I of course got interested in a novel through Facebook so I downloaded the app to continue reading. I should have realized with how short aime chapters were along with how many coins/pearls it required to open them that this was just a scam to rack up money. There is no consistency in the amount of coins to unlock the next chapter one might be 31 the next may be 54 so once you start reading and you purchase coins you will constantly have to refill your balance to finish a novel. And the novels drone on by creating short filler chapters as a way to eat up your balance. It's disappointing because if I could pay a flat price to read the novel they were quite interesting but I might as well go get a book from the library for free or use one of the other free sites.

Smart and they can code at 4/5 years old. They can hack and make money. Like what the hell. How is that even possible. The stories are jokes and it takes 100s of dollars to realize what and idiot you have been over an unfinished book.

It’s obvious these “books” are translated from people who are not English-native. The grammar, punctuation, and basic writing mistakes are atrocious, to the point that it’s hard to read or understand. I’m not being picky here either, I mean like misspelling and mixing up main character names multiple times. Most of the stories are absolutely ridiculous and sound like they were written by a teenager. There is no way there’s an actual editing process before posting, and the “chapters” are really just pages. The best book on there is A Touch of Sweetness and even it is a little ridiculous because the writing is way too formal for a novel. I wish it would go on Radish - it’s a way better app.

I saw an ad for a book on Facebook and decided to read it. It was nice they gave you the first 16 chapters for free, but after that buckle up because it’s not cheap at all the book I’m reading will cost in total 37364 coins through the app and if you wanting a pricing for coins you pay 100.00 dollars for 7000 coins so you do the math on that and explain where it’s logical. Because for me the math ain’t mathin. The chapters are quite short and most of the chapters are used up by the author double spacing for the next sentence. I understand that these are up an coming authors but for the pricing and what your getting it’s not worth the money or reading experience. I would say I love support new authors but at this pricing it’s hard to.

I started reading a book on this app, and was sucked in by the plot although the book was clearly not edited at all. Several chapters have spelling errors, and the wrong character names. ( Toby/ Tony, Sonia / Sophia). I was overlooking those errors at first. I found out the app wanted coins to purchase more chapters, so I purchased the $9.99 package, and kept reading. That quickly ran out, and I spent another $9.99 for more coins. After those coins were gone, I went to see how many “chapters” were left. I spend $20 to read less than half of a book. I was only on chapter 78 out of 180, and the first 10 chapters I read were free. So, no I’m not paying $50 to read one book. Complete ripoff, do not start any of these books, save your money.

The content is good. Like many others I started reading something on facebook and ended up downloading the app. I’ve downloaded other novel apps this way too. The problem is, the coins are EXTREMELY expensive in this app. Other apps you can pay to open the whole book. This one you have to pay per chapter and the story I started reading has 500+ chapters. I figured $20 for a book isn’t terrible so bought the $20 coin pack. However, after 200 chapters, I ran out of coins! I’m not going to pay $100 for a book. And the “free pearls” feature is a joke. It costs 10-20 coins/pearls to open a chapter and you can only make 30-40 pearls a day. So you can get 2 chapters a day (which are only about 7 “pages” long). I will definitely be deleting this app.

Touch of Sweetness a nice I started reading have over 1900 chapters. In order to finish this book one would be spending over $500 if not more. On average each chapter is roughly 2 -3 pages if actually written in a physics book. When trying to reach out to their customer app due to story having several grammatical , spelling, and flow of read mistakes ( mentioning a character or place or thing when it should me another ) they have blocked my emails from coming through. They do not do their due diligence to make sure books submitted are correct and charge a ridiculous amount to read a book by breaking sections down into small chapters and making you pay more to keep reading. It’s unethical and unfair the readers. Greed is what it boils down to .

I read. I devour books. This is absolutely the worst reading experience I’ve ever had. I read through Kindle Unlimited, Audible, Nook, Instaread, Wattpad, Chirp, Smashword, Netgalley and some online based reading sites. Any of them are better than this App.

