please make an option to purchase the game and forgo the monthly subscription, that would be another option to make a profit.

Kiddopia Cannot unsubscribe

I tried this app for a month and cancelled my subscription. It just wasn't right for my grandson, but it's got a lot of cute games. However, now I keep getting emails and the unsubscribe link does not work. I think that is illegal! Please fix your link. This makes me want to never subscribe again, although I would have considered it when my grandson is older. Now I'm just annoyed.

Update: I still can't unsubscribe using the link in the emails I'm still getting. No, I'm not going to email you. Fix your website. I have now gone down to 1 star. I might take the time to email whatever agency oversees this, though, as well as Apple.

Kiddopia Education App?

This is a fun kids game you can feel good about your child playing, but it is a far cry from an educational app. The theme is that you can do two sets of a very basic activity before subscribing for all the content. Unfortunately, most activities have very little educational value. The ones that do are hindered by the structure of the app, which even fully unlocked doesn't have enough sets of activities to develop new thought process in kids' minds. I'd like to see a mode in the app where a child could go practice spelling a hundred words and then I could see his/her progress on the activity. Until then, a child will play this app and be entertained-not educated.

Kiddopia Your app does not work

As far as I’m concerned it’s a piece of crap. I was playing with it to see how my daughter would react to it and I couldn’t get past the stupid window I gave the dog a shower, I put a collar on his neck and then I couldn’t go anywhere I was stuck in that window. I couldn’t move the window backwards the backward arrow was in the top left corner but it didn’t work there was no right arrow so I couldn’t go right I tried to go up and down but that didn’t work either I was stuck frozen in that window in the first five minutes of my playing I rated you one star because I think this app is a piece of crap and I’ll refund my money now because I’m not gonna give it to my daughter