Don’t waste your money. The books I’ve read are ridiculous. It sort of feels like someone wrote the books in a foreign language then used one of those terrible internet translation sites to change it to English. It reads that badly. Then there is the problem with the facts. The books bend procedure, normalcy, reality and science to just make the the books longer. The books are so repetitive that they become annoying very quickly.

When I say overpriced, I mean you could buy special edition hardcovers by awesome authors for cheaper than this mess.

After reading an excerpt, I downloaded this app and decided to give it a try. Turns out, you must purchase coins to read chapters of a book. I don’t mind as I’m an avid reader and know not everything is free. That being said, I like to know I spend my hard earned money on something reasonable and valuable. Anyways, Mind you each chapter are sometimes only 4 - 5 pages and books can be up to 200+ chapters. You aren’t given the option to purchase the whole book for a number of coins, which would be fine but then your also purchasing chapters at different amount of coins for each chapter. Example, one chapter of 10 pages may cost 25 coins versus one with 4 pages may cost 11 coins. I have purchased over 1,200 coins and only reach chapter 70, spending over $20+. To be honest, I felt scammed and have deleted this app since.

I as others started reading a book on Facebook. I as others downloaded this app. I as others also spent a little bit not much to continue reading but for a book that has 3000+ chapters that are only 1-2 pages long if that of a normal book this is a rip off. The stories are great but you charge too much. I hope everyone else is smart and sees how big of a rip off this one is. I know these are authors trying to make it in the real world but charging what you do for coins is outrageous. The option for free pearls isn’t enough and the ads don’t even exist to play for free pearls it always errors. Some of these novel apps do daily reading times instead of weekly for free coins or pearls. Once I’m out of coins and pearls I refuse to spend anymore of my own money on a story that’s is going to cost me well over $100 to finish.

Do the math b4 you decide to buy their coins . Each chapter is very short and the book i got into was over 200 chapters probably more a d to advance beyond chapter 16 you have to pay 10-15 coins per chapter. Do the math and you will find that by the time you have completed the novel you would have paid upwards to $100 per book. I refused to pay for a single coin as this money making structure scams people. The book was free for 1st 16 chapters, then starting on chapter 17 you have to pay coins to advance forward so I scrolled through to see how many chapters the book entailed and i stopped scrolling at chapter200+…needless to say, paying a few dollars for online content is reasonable but hundreds for 1 supposed novel with grammatical errors is outrageous and wrong on so many levels. So I immediately deleted the app - what a waste of my time

I initially paid to get Pearls to read the books but I noticed they take away extra pearls before you even opt to read the chapter. For
Example, it may say you have 250 pearls and then when you get to the next chapter it says you have 240 and then it says you have to pay 18 pearls to read the next chapter but they already took 10 pearls so now they have charged you 28 pearls to read the chapter. Even if you get a free book and you earn free pearls you will notice that at one point you earned 50 pearls or so and have 300+ pearls and you watch videos to read chapters for free and then at the end of the day you have only 265 pearls. They basically took all the pearls you earned for “free” but took them away even though you unlocked chapters by watching the ads. The stories are good but I won’t pay for the pearls after noticing they they were deducting extra from me.

The stories in this app are very interesting and well written. The authors of these stories definitely deserve praise, recognition and to be paid out for their hard work and creatively. However, some of New York's best selling authors sell their full novels in the $9.99 to $39.99 range. Spending $4.99 for 300 coins on this app that doesn’t even get you very many chapters is quite ridiculous to me. I loved reading one of the stories in this app and was quite hooked. Unfortunately, I’ve spent way more than I’ve wanted to for this book already and with no end in sight, I’ve decided to discontinue utilizing this app. This app is taking advantage of people’s love for books and reading just to make money. Don’t fall for it. If you want a good book that hooks you and you and that you can actually finish for a decent price…Go buy a book from Barnes and Nobles or from an app because this is NOT the place to be.

Let me start of by saying that the book I’ve been reading is actually very interesting and I’ve enjoyed it. Apart from that, this app is too expensive. Chapters are about a page and a half of a regular book. Your coins are being used every chapter and before you’ve realized it you’ve ran out of coins on just a few chapters. They seem to be adding chapters to the story as you’re reading to make you spend more and extend the story. Before I started the story of my choice I noticed it was 240 something chapters. I’ve paid so much money just to reach 300 something and now the last chapter is “400+”. Insane ! I’ve spent too much money on trying to finish this story because I do like it but they’re really taking advantage of you allow them. If you don’t mind, you’ll be paying about 200 or more on just 1 story. Please be mindful of this before you even get yourself involved. Just looking out for you and your funds

Like everyone else, I started reading a novel on Facebook and to my surprise, to read the rest of this intriguing story you have to download the app. Ok, not too unreasonable, it’s available on ISO, what could go wrong? I read the reviews about getting trapped into having to spend for every chapter. I thought I’d find out for myself, but I shouldn’t have. When I ran out of the few free coins and it was time to buy more to read, I chose to pay $19.99. I figured it’s an investment for a good story and didn’t mind supporting the writer. What I didn’t know was by the time I got to 173 chapter, I needed to buy more coins to continue reading. Before I spend more money, I thought to check how many more chapters are left. I stopped counting after scanning over 600 titles. I became aware it would cost hundreds of dollars if I continued. Although the story is intriguing, the writing is sub par, there were many errors, I was willing to spend $20 bucks on, but not any more. Too bad they’ve created such a scheme to get money from people.

I hope Apple will not allow this app. It’s a trap. Remove it from the App Store.

First what I want to say is, I like the Novel I haven’t read a Novels in decade since I lost interest to it. The this site shows to my Facebook feeds so I start reading it. So I went ahead download the apps , I read till chapter 15 when chapter 16 is lock I have to pay coins or pearls. They have free pearls for new costumer put info and reading in such of time. I’ve collected all those free pearls then starting reading again till I run out off pearls at chapter 20. So I decided to purchase the subscription for $9.99 for coins and pearls. It didn’t take long the 700 coins was used up in chapter 50 something can’t remember I got disappointed cause I wanna finish the novel that I’m reading. And there I go again I bought another $9.99 coins 700 and 100 pearls in the same day. I use all that and got to chapter 80’s something. I’m really disappointed . I want to say to the creator of this site to consider the readers to read the novels with the subscription and have the option for some to buy the coins to pay for the novel’s not chapters or let us have the option buy the book then you can satisfy your readers and stay

As many have and will continue to do, we got sucked into a book that started our FREE and ends up costing easily $100.00 to read just under 300 chapters. These chapters run on average 9 pages and take less than 5 minutes to read. Once you’ve read the FREE chapters now the charges begin. Need to this I was like ok I’ll spend $4.99 for 350 coins because that’s a cheap book to purchase and I was excited to keep reading. Well that $4.99 only lead me to chapter 35 out of 295 chapters. I’m sucked into the book and still justify spending an additional $19.99 for 1400 coins to continue reading g this book and figure it would get me to the end. Nope I lasted to chapter 73 again out of 295 chapters at approximately 9 pages each. Since each chapter is charging different coin amounts, I could be will into $100 for this book. I can go to the store and purchase a hard cover book for under $30.00 and I CANT buy this book to finish reading for under $100. I would never recommend this app to anyone nor will I ever use it again. One time experience to last a lifetime. Sad that you can’t just spend x amount to read a book you might actually receive more readers to justify the amount spent.

I started reading a book that was engaging and immediately drew me in. I’m an avid reader and quickly went through the first chapter (ridiculously short chapters that are about 2 pages worth of material in a regular book). Unfortunately, I extremely disappointed to find that this “free app” is nothing more than a money making scheme! You are required to purchase coins or pearls I order to keep reading one chapter at a time. The ridiculously short chapters are all pay as you go after chapter 15 and the books are over 3500 chapters long. If you fall for the scam you’ll end paying over $200 for a single book! The complaint I had went nowhere and it’s a simple recommendation to utilize their free reading options (laughable). They have the same stock answer for every complaint. If you are person who likes to read very little over a great length of time and pay insane amounts of money for a book, this ap is for you! If you love a great story and enjoy paying 20$ and reading a book cover to cover once you start, DO NOT get this app! Your experience will be to the contrary! WORST APP EVER! Don’t waste your time getting hooked on a story you won’t get to finish! If there was an option to not give any stars in this rating I would. 1 is the lowest so that’s what I give!

Hello, I need the explanation how did your service work. I have started reading a book, and at one point I was asked to pay 30 "pieces" to be allowed to read the next chapter. I bought 700 of these "pieces" for $9.99. I read 3 more chapters (90 "pieces" by my count) and I can't go any further. I was asked for another 26 dollars and to download the app (I did but it was no use so I uninstalled it). My question is: did I pay 10 dollars to read three paragraphs? Is that how it works for you?

I paid $99.99 to this company for unlimited reading but that is not what is happening. They want more money which I am not paying just to use their stupid system. Had I know that this would happen they would not have gotten my money. I have other sites that I pay less money and I don't have any issues reading their books. I feel that you have fraudulently charge me for services you can't provide with more additional charges

It is full of grammatical errors and the chapters are exceptionally short!

You claim there are 4034 chapters, it costs on aversge 15 coins to unlock a chapter. That is approximately 60,480 coins to read this book.

If you are new to this site like me and don't understand, you need that many coins you only purchase a few. Well over $35 latter I am not even a third of the way thru. I can buy a hard cover for less.

you start a book without knowing in advance how many chapters it has and how many pearls it will cost

stories are written poorly "my heart missed a beat" occurring at least one time per chapter. names are misused. sentences are so poorly translated that you want to twiter thzm to make people laugh at how awkward they are.

Today,4th August, Joyread deducted money from my account and as per my bank balance they received the money but the chapters are not loaded. Joyread claims that there was insufficient money but I sent the proof and they are quiet after receiving the proof. No communications.

If the chapters are not loaded, then they must not ever try and deduct monthly subscriptions from account. I'm losing trust on Joyread.

I have spent over $600 dollars to not even finish one book. Then the book is so long that the person writing it decides to keep the same story long going over and over again. Something bad happens then it’s resolved. Then the exact same thing happens but with a different individual and is resolved. So I’ll give up on that book after reading 1300 chapters that are only two pages long and start another. I get hooked but then have to spend more and more money to read it. Extreme amount of errors in the writing of every single book I have read. I’ve read all these reviews and I feel a fool for spending so much. The the answers back about the daily free pearls the company states. It’s not even enough to read for 20 minutes because it charges you 25 pearls for two pages. And you only get like 100 free. It’s insane. It’s time people spreads it like wild fire how this app robs people completely.

So, I was intrigued by the first few chapters they were selling off of Facebook. 368 chapters, a week of time, and $85 later, and the book is “to be continued”. it shows I’m only 50% done. The writing was meh, but there is no author listed either. This is a scam. Super disappointed that I got sucked in, cause the story was good!

This app is such a scam they give you a couple of chapters for free but then you have to purchase coins in order to continue reading. I’ve already spent $15 dollars on a book and have only read 83 chapters out of the 1436 chapters. They don’t give you the option to buy the whole book what a scam and did I mention ever chapter is only 8-10 pages.

This APP is a SCAM! DO NOT BUY! You use coins to read a 2 page chapter that costs 10-20 coins per chapter. I thought spending $10 was enough bc i never thought it would cost more than $10 for 60 pages on reading a book! I never even got halfway and spent all $10! Don’t waste your money! Only tried it once and never again! I spend $10 a month to read unlimited books on kindle!

Total Scam! Initially, I didn’t see how many chapters a book was. After the first free 16 chapters, I agreed to purchase coins for $9.99. After ran out, I toyed with the app and found that I would have to spend about $100 to read the book in its entirety! Such a rip off. I spending $10/month for Amazon Unlimited and read probably 5-8 books a month. This app is a total ripoff!

App costs too much to read a book that you can clearly purchase for less if it’s published. Don’t fall into this trap. Once I’m done reading my 1 and only novel on this app then I will be removing. It’s a waste I’ll continue to visit the bookstore and support those writers. No offense to the writers in this app but their work would get more play and residual income via an actual published book.

I have spent $240 dollars and still havent been able to finish just 2 books.. Like No Exaggerating literally 240 bucks. The authors are very good but this app breaks a regular 80 chapter book into 1k chapters. Now everyday i have to wait for them to release two chapters a day and make all my pearls and coins expire. This is by far the scammiest app i ever came across and imma leave bad reviews every week

I found this app like everyone else on a Facebook ad. I was pleased with the story that brought me to this app however I quickly found out there are no stories about Black people or POC besides on story on about an Indian women in an arranged marriage (so cliche) anyway this app needs more diversity and the fantasy section is just the wolf section alpha this beta that. I will probably uninstall when I run out of pearls.

Paying more for a story that has numerous errors than I would an actual best selling novel. The story I’m reading is interesting and I like it but what a bad creator to take advantage of people

I would have been a long time customer but not now. $35 USD so far and not even close to being done with the story.

The only reason why I gave this app 2 stars is because I really enjoyed the novel I was reading. With that said I have already given them $70 worth of my money hoping I would get almost to the end of the novel, but it states I’m only 28% of the story. I cannot continue reading the story, because I refuse to spend over $100 on just one novel. It is a scam and ridiculous. Each chapter is short, and will cost you about 14-28 coins to unlock. Do the math. Beware!

I downloaded this app this morning to read a book advertised on Facebook. I read the first 16 chapters (which are only 5-6 pages long) and the app wanted me to buy coins. I looked further into the book and there are 281 chapters. At the rate they sell coins it’s going to cost me over $99 to read the entire book. I’ll gladly pay $10-15 to read a good book but not $99. I loved the story I started reading which is why I gave two stars. Unless you want to pay a ton to read these books I wouldn’t download the app.

I started reading through an add on FB. I got the app to finish the book. I read until around Chapter 20. It says I need 38,000 coins to finish the book. The offer a subscription but that only gets me 7000 coins. Why the gimmicks? Just let me finish my book. It’s a cheap little novel that I would pay up to $10 for but I’m afraid with this app it will end up costing way over $50. They also don’t explain their subscription and pricing well. I looked for the book on another platform so I can just buy it and I can’t find it. The Joyread books are only on the app.

This app was on Facebook and I started reading the story and got into it. I downloaded the app to continue reading it and I was naive. I knew that I would probably pay a price for reading the book but this is RIDICULOUS! I spend $5-$6 on Amazon for a New York Times Bestseller meanwhile I continue reading this book and every few chapters I am asked to pay for coins to read more - I’m only at 11% of this book and I spent over $25 already and I am disappointed and disgusted. This is such a shame and a scam! I’ll be reading elsewhere - have fun trying to keep this app alive if you continue this!

Like others are saying it’s a rip off. I tool advantage of the free pearls mentioned by the developers but naturally I wanted to continue reading so I purchased coins and pearls. Each chapter is 9-20 or sometimes even more pearls. As badly as I want to finish the story I’m reading I’m going to delete this app. The story seemingly never ends and after a certain point becomes about completely different characters as if their is a totally different story being told. Don’t fall for it. If you want good quality reads just use an actual ereader app and buy real books or go to the library. If you like comics I highly recommend Webtoons or Manta. More bang for your buck!
